  1. He's not going to get it from the Sox now...and that might be for the best all things considered. More value trading him like the Twins did with Berrios last year.
  2. It's all due to that $25-50000 disagreement lol. Probably nausea caused by considering how unlikely it is that the Sox score more than 3 runs to bail him out.
  3. Royals had 546 dogs for Bark at the Park. Odds on dogs counted leading WS runs scored this season? First AL home run for Bobby Witt. 109 EV. Well over 400 feet 436 to be precise. Each of his four topping the previous in distance.
  4. White Sox either the third lowest in majors or certainly AL against any type of breaking ball. Just .186, and what does Greinke specialize in now? There you see it against Robert although his homer off Barlow was a hanging inside slider.
  5. That makes a lot more sense. Because 66 stolen bases would be two per game. Once upon a time, a 35-55% success rate was more the norm across baseball.
  6. Crazy. I don't remember any of them but I can't watch the majority of games at work lol.
  7. Didn't want Keuchel's 2022 option to best. Shades of 2014/15 Royals on basepaths. I mean, Grandal has a, what, 3-5% rate of success throwing out anyone...even if the runners are held properly.
  8. Good teams play over those mistakes though. Certainly against lousy teams.
  9. One of those laborious outings where he struggles through 5+. Merrifield really heating up recently. Once again failure to control the running game. Rhythm tempo control are all off. Basically the opposite of Singer last night.
  10. They must all have the patented wincing & groaning Moncada/Robert expressions on their faces.
  11. Just having to listen to his "professional or competitive" at bats nonsense for an inning or two was already enough punishment for the fanbase.
  12. Let's hope this matches your last prediction between us.
  13. Against Greinke? More likely to get shut out the way the offense is flailing away.
  14. Down to 18000 Dow in 2020, 2007-08, 9/11 aftermath, tech/Nasdaq crash in 1998-2000, 1987…those were all much worse (obviously). But a 15% correction seems a bit of a shock with how low unemployment is, and how much profit some companies are raking in. That said, it was long overdue. You have interest rates rapidly climbing, affordable housing shortage, climate change, abortion battles, Ukraine, election year, gas prices, impossibility of spending under $100 at the grocery store, etc. The government might be at its most dysfunctional since the Civil War in many aspects.
  15. Every time one sees Leury or Harrison starting there's a tendency to ask yourself why didn't they just spend $11 million on a better player instead and not create two lineup holes simultaneously... Also, might want to consider winning these two games before heading to the Bronx. A loss tonight would mean 3 1/2 games back. Low water mark is 4.5 games behind Minnesota at the end of that 8 game losing streak.
  16. It happens more often than not. Not many professional players have made it out of Wisconsin. In the last 20-30 years, Brad Radke arguably the best. https://www.milwaukeemag.com/best-wisconsin-born-baseball-players/ Bob Wickman, Jordan Zimmermann and Rays pitcher JP Freyereisen three more.
  17. Of every government in the world outside of Singapore Norway Finland Sweden and NZ.
  18. Robinson Cano had two hits yesterday.
  19. https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/giants/why-giants-made-difficult-call-send-luis-gonzalez-minors
  20. And Vaughn over Sheets at DH despite handedness a newer approach.
  21. Fwiw, he's going to miss about same amount of time as Eloy, mid to late June return. Eligible to come off DL as early as June 7th but just doing light baseball activity and not close to hitting in Peoria AZ.
  22. ReyLo has been useful but consistently underperformed expectations. Still a great trade on Gio alone and Dunning of course turned into Lynn.
  23. It was similar to a Pollock throw…way too much air under it but largely accurate. He was closing in on the deep deep SS position in the OF and Harrison hadn’t even hit the bag yet.
  24. TLR claimed he was never a great fit for the role they forced him into. Maybe should have gotten on the same page before that ill-conceived move?
