QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 10:10 PM) If Freddie Mercury came out (no pun intended) and said he was "cappin' hoez from 9 til noon" I would listen to rap for the rest of life. LMAO!!!! Speaking of, I just received my tickets for the 3/23 concert - now I have submit my vacation form and I will be good to go. Now to find out if Brian or my god-mother is attending with me.

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 9, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) this has to be the worst year in Gretzkys life. He has had some other issues this year about his coaching and didnt he leave the team for a short period of time? i havent seen many good things about Gretzky on ESPN this year, I know that. His mom was sick and then died shortly after his return. I think there was another death in his family as well, but I could be wrong about that. -

I love hockey; my honeymoon revolved around the Carolina Hurricanes. I really hate seeing this because regardless of how deep this goes and what they are betting on, because the media is running this full tilt, that's what people will be talking about instead of hockey being back and better than ever. I am still going to go home, flip on Center Ice and watch the Canes take on the 'Ing in Tampa. It will be a VERY tough game as the 'Ing have the Canes' number (saw one of the losses but at that time the captain and a couple other players were on IR) - GO CANES!! -
Woohoo - I just found out I can sneak in here between 12 and 1 or so.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 8, 2006 -> 04:49 PM) janet gretzky placing bets = wayne gretzky placing bets That was my first thoughts when I heard she was involved. I don't know what to think of the whole thing, but as long as no Canes and Sens were involved, I won't get completely bent out of shape over it.

I'm now signed up - thanks for setting it up.

Sorry if this is posted somewhere - I did do a search via yahoo and didn't find anything. Is anyone here up for a NASCAR fantasy game?

Ok, I made the mistake of checking out the Mercury Milan when I was getting my oil changed a couple months back. Brian went in yesterday and traded in his Mustang for a Marauder so I started talking to the salesman to see what I can get for my car and ended up ordering a Milan (since they couldn't find one with the options I wanted, we speced one out for a factory order). I put $500 down, but can get it back if I chose not to get the car. I am waiting to find out what I can get for mine. Currently I have a 2002 Mercury Cougar that has just shy of 90K miles on it and a lifetime drivetrain warranty. So far, I have had the fuel pump replaced (recall), a wheel bearing (my fault, but it was covered by the lifetime warranty) and an altenator (not covered and cost me with battery $600). I ran the numbers based on different levels of what I could potentially get on trade in and I could even afford it if I got nothing - although that is NOT an option for me. KBB states $6400 based on mileage and condition, but because of mileage, I have no idea what this guy is going to be able to work out. I am hoping for $6K, but would not take less than $4K for it. So in that sense, this whole thing hinges on what they'll give me. Saying they come through and give me $4K or better, what would do you guys and dolls think I should do? I ran the numbers and I can definitely afford it, I just feel odd about trading my Freddy in; almost like I am turning my back on him. I know, stupid, but that car has seen alot of events in my life (moving in with the Brain, bringing my wedding dress home, taking me to see my nephew when he was a few minutes old and Freddy took us to the hospital and the subsequent events when my FIL had his stroke). Honestly, the emotional aspect is the only thing that is really holding me back on this saying I get what I want for my Cougar. Just curious to see what people here think.

I heard about that and am excited to see the new ones. That is one series that really grew on me when I started watching it on Adult Swim.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 04:34 PM) I am a catholic as believe whole heartedly that these predators should be handed over to the authorities for prosecution. The catholic church cannot handle this within. Its too political of a body and favorites, and favoritism gets in the way of investigations. IMO they should de-frock the priest, ex-communicate them, and then give them and any evidence over to the autorities. There are a lot of good men who are priests that have their name dragged through the gutter because of a few morons and some political mess that protects them. The quicker the church outs the evil from the itself, the quicker we can reclaim our priests as a group of holy men who help preach the word of God. I am Catholic as well and agree with you 100%.

QUOTE(DukeNukeEm @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 05:06 PM) f*** you SurfControl. Yeah, that is why I cannot access this site at work (but yet most other message boards I frequent I can get in without issue). That damned surfcontrol is actually causing me a great deal of issues when I try searching the internet to answer a customer's question.

QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Jan 27, 2006 -> 04:46 PM) In all his time in Chi-Town, he might have used it twice. So far, he has looked pretty good with the Canes. Too soon to know whether Babchuk is going to fit in, but Richmond never had a place with the Canes this season (he spent more time with the Lock Monsters).

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 19, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) I take it that's possible when you're in Mich City (that's where you're at correct?) but somehow I doubt that people living closer to the city, or for another example anywhere in the state of California, are following those guidelines. If you put Brian's and my salary together, our mortgage is less than twice that by a good bit. Now, if we are talking about what the house is worth, that is a horse of a different color .

So far we have maybe an inch here. Looks like it is still snowing. I guess the far north suburbs already have about 8 inches of snow.
