  1. Even at its worst, the US is the best place to make yourself a success. No amount of government help will make you a success.
  2. I would think that MLB would put some pressure on the Sox to be flexible. Remember, it is MLB that puts together the schedules. I do not think we could have a situation that the Sox can tell MLB who and when to schedule. In the end, I'm thinking the Sox would not have a lot of say since they do not own their own stadium and they are a member of MLB.
  3. Shouldn't that be in the Baltimore unidentfied animal thread
  4. I find any three way trade amazing. I cannot get three friends to pick the same damn restaurant for lunch.
  5. We've had a few Cub daytime, Sox night time games. Obviously if the Cubs played dates at the Cell, it would be a scheduling nightmare. The Cubs would probably have to open up at home, very cold, good for them. Beats the Hawks and Bulls getting bumped for the Circus and Disney on Ice. This could really help the Sox in their competition for fans in Chicago. Every business wants people to at least come through the door. Imagine millions of Cub fans paying to visit the Cell. If even a small percentage decide to attend some Sox games we win.
  6. The only thing they missed was: Vote and log onto an internet message board every day
  7. Answer here By the way, it is even more than any Canadian Province
  8. If you paid for Wrigley through your taxes would you be happy if the Cubs said no and acted like it was their stadium?
  9. I still say f*** the Cubs also, but I have a harder time saying f*** the Cub fans who helped pay for the Cell. I could see the Sox negotiating with US Cellular for more money since their name and promotion will be greater.
  10. We have slowly gotten to the point in time that a person's words are defined not by the person stating them, but by anyone else. In other words if one person, or one group of people are insulted by how something is phrased, it is defined as wrong. No matter how the speaker or writer meant them. Even if the speaker's intent is plain as day to everyone. I think we've become too uptight.
  11. No really, I am still a Chicagoan at heart.
  12. Except the Sox do not own the stadium, the taxpayers do. The same Cub fan taxpayers who paid for it.
  13. When Wrigley is rebuilt, the Cubs should play their games at the Cell. The stadium was taxpayer supported, the other team is a Chicago team. Sending them to Puerto Rico, or Milwaukee, or wherever makes Sox fans look small and petty. We are one city and those Cub fans are also the same people who support the Hawks, Bulls, Bears . . . How about this double header. Cubs-Mets followed by the Sox-Yankees.
  14. I'm still a Chicagoan at heart! Actually only admins have the ability to skew polls by repeatedly voting for their choice. Oops, wasn't I suppose to tell
  15. Of course Bush and Co. was not responsible for the wrong information.
  16. It would be sad if the Cubs outdrew the Sox. There would be no excuses. It would be funny watching twenty drunk Cub fans trying to pee in the same urinal like the troughs at Wiggley. It sure is funny when the other guy gets the cream pie to the face.
  17. LOL, only you would think of that.
