  1. Crochet might have a low ERA but very hard to trust the guy...
  2. Fitting that the hitter with the worst OPS in baseball is the designated Abraham Toro of this series... So much for Moncada being one of the top 10-15 players in baseball...that’s all going in the wrong direction.
  3. Of course...can’t ever count on the bullpen for an extended stretch this season.
  4. TLR might want to make a quick break for Atlantic City....Uber is probably advisable. Lol at Eli Captain Morgan throwing about as hard as Shingo Takatsu and wiping out the Cubs. Bryant homer, Cubs lead 1-0.
  5. Hopefully that woke them up. Now only have to worry about the defense and bullpen. Ron will be elated Abreu’s hit was “only” on an 82 mph changeup. Clutch? Seems so.
  6. Rabbit is 2/3rd’s right. It is suspicious with their recent slide and deadlines passing...but look at Kelenic’s struggles, or Vaughn against RHP. Those were much more experienced players. Then factor in the Covid season and lack of quality at-bats in real game conditions. This is not Kris Bryant 2.
  7. And yet a number are seemingly unexcited by adding a second baseman with 50% more homers than Grandal.
  8. Without Moncada and Abreu driving the ball...doesn’t matter where Grandal hits.
  9. They’re going to run the starting rotation into the ground by August.
  10. Uh-oh. Hitting with RISP. Let me guess, Goodwin tried to throw home foolishly and missed the cutoff man? Need to start considering the David Ross treatment with Baez...of course, just like YerminGate, Baez is hitting .111 in June so White Sox unlikely to get any help from him.
  11. Not quite the same 2005 Indians team with Ozzie fawning all over Grady Sizemore...
  12. Might be an insult to Bevington, Ventura and Greg Walker...
  13. Well, the Cubs might be hitting worse than the Sox...if that’s possible. Mejia, Quantrill, Hentges and Eli Morgan the starting four in Minnesota this weekend. Indians have no idea who their fifth starter is. Civale will have his finger examined by an expert tmrw, will likely miss at least 2-3 weeks. Reyes and Roberto Perez are close to returning from rehab assignments.
  14. Newman was 20/33 in the spring. Now has the worst OPS in all of baseball.
  15. This is where the Indians are beating us now. Harold Ramirez has around an 800 ops and Bobby Bradley has come up and made a big impact as well. As with Mercedes, remains to be seen if they can keep it up after the league makes adjustments. https://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/CLE/2021.shtml Only Jose Ramirez, Luplow and Reyes over 100+ wrc. Harold Ramirez and Bradley (two rookies) have joined them...of course, Reyes and Luplow are both out. Basically, the Indians have a much better...certainly more reliable...back end of the bullpen in Shaw, Karinchak and Clase.
  16. Who has graded out as one of the worst CFers in past years... We’re going to kill our starters with the outfield defense, and really piss off Lynn even more than in his last couple of outings with miscues behind him.
  17. https://www.yahoo.com/news/former-kansas-city-royals-star-121247672.html The Zobrist marital affair just got wackier...$6 million lawsuit against former pastor/marital counselor filed.
  18. Well, there’s that rule...like at 32-15 last year or just four games ago....when we get at or close to the top of MLB, the bottom seems to fall out. Hard to imagine a 3-10 stretch with this schedule, but stranger things have happened and Pittsburgh is no patsy at home. They played the Indians really tough last week.
  19. Unless you DH him and send Mercedes down...of course, they could also go to Sheets but more likely they trust the bets with at least some big league experience/pedigree like Engel, Lamb and Goodwin. Then there’s the whole Mendick vs. Leury vs. trade/acquisition argument as well. Not sure they’re ready to give Collins more at-bats at DH. At any rate, something’s gotta give but Hahn might get lucky temporarily and be saved by the schedule gods for at least another month.
  20. As long as they perform more like 2008 Quentin and 2016 Eaton than Alex Cintron...
  21. Yes, the Tigers swept the Yankees. The Dodgers lost 15/20...the Rays are also struggling to score runs, thus the Franco promotion. We'll see if the White Sox put their money where their mouth is and take advantage of this season with Lynn and Rodon or just keep waiting until next year. It's probably a good thing the Indians are nipping on their heels. Backing onto the playoffs or resting regulars is an easy way to get caught flat footed.
  22. Which team has been the best in baseball since 2013? Dodgers or Astros? Cubs? Yankees? Red Sox? Let me know when we start dominating them in head to head series on a consistent basis. Right now, the Padres' second and third string on the Indians (Reyes/Naylor/Quantrill/Hedges) is giving a team led by Rodon and Lynn and their historic numbers a strong challenge.
