This area is 90% Dems. How does that programming survive and become financially viable. The state GOP party pushed their party faithful to support the shows via advertising. Rush is like a a couple hour paid political ad.

We're there. If removing some Troops from harms' way makes the other more vulnerable, than I'd rather have them there. Bottom line, I want to see zero body bags coming out of the region. If that means 150,000 troops instead of 120,000, so be it.

How they self report party alegiance and how they vote is usually different. I'll bet the hardcore, straight tickets voting, party faithful hasn't changed much. A statewide Dem candidate will still have to gobble up huge numbers in Chicago, split the suburbs close to even, and hold on for his dear life and pray for a downstate tornado.

Once again a Mariotti article has Sox fans crying. Not talking about a no hitter goes back decades and decades tradition is what makes baseball such a great sport. For the most part it has remained unchained for over 100 years. How can you not hear the line "there are five hits in the game and the Yankees have them all" and not see that as better than he's got a no hitter going here folks. Some announcers are better than others. Now, I will say Mariotti handled this poorly. A more tongue in cheek, humorous approach would have created a better article IMHO. What is even funnier to me is if Mariotti took 85% of the posts here the past three weeks and published them under his byline, you'd all line up calling him and idiot, doesn't know anything, jackass.

Thank God these guys knew CPR. Such a simple skill, I wish more people would take the time to attend a 1st Aid Class.

I can't believe his show is still on the air. This should boost ratings, as soon as he finishes up his time as El Guapo b****o

This summer a group of Scouts and I watched in horror as a guy was slapping and punching a woman, she made a couple poor attempts to fight back. We quickly called police and kept an eye on them. With me was a cop from El Paso, a very credible witness, he was actually taking notes during the altercation. Bottom line, the woman refused to have the guy arrested. Why she would subject herself to that is beyond me. The only explaination she had was "he has a nice boat".

The articles state he is not fluent in English. If he is a Mexican national, that may have contributed to his confusion, DUI is not a crime in Mexico. It could also explain his reluctance to admit to carrying a large sum of cash. Corrupt cops are more common in Mexico than the US. Bottom line, he was never charged with a crime, yet the government is keeping his money. Innocent. You would think when someone is innocent that the government couldn't seize their property. In the other cases where the government has seized assets, there were drugs found with the money or a strong smell that humans could detect. This is the lowest bar the courts have allowed.

Does everyone see the irony of the Sox wearing those green hats. That could be the most fitting symbol of this season. Especially after they win the Division

Jay could have said it was great that Hawk said that, and the same people would be saying Jay's an idiot. It doesn't matter what Mariotti says, it is a Sox fans blind obsession to call him a fool. I like tha tradition of not talking about it when done well. Done poorly, it comes off like goofy 13-year olds talking about s-e-x
