You need soil temps in the 50s, even better in the 60s. I always paid attention to the night time lows and when they would be in the high 40s I'd get some seed down. Soil prep is really the key. Are you filling in bare spots or seeding an entire lawn?

So despite their best efforts to give it away my girl's team won their first ever district title. My #1 double bogeyed 18 both days but managed to shoot 69-70 to win medalist honors. Even with rules officials all over the course we manged to have a little drama. Today begins the boys tournament. We are favored to win, but anything can happen.

My school has a cool tradition, opening day is a jeans and pro baseball team jersey day for the teachers and admin. Sadly, I didn't see another Sox jersey but I did see a couple Cub ones. ?

Obviously I'm not certain on the MLB level but when I was playing every direction was through the catcher, that way everyone was looking at the one guy instead of multiple players, coaches, or the manager.

I believe that applies to almost every franchise in almost every sport. I love being at a baseball game. High school, college, independent league, minor league, or major. Sometimes its really fun to not have a dog in the fight.

We just returned from an invitational at the course that is hosting our district and regional tournaments and the greens are the worse I’ve ever seen at a tournament course. Bare spots with poa annua everywhere. My boys won by 12 strokes but my girls came in second four strokes back.

I’m paying about the same. I’m using standard deductions for the first time in years. Raising the deduction made my return simpler.

It's interesting how timing plays into a person's career. So often now it's right player wrong time and players just don't have a career in a city.

On one of our out of town tournaments they were playing Tiger Woods (?) I think it was and breaking par. I didn't stick around very long to watch. I tend to give them space when we take those trips.

I find it interesting that my players have so little interest in watching the tour. I keep telling them that they will learn from watching the best players compete, but it seems to fall on deaf ears. I hope the latest video game is helping.

I agree. Teams seem to be using the system to make money, expand the fan base, etc. I really don’t see it as developing players. Rosters are small and top college players can make an impact immediately.

Your library may have Ancestry available. I know mine does. But you do need to be on one of their computers.

My daughter gave most of the family DNA kits for Christmas. Lots of spit going into test tubes. It’s a little weird looking at results. My dad walked out when I was a newborn so that side isn’t really interesting to me. But to see that genetically the regional references where way more on his side. I always assumed I was mostly German, turns out it’s almost all English, Irish, and Scottish. Also we mostly immigrated through the south, so I can more rightfully claim being a southerner lol. It’s also interesting how much info is available. Yearbook photos of my mom. Records of rental homes.

He is a really nice guy. Nice enough for me to be pulling really hard for his success. My wife taught his kids when he was on the Spurs staff. Pops always had high praise for him.

I still cringe when he talks. I’d be scanning for alternate coverage.

This will be easier. She was the only child of only children. Literally her only family currently loving are our two kids. My daughter isn’t interested in much and wants her brother to have most everything. I really don’t see it spinning out of control. But what a mess. It will take a month just to clean out her apartment. She hadn’t unboxed from her move. She was moving from a three bedroom house temporarily into an apartment and just left most of her stuff in boxes.

Meanwhile parents that will walk a thousand miles, sneak across the border, to give their kids a better life are invaders looking for a handout.

Have a will and a list of accounts, perhaps a whole to do list when you die. My kids are dealing with a horrible mess. My ex died unexpectedly and left a giant mess that will take months to sort out.
