Don't forget McCann. I'm sure he was much happier in the AL Central than NL East.

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
White Sox RS/RA differential ends up making TLR look like a genius if Phil Rogers is still assessing the team so simplistically . Almost 8 runs. Wind not carrying the ball, a bit cold night game prevented the homer for Kike'.

They're going to come up with a full 8-10 verse Nationwide song at this rate. Jose Ruiz next man in.

Old teammate Odor just homered against Yankees for a 5-3 lead. Would be four losses in a row for Yankees if that holds up in BALT. F U Donaldson!!! Serves them right. Also, looks like Clay Holmes will supplant Chapman as the closer, and soon.

Best Starting Rotation in MLB
Please lock/close thread, lol. You at least have to be a +10 games over .500 team in the AL Central to be deserving of this accolade.

Trade Talk With Rick Hahn/Merkin
Guess we need to try Yale (Epstein). Stanford/Haber isn't doing so hot, either. Although we really have no idea if he's good or bad...because he's a mirror of Hahn, and you have to figure in TLR/JR/KW as well. This MLB.com article is a bit out of date, but illustrative as a general trend. Of the 30 general managers or GM equivalents in the Majors today, 12, or fully 40 percent, have Ivy League backgrounds. Harvard leads the way with five. Princeton has two, as do Cornell (Daniels) and Dartmouth. Penn has one. No other collegiate group remotely approaches this number. And this does not include the man whose success started the trend. Theo Epstein is a Yale man who was in a leadership role for the two teams that broke the most storied World Series championship droughts in history -- the Red Sox and the Cubs.

To me the biggest shocker so far this week (and it's early in Game 2 of the series) is how well the Guardians are playing the Astros in Houston.

Already covered. He NEVER in a million years had the arm for RF, so that entire trade was flawed from the very start considering the fact Jimenez was the planned for LFer at the beginning of the season.

What's the average exit velocity so far for Boston, 106-108? That one was 112. 54 pitches, 6 runs on 7 hits. YIKES.

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Well, Boston couldn't buy a hit with RISP that series in Fenway. WHITE SOX (almost) ALWAYS SHIT THE BED after a big emotional series like they just went through in NYC. Can't blame this one on a big crowd though, looks to be around 20,000ish.

2-0 Twins. Now Correa starting to heat up. 5 1/2 GB would be the low water mark of the division race. White Sox have final four months to try to chase down MINNY or at least a WC spot, but not like they drew it up this offseason. Lynn isn't expected back until around June 12th-15th.

Curse of the Best Rotation in Baseball Thread. Just like the Curse of the Best Bullpen last year.

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Bradley 7 for his last 12. Good God. Have to pull Cease. He's not as strong mentally as Giolito IMO.

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Leury Legend might be in again by the end of this. Or Abreu, to mimic Pujols. Of course, one of those position players would get hurt, somehow. Need to just throw it up there in the 60's like Brett Phillips. Shades of the Lucas Giolito Patriots Day Massacre. I think that was 8 runs maybe? At least 7.

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Another offline throw by Pollock. Who knew? Nobody warming up yet in the bullpen. If Bradley's going to start hitting, it's game set match. Kike, too. Loud contact. Pull him LaRussa. Just let everyone in your B bullpen group pitch 1-2 innings. And still nobody out.

3 for his last 31...they might have brought him back too quickly, because Charlotte/AAA at-bats are so misleading. That said, most thought he was down there TOO long.

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
If it was one of those Eurosport soccer possession stats, 80/20 or 75/25 in favor of the Red Sox...
-
5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
They've been doing almost all of this without Correa (now back) and Buxton in a terrible slump, all the way down to .217 but 11 homers and an 875 OPS and still playing great defense when he manages to play the field.

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Chilly weather, no Robert...pitcher who mastered us last time, most logical bettors would take the under. Obviously baseball betting is almost impossible. Caveat emptor. Moncada just 3 for his last 30. Yikes. "If your best player is your best person and leader, you've got a great chance." Gene Mauch

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Pivetta was on a terrible run until he faced the White Sox last time out. Maybe we'll get a reversal. Seems hit back fast or settle in and only score 1-2 runs and basically don't recover in this game.

5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Obviously Story's season has been incredibly streaky. Saw and heard all the boos the last time we saw them. But we really needed a starting 2B, and it was down to him or Baez. Story's road splits over his COL career were always a bit worrisome, but Arenado obviously made the adjustments and it appears Story now/finally is, too.
-
5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Well, we're not going to win anything with a losing record at home... At best, it's a battle with Toronto/Boston/TB for the wild card, along with LAA and maybe the Guardians.
-
5/24 Pivetta vs. Cease 7:10
Wouldn't Story be leading all the White Sox hitters in homers JUST IN THE PAST WEEK? That's 7 in a week, and 8 overall. Maybe we can trade them Moncada back for Story, lol.
