Pro tip: you should avoid sarcasm when the things you say earnestly are generally unclear and/or incoherent.

I was told in a dream that the season would go the opposite way as Opening Day. So congrats, Sox fans (and the other posters here)

And to think he's the guy there in place of Madrigal, then Kimbrel...he's going to deprive this board of a lot of top-shelf bitching opportunities

Man, imagine if one team had signed Baez, AND Bryant, AND Schwarber, AND Rizzo this offseason. They'd be a lock for their division

I sometimes stay at the Aloft in the David Whitney building, which is an absolutely gorgeous and historic building with this grand old lobby...you can look into Comerica from the rooms (though it's probably two city blocks or so on foot). Always plan to stay there if/when I find myself in town for a game.

Nine reg season games not on NCBSC
They're just going to continue to ratchet up the difficulty level for normal people to enjoy baseball, aren't they? How long until access to all 162 games is only available with the "platinum VIP experience"

Detroit (including downtown) has a ton of cool stuff going on--some awesome restaurants and bars and a booming art scene. One of my favorite cities to visit, which I do regularly. The above is like a 2009 take. Baseball aside, Chicago and Detroit should stick together imo

Are the 2022 White Sox better than the 2021 team? On offense, yes, by a lot!
I don’t really think the premise of the post—the OFFENSE being better than last year when we had Eaton starting in RF and massive injuries to two middle of the order bats—should be all that controversial.

AL Central 1st to Last Prediction
So, it was a cakewalk for this team just last season. So maybe it already is a "perinneal" cakewalk?

Cubs 2022 thread
There are going to be healthy and regular servings of ass on the Northside this season. Funny thing is many of the Cub fans I come across -- in real life and online -- don't know it's coming.

Austin Meadows traded to the Tigers
Serious question and thought experiment -- what are the AL contenders that have the "complete" roster that many are furious at the White Sox for not assembling, i.e. one with no-doubters at every position and rotation slot ("every need filled")? Seems to me that there are as many or more question marks in the rotations of the Astros, Yankees, Blue Jays, Red Sox and Rays than in the White Sox rotation (once Lynn returns from injury). Definitely more question marks in their respective bullpens. As for offenses -- just spitballing but the Astros haven't replaced Correa, arguably their best player and cheater. Red Sox haven't replaced Schwarber, and are relying I think on Bobby Dalbec at 1b and JBJ starting in a not-very-impressive outfield. The Yankees' starting CF is who, Aaron Hicks? The Blue Jays lineup is almost as loaded as ours, but their starting C is who, Danny Jansen? I would love to have a couple more #2 starters and feature arms up and down the rotation that are *both* top-level and battle-tested. I'd love to have an all-star caliber 2b rather than Harrison (who is really the only "hole" in our lineup). But that's really not how it works, ever. Every team has a few slots where they're trying to get by, or get lucky, or wait-and-see. We have fewer of those than most.

Manaea to Padres, Sox were in on him
If there will be no baseball until 2023 at the earliest AND no window beyond 2023…do the White Sox even exist?
-
Kimbrel traded for AJ Pollock
Only because certain posters are trying to change the subject after a move that improved the Sox roster immensely and made this offseason a lot better. We won’t be talking the Suzuki distraction for much longer.

Molson Coors new Sox domestic beer partner
Make a soxtalk event out of it. Everyone can write down their preferred offseason targets the FO failed to acquire and shove it in the goose's mouth, then set the thing on fire like Burning Man

Weeknight start times to be 6:10 pm !… what genius came up with this one??
My kids will be overjoyed about this -- they hate having to miss the end of just about every game. It also makes attending a weekday game with kids possible. I will say that this makes it tough for me and plenty of others to make it to a weekday game after work, though.

Contact the White Sox Front Office and Demand Waldo the White Sox Wolf's Return, Southpaw's Immediate Ejection Into the Sun

Jake Burger is actually pretty interesting
Nope, it was one. But don’t worry, he’ll disappear at the first winning streak.
