  1. If they don't pull this game out, it might go down as one of those handful of season tone changing ones like the Naylor game.
  2. We have drug problems on this team too? Or overconsumption of soda? Maybe it's the yoga that is getting in his head too much...
  3. Seems like a Dodgers home game based on the crowd noise on the radio. Yikes. One bad inning facilitated by Burger, misplays. Starting to roll instead of snap off speed stuff. Pitch count way elevated. Third time through the lineup.
  4. Burger has to come in on that one more aggressively with Turner running. Just giving more bases away...could be trailing with another base hit. And the entire game getting away with the Sox.
  5. Cease already nearing 100 pitches...
  6. Could see that coming a mile away.
  7. If the analogy is more about Moncada and less Grandal, sure...but there's just no way to know right now if it's just age or general wear and tear catching up with a mid 30s catcher. There were a lot of questions about his health...Konerko that is...his supposedly debilitating hip condition from his time with the minors.
  8. Brusdar Graterol and Luke Raley in exchange for veteran starter Kenta Maeda and Jair Camargo. Raley I think part of TB anti LGBTQ protest in pen...Maeda if he returns the last 6 weeks of the season off major surgery could still be a big factor for Twins down the stretch.
  9. Abreu and Muncy both have highest EV and barrel percentages of career. Results not quite aligned yet.
  10. Called out Felipe Alou for never coming out of the clubhouse...in SF. Watching his son's games on tv instead. Not being present enough a big red flag.
  11. Pierzynski saying he would be open to managing in the right situation...doesn't seem like he wants to put a lot of time in the minors though. Two keys: Open/honest communication. Put players in the best position to succeed. Characteristics of his best former managers.
  12. Hope he goes to another AL Central team. Don't think they will fall for it, though. Maybe the Royals, but he would need to be a born-again Christian if Dayton Moore's still the shot caller.
  13. That's not the problem with Moncada. If that's the case, Liam Hendriks needs to lose a lot of weight, comparatively.
  14. Nobody has a clue what he is or isn't responsible for with this current dysfunctional leadership arrangement.
  15. He has told or at least intimated to members of the media he’s still not 100%. It’s not like this is the first time there has been a disconnect on a Moncada injury. And nobody trusts their strength + training/conditioning group right now.
  16. You didn’t know a year ago Burger might be a viable replacement, though…
  17. They’ve motivated their fans to attend games in droves. That, in and of itself, is quite important to sustaining payroll. Has Hahn managed the same? Baseball, in the end, is about entertainment. https://twitter.com/gilxred/status/1447712141583257603 In the bottom of the third inning with the White Sox trailing 5-3 and two runners on base and Leury García at the plate, the fan promised to a get a tattoo in García's honor. https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/sports/chicago-baseball/white-sox-fan-gets-leury-garcia-tattoo-after-huge-home-run-in-game-3-of-alds/2634944/ As you can see above, that fan who got the Garcia #20 tattoo has gone into Witness Protection with Bartman.
  18. They might as well DFA him if that’s their best idea…he 100% needs to be on the IL, whether it’s physical, psychological, or both.
  19. Imagine the Cubs dealing Bryant and Baez in 2017…
  20. Yet still somehow faster than Vaughn and Sheets in the outfield.
  21. Now playing 3B for the White Sox, Jim Morrison…
  22. Grandal falling apart before pitch framing niche advantage completely disappears…
  23. https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/32151/tyler-anderson White Sox hitters 10/48 career wise. Half those hits from Pollock. One homer was Grandal. 5/30 or .167 if you take out AJ.
  24. But Trout is quite similar. Otoh, Buxton looks almost too thin but it doesn’t seem to affect his power at all.
