QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 10:53 AM) I know this is going to sound like hypocrisy (), but I haven't yet gotten past how ugly I find her. THANK YOU. I actually do enjoy the show quite a bit, but I thought I was the only one thinking that Peggy just flatout isn't attractive.
  2. Anybody ever have rumchata before? My dad and I were at the liquor store and it was onsale, so we were intrigued but for the price and the 27 proof, we decided to pass. I saw it advertised at a campus bar once though, so may have to try it later, because it does sound delish.
  3. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 03:35 PM) Ahh, and he was making me so proud until that (he went to my high school)... Oh well, still a stud. Small lapse in judgment. He's very self-entitled, but I guess what football player isn't...
  4. Jason Ford needs to take out a loan and buy the whole Illini team a prime rib dinner!!! ILL-INI !!!!!!
  5. I love Jenkins, keep giong to him and Harris to finish this.
  6. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 01:26 PM) Boom. Jenkins was right, he might be the best receiver in the big 10 He truly is fantastic, his breakaway speed is flat out amazing.
  7. Well that may be the nail in the coffin for Illinois.
  8. I know a girl that was dating J Brown for awhile who probably wants to do that exact move to him now lol. I hate this f***ing offense right now.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 12:35 PM) My experience in college was basically that if you wanted to do well with girls, you just never really took much of anything too seriously...do your best with your classes, obviously, but outside of that, most of the girls want the happy-go-lucky, fun to be around, funny, smart guy. If there is a girl you like in particular, you just play it cool, keep things light, and before you know it, you're waking up next to her 3 times in one week. Then all of the sudden she can't get enough of you, and if you still want to reel her in for the long term, you do it then. But the guys who came across like they wanted something serious BEFORE they even hooked up with a chick, yeah, they usually got passed over for the fun guy that doesn't think too much past tonight's kegger... Ha yea, that's very true. And Im not saying I go to parties looking for a girlfriend, I go to have fun and get s***ty with friends. And I definitely play it cool with girls I like, just not having luck going for the right ones I guess.
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 12:26 PM) Young and Pollard should be getting all the carries. Ford is terrible. Ford should be reserved goalline duty only.
  11. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 1, 2011 -> 08:44 AM) well, just want to point out that this is the 'GOP 2012 Nomination Thread'. That's my point, it's about the GOP nominees, not about the left.
  12. QUOTE (Tex @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 06:02 AM) I read this thread, then tell my gf how much I love her and love our life together. I think the biggest thing is that many of the relationships or stories that have been posted here are in the high school/college/right out of college time period, where most people aren't that serious about finding somebody for the future. And since this is the relationship thread and not the hook up thread you won't hear much about the "successes" people may have just fooling around. I will say this, it's tough being a guy that wants something real and not just a hook up while still in college. Hookups are fine, but it's not what I really like nor go for that much. I've had girls tell me left and right that Im the guy that they want to date, but then they go and hook up with my roommate who gets a ton of girls. So yea, I think it's just a difference in what people are going for at this age.
  13. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 10:20 PM) You spend an awful lot of time whining about my assumptions and not much time proving my assumptions incorrect. Hey! Know you get it! It's just like you!! I don't like counting on war to settle issues, I do think it's necessary in certain circumstances but especially nowadays I believe intelligence and special ops serves a better purpose than all out wars.
  14. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) Ok, maybe not "kill" per se, but it certainly sounds like he thinks I want to forcibly convert leftists. I shouldn't have stated it that way, I don't think you would make someone change by use of force, unless it was an enemy combatant of course. My point though was that if one person ever states a liberal point in any good light you automatically think of them as some awful human being, and even if they state conservative beliefs later you still will bash them for having that liberal belief.
  15. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 09:51 PM) no one said you'd kill leftists, what the hell are you ranting about? Like I said, no reasonable discussion will ever come out of him. He claims the army is so high and mighty, than makes in fun of my for being in a support our troops club. NO.REASONABLE.DISCUSSION.
  16. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 09:32 PM) Well, yeah, I'm utterly convinced the left is horrible for America. So I'll continue attacking it. Soooo no reasonable discussion will ever come out of you, because one disagreement with you = liberal buttmunch who should literally be teabagged until they change their opinion.
  17. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 09:15 PM) I told you what my thesis was. My post was written to follow up on that thesis. Don't like it? Ignore it. But I don't really give a s*** about your hissyfits. Please, your post was written to bash the left, in a thread that it's really unnecessary. You're a walking political commercial.
  18. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 08:52 PM) Geez, guy. Don't give yourself an aneurysm. He called people on the right insane. So I showed some equally insane people from the left. He called a man on the right arrogant, so I showed someone on the left who is every bit as arrogant. The post went along with my thesis that NSS's ideas of sanity and arrogance fall very much along partisan lines. If I'm wrong, he'll come back with another post clarifying his opinion and we'll go from there. That's how a debate works, Mr. I-Support-The-Troops-Cuz-I-Was-In-A-Club-Once. I'm sorry if I'd rather see people actually talk about people they support instead of just bashing everyone else. And seriously, with the last comment?
  19. QUOTE (God Loves The Infantry @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 08:34 PM) You still haven't said what's crazy about them. Bachmann and Santorum have said some odd things on homosexuality, and Perry made a controversial remark about secession in which he didn't advocate it at all but simply vouched for states rights. However, I don't think any of that qualifies as insanity. No more so than, say, Valerie Jarrett claiming that the purpose of government is to give people livelihoods so they can provide for their families. Would you call that insane? Or does it get a pass because its more in line with your own views? And Barack Obama isn't? I hate people like this, let's refute another person's opinion by bashing the left some more!! Did you ask him or did he mention the sanity of Obama?? No, so why the f*** do you bring it up!? Having to attack other's to make a point is just a distracting (on purpose), annoying as hell tactic that gets the conversation no where.
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 12:30 PM) There is a reason for that... This thread would look more like an Adam Dunn boxscore strikeout strikeout strikeout got to first base strikeout strikeout That was a good one sir.
  21. Take it for what it's worth, but a guy that has worked for the Sox and still with good connections said the buzz is all about LaRussa, with Francona behind him. JR loves LaRussa and if there's any shot of him leaving STL, JR will offer him a good contract to come over.
  22. QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 30, 2011 -> 03:03 AM) I'm sorry to hear that, Russ...don't worry...there are plenty of fish in the sea! She's just not the one you want to mount on your fireplace! Yea pretty much what I was thinking, happy I saw this now than later if she was still going to hit om me after telling this to my face. Ridiculous, I aint like that.
  23. Well drunk Russ or not, I will not be asking her aout for Sunday. Her friend and her talked to me about some guy that apparently is coming in from Australia (where she was abroad last semester) and is staying with her for 3 months and will be dating once she gets here. So I brought my neighbor to the barndance instead and we had a great time, but did feel bad when this girl kept trying to talk to me but my neighbor would be all over me. Oh wellz, that's what you get I guess. I tried to be nice, I gave you more than a few chances, but you pretty much lied to me and led me on, and I absolutely hate that. So that's the end I guess.

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Sep 29, 2011 -> 07:03 PM) Says the guy who doesn't know his limits anymore. Just finished another beer, a Spotted Cow IPA. I may be over 25 deep right now....but still going strong, my friend keeps making me drink every game of super smash bros. Did a recount with friends, I had 30 drinks last night...
