I wonder sometimes if Presidents (Dems and Reps) are given too much respect and aren't challenged enough by their staffs. I always thoght Powell was an outstanding person and leader, if he had to wait until he was heading out the door to speak candidly, then IMHO there is a problem. And I am certain it isn't just this President, I believe it is all Presidents.

The entire sports world must stop for two weeks out of respect for the Super Bowl. The public can only care about one thing at a time. We want 24/7 Super Bowl coverage. WHY ARE WE EVEN TALKING ABOUT THIS? THERE'S A SUPERBOWL IN A FEW DAYS!!! STOP ALL OTHER FORUMS I think most people can pay attention to more than one story. I can't believe there has been any Super Bowl story that you are missing because a HoF QB is contemplating retirement.

It is hard to measure deterents. Since it is causing people to not do something, who really knows how many would have if the deterent wasn't there. You also have to assume that the appearance or lack there of, is the only factor. There are other factors in murder rates, poverty, battles for drug "turf", etc. Anyone of those changes and that may have a bigger impact than the penalty for murder.

I'd love to see him traded to a upper tier team for a final trip around the league. But I don't blame him for not wanting another season in GB. And I appreciate a city the size of GB keeping a team and doing that well financially.

If we was averaging 27 a night, he'd still be around. The league loves to find a mid range, somewhat known player, and look tough on drugs. I wonder if he can get a book deal and appear on Oprah?

I'm more concerned about health and any changes to his off season routine that may have occured. That may cause a slow start before adjusting to pitchers. And remember, they have to adjust to him as well. I'll take a HoF hitter adfjusting faster than a run of the mill 3-4-5 starter.

This one will be a battle. It's the number two lefty, not critical, but every spot is important. I'm guessing Ozzie goes with his gut and doesn't pick Munoz.
