I have a friend who has it from Sprint, he hates it (could be the Sprint service with it though). I dont have any experience with it though.

Jersey Shore Themed party last night, craziness.
  3. Why cant we just find a freakin good hitter who cant play the field, stick him at DH, then have a good bench so that if people need a rest its no big deal. Geesh, you dont need a rotating DH to keep people fresh. A platoon of a very strong RHP hitter and another of a LHP hitter is fine with me, but Kotsay and Jones arent exactly what I would be looking for.
  4. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 06:44 PM) Yeah. I want to get into White Collar, but I already spend too much time watching On Demand TV and online streaming TV as it is. I can find myself watching TV for 4 to 5 hours a night because I can fast forward through the commercials. I have way too many shows that I watch right now. NCIS Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Ace of Cakes Burn Notice Psych Man vs Food Top Gear Ghost in the Shell Sometimes, I'll wait and watch 3 or 4 episodes in a row, just so that I can have a life in between. Love those shows. Yea, USA is taunting me with Burn Notice, Psych, and White Collar 3 days every week. Ive been getting into Lost, and trying to catch up on that is taking away way too much time of my life.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 11, 2010 -> 06:11 PM) All of those numbers are consistent with his recent year's performance save 1; the HR number. That 24 HR he put up last year was by being a Yankee Stadium hitter. He hit 7 HR on the Road and 14 at Yankee Stadium. I don't think he touches 20+ HR outside of that stadium. Either that HR total is off or your numbers are. Just being nitpicky.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 04:43 PM) Speaking of that... Burn Notice and Psych have both been solid this year so far. I love psych, actually USA is a really solid network in general IMO.
  7. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 10, 2010 -> 05:00 PM) Note the site you read it on, and learn from your mistake. Anywhere this article can get posted you don't need to bother returning to... 26 Year Old Non-Athlete Calls Out Ben Wallace LOL at that Karl guy's comments.

So Im way late to the party but I just finished season 1 and it looks like a good show. Ive heard season 2 isnt that great but 3 is amazing.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 06:45 PM) I finally get nominated and get 1 vote. Yours?
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 10:07 PM) I really questioned Indy's play calling in the red zone on that last drive. A delay on third down? Are they out of their minds? Did you by chance watch the game at Townsend Lounge A? And agreed on that play, I had a feeling that call cost them the game and I was pretty much right.

QUOTE (SnB @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) somebody had a good night at kams I still havent gone there. Firehaus, Clys, Legends, Murphys, all much better IMO.
  12. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 12:07 AM) Can someone enlighten me to why Ranger is running away with this one? I'm not sure I recall anything he's written. He's had some really great discussions on the board, to me one of the most impactful of the group there.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 12:31 AM) Exactly what being homered means. It happens everywhere, but I just get frustrated when so many Illini fans seem to think they're the only ones who get s*** on by refs. For people like chimpy, palehose, and myself, just be happy you don't have to watch your teams play at Duke. Hell, Gani Lawal and D. Favors walked off the bus with 2 fouls on Thursday night at Cameron. Personally, I expect homering for almost every team, but it may be seen more here just because we have alot of Illini fans on the site. The one thing that I notice that the Illini get unfairly is placement in the Tourney, now that could just be me but I remember alot of years where the Illini were placed lower than expected (by journalists, not just Illini fans) and/or placed in unfavorable locations.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 7, 2010 -> 12:23 AM) It's crazy to think that two of maybe the 5 best guards in America (Turner and McCamey) were in the same high school backcourt. McCamey has matured alot in his game, hes really impressed me thus far. Hopefully this Mich St game is an indication that the team is ready to live up to its potential.
  15. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 10:54 AM) I just run around and randomly engage people. Unless you are sniping, just sitting somewhere and waiting for someone is kind of boring. MW2 has a lot of campers. I hate camping, and I especially hate spawn campers. I love melee knifing. The only thing better than just running around stabbing people randomly in a full sprint is knifing a sniper. Agreed on the campers, its the worst part of the game. The thing is with the knifing, is that it usually ends up the knifer going around killing everyone and then spawn camping, which is incredibly frustrating.
  16. QUOTE (daa84 @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 11:08 PM) rushing the court illinois?! wow...its a big win..but come on Agreed, great win that IMO saves the hope for a tourney bid but this is embarrassing for me as an Illini student right now, no need for that.

QUOTE (soxman352000 @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 09:51 AM) Oh God, I didn't even consider that Atleast you didnt feel anything.
  18. QUOTE (lostfan @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 07:24 PM) bmags didn't call Buehrle a douche Yea, I overreacted and exaggerated that part. Still, I definitely dont agree that that someone should stay and keep doing something just because they are good at it, its his life, if he wants t obe with his family than you should have no problem with that.
  19. QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 6, 2010 -> 07:13 PM) yeah, not sympathetic, so few people have the talent and luck to be successful at the big league level. There's no nobility in finishing early just so you can lounge for the next 50 years of your life. Give me a break. That lounging would be enjoying time with his family, including the two young children he has. Yea, what a douche for wanting that.
  20. Anybody do the long distance thing? Ive been with my girlfriend for over two years, from senior year in high school to present and about a hear and half of that has been long distance. Ive been at UIllinois and she went to GVSU her freshman year and is now at Purdue. I still have feelings for her (which astounds me still) but this whole long distance thing is really getting to me. There are some periods where I cant stand it and other times I dont mind it. Im back in that I cant stand it stage though.
  21. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 03:19 AM) MW2 on the 360 has been a pretty good game to me. Much better than the previous MW game. I have hit the point where you either stay at 70 or you hit prestige mode. I don't have unlimited free time with kids and work and all so I think that about does it as far as moving forward. I will stay with 70 and just jack my guns up a bit more. I get a kick out of some of the perk setups. I love thee Marathon Pro, Lightweight Pro, and Commander Pro perks mix where you are basically super fast stabby guy who launches like 5 to 7 feet when you stab someone. I had a 42 and 7 deathmatch never taking out my gun. Now onto my new purchase MAG for the PS3. Kind of an interesting game so far. It plays a lot more like MW2 than the old socom games from Zipper. So far its a sniping game. Sniping is pretty damn easy and unlike a lot of other first person shooters. They dont give away the kill position. You don't just jump into the large 256 person maps. You start out with a 64 person squad based in deathmatch type games. Then you unlock the 128 person games, and then the 256 person games. So far no lag which is my big worry with the large games. This will be something to keep me busy for a bit as I think MW2 is starting to run its course for me. The next big game on the list is Bad Company 2. I have been playing the beta/demo and it plays pretty well. Thats going to a pretty damn great game for the 360. Whats your live account so I know to avoid you at all costs. Well, I will still have a bit of respect for you as long as youre not also a spawn camper
  22. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 4, 2010 -> 11:45 PM) This has to be the most depressing thread ever. Besides the stupid Jayhawks, nobody's team seems to be doing well this season. Pretty much reflects the overall talent level in college basketball this year, pretty disappointing.
  23. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Feb 4, 2010 -> 11:38 PM) still don't understand Billups for Iverson after they had that long run of being VERY good in the East After living in eastern Michigan for a few years, it was obvious that the Pistons made the trade just to make a trade. The GM got so fed up with losing in the playoffs that he wanted to break up the core to motivate them, obviously that didnt work too well in hindsight.

03 Hyundai Accent, I love that car. Not much to it, but I love it.
  25. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 2, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) You don't need to go to a school that costs 30K per year. I went to a state school, paid under 1000 a semester (now prices have been raised and it is now about 2000 a semester), but that is a far cry from 30K a year and it is an affordable amount. Even if you go to a University, you wouldn't be more than 15K a year in tuition I'd imagine. Now there are living costs, but that is an entirely separate issue. With room and board the total cost per year for me at U of I UC in the business school is about $25,000, tuition itself is about $13,000 a year and the business school charges an extra $4000 a year just to be in it. You can go to the non flagship state school, but you are still looking at $8000-10000 a year in tuition plus living expenses.
