I agree completely. I was barely able to watch the race last night I was so nervous so I watched most of the Sox game and a special on the Black Dahlia instead lol (still flipped over to the race as well as chatted with other Burton fans).

Jake. I know Kurt is the starting QB for the Cards, but I think it is only a matter of time before Leinart takes over. Kurt's a good guy, but he looked rough in the pre-season.

NC State completely broke my heart today. I was Amato would get around to recruiting a QB (Stone blows) and some guys for the defense since most of their defense graduated last year. ETA - at least MSU (Go Spartans!) is playng much better than the WolfPack played.

Actually, isn't he correct, in a way? I thought the failure had to due with the weakening of the steel and the floor design (trusses and such), not that it needed to melt the steel persay.

I am reading Joseph Wambaugh's "The Blooding" and recently finished his "Echoes in the Darkness." I am planning on getting a couple books on the Black Dahlia (read a couple websites and saw a few book suggestions).

Similar situation happened to my family when I was a wee lass. My dad had a great job with US Steel. 1981 rolls around and he is laid off due to irresponsible schmucks in the upper levels. My dad loses his job when there are no jobs to be found especially for guys who are not citizens and have no papers to prove they had any schooling. It sucked, but we survived. As for people who buy cars they cannot afford, I used to see that crap everyday at the grocery store I worked at putting myself through college. They would hand me their Link cards to get the cash and then instead of using it for bills, or laundry soap or something, they flash their gold, manicured nails, name brand clothes and use the money to pay cell bills and then play the lottery. That absolutely infuriated me when that would happen.

Actually today is a full moon lol.

That series of shows (I think there were 3 or 4 of them) were interesting to see how the family functioned.
