Has anyone else noticed that the offense takes the day aff when the winner of our 5th Starter of the Day contest takes the mound? We pound out 10 runs and anyone of these guys suddenly doesn't look all that bad, they get a second start, maybe feel somewhat successful, keep their heads in the game. Now you look up and down the bench and all I saw was deer in the headlights looks. The whole team is expecting to lose.

Baseball fandom is all about sentiment. I would love for him to be given a chance to play regular, probably for another team, preferably in the NL. I've always been a fan.

Every once in a while I like to plug into whatever my now Sophmore son is listening to. Fortunatly he outgrew NOW 14 type stuff a long time ago. Today was his last day of school and they didn't allow backpacks. So he left his CD player in my car after I dropped him off. I figured I would be hearing some Yellowcard or something like that. Instead it was Abbey Road He's really getting into some classic rock. Last night I was walking past his room and heard the Dark Side of the Moon. He told me after listening to Dark Side he realized what I meant by concept albums, not collectins of singles. Lunch was What-a-Burger and a late afternoon stop at Shakes for a frozen custard.
