It's early. Let's not engrave that Cy Young........yet. With that being said, that would be win #3 from the 5th starter's spot. If Garland keeps pitching like this, that long awaited prophecy about his potential may just be coming true.

QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 02:45 PM) Tonight’s The Night (Gonna Be Alright) - Rod Stewart (USA) :puke If You Leave Me Now - Chicago (Britian) Wow. That's mine too (11/19/76).

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 03:44 PM) Did Craig Grebeck happen to play on your little league team? Didn't Hawk give him that nickname when Grebeck took Nolan Ryan deep in Chicago?

QUOTE(BigNDfan80 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) It kind of sounds like Red Foreman, but I don't think it's him. That's a good description of the voice though. Nope, it's him. link

Valido hit safely in 6 games, before an 0-4 performance on 4/14 put him at .233. But thanks to a 4-4 day on 4/15, he's back up at .324.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 02:53 PM) MVPmods.com MVPlanet.com The best Xbox roster update available is here. They imported guys like Pablo Ozuna, Chris Widger, and Jeremy Giambi from MVP Baseball 2004. You just have to register with the site to download it. You can buy a prewowned copy for $24.99 from GameStop. The website says they are "back ordered" right now but just call your local GameStop and see if they have a used copy available. Thanks.

I've always liked the M's (except for 3 games in October 2000 ). They're kinda like my 2nd team. And you had to love the competitive banter of Buerhle and Ichiro last year. Wonder if we'll see an eephus pitch on Saturday?

QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) Yeah most of the threads are useless but uh, Neal always has bad outings.. and he really just isnt that good.. so I agree with this one.. career ERA in the 6's.. come on man, hes not that good Well, considering 2003 was his 1st taste of big league action, & last year was his 1st full year in the bigs without a defined role until late, I'm willing to be a bit more lenient. Now if he struggles like this for the entire year, then maybe you rethink his future with this team after the year ends. But he gets the benefit of the doubt for 2005.

This is comedy gold at some of these requests. It reminds me of browsing the Cubs official MB, and all the yahoos on there with thread titles like "Dear Mr. Hendry, please acquire such-and-such."

QUOTE(quickman @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 02:28 PM) We will be out of it by July waiting to see what prospects we get for Everett, and konerko! Then let's worry about that........in July. Right now, the bullpen can be classified as something the Sox haven't had in quite awhile: A strength (including Cotts).

Over 100 replies due to one bad outing for Neal? Seriously people, it's the 2nd week of the season. I'll hate to see how some of you react come July. :headshake (I read some of the posts yesterday, but I'm not sifting through all of them)

Breaking news from the Score. David Schuster reported that the Bulls have said Curry will not return to the court this year due to the abnormality problems with his heart. He said Curry wanted to continue, but the doctors advised otherwise. s***. :banghead

Does anyone know of a website that has roster updates for the XBox for all MLB & minor league teams? I have an Xbox Action Replay, & neither Codejunkies.com or ps2rosters.com has updated roster info. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Apr 14, 2005 -> 08:11 AM) So the flu caused groin soreness? Is that what they are trying to say here? Just wondering what the sticker price on the Brooklyn Bridge is, and if they will indeed accept checks. There's quote of the month material right there.

QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 10:17 AM) I recall hearing the story of Harrelson and Drysdale announcing a game. A hitter breaks his bat fouling off a pitch, and gets a new piece of lumber. He promptly fouls off the next pitch, breaking the second bat. To which Hawk comments, "Double D, it's just like I've always said ... it's hard to find a good piece of ash." LMAO!!!

Radke is right. It is just April. With that being said, any win vs the Twinkies is sweet.

Buerhle vs Santana on Sunday? The way those 2 pitch during games, ESPN better have a rerun of Tilt or Dream Job to offset the 3rd hour.

Sexson just went yard again to straightaway CF. 5-0 M's.

QUOTE(Texsox @ Apr 4, 2005 -> 03:12 PM) Anyone want to dig up the continuing decline of Mark Buerhle thread? http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...tinuing+decline What, he couldn't finish the game? The nerve. Wuss.

QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:33 PM) DODGERS, Isn't there starter David Ross? Jason Phillips. They acquired him in the Kaz Ishii trade.

Go to the roster screen for Double-A Birmingham and select Ty Berrie. Change the name to Brandon McCarthy. Everything else should be correct. Also, change Miguel Alicea to Brian Anderson, & Chris Rae to Ryan Sweeney. Those were the only 3 Sox players as a part of the Baseball America Top 100 prospects.
