  1. And Darvish, although that was more a cost cutting move.
  2. Sheets now 5/16 on the season...might have to bench Jimenez lol.
  3. Theo Epstein not looking like quite such an idiot in retrospect on Gleyber Torres and Jimenez...Soler career resurgence has been the real surprise.
  4. 28/43 pitches fastballs from Ober.
  5. Kopech needed that easy 1-2-3 inning. Let's go 1984-1989 White Sox offense. Who is tonight's Ivan Bubbling Calderon?
  6. Leury's normally one of the best fastball hitters...just not getting a good look at the pitches at all. Deceptive.
  7. Become it's like he is throwing from 59'9" at that height and extension.
  8. Ober gets better and better the more times the Sox see him...that extension makes 92-93 seem more like Kopech velocity. And now pretty much the entire lineup is in free fall...other than Sheets taking some solid swings.
  9. Ober is like the pitcher Jon Rauch was supposed to be...has added about 4 mph to his fastball. And fwiw we are really fortunate to have missed #1 starter Joe Ryan, looks like the real deal so far.
  10. Apparently SoxTalk needs to install a feature that tracks how much game time we take in during the season so everyone can criticize each other as fans. .....
  11. Buxton would have been on third...Sheets mishandled it. Larnach the hottest hitting Twin. XB-less string broken. Well at least Leury picked up Anderson who had no clue where that pop-up was...really having a tough time focusing for some reason.
  12. Kopech having a bit of a struggle locating that slider but seemingly settling down here. Twins at almost three games now with only sixteen singles to show for it.
  13. Zack Collins with 8 hits and a 0.4 fWAR. That said, McGuire's defensive ability is refreshing.
  14. Besides this being the fifth week of spring training essentially...teams are just not getting enough live batting practice with all the weather issues.
  15. It's not Leury's fault...except for Hahn giving him a three year deal out of the gate and bidding the deal up against himself seemingly. ..... Well, that was an easy out at second. One managerial move that worked out at least.
  16. Don't need so many full counts. Had a k but no call. At least all the White Sox errors this season on the infield?
  17. Not even Leury could've screw that up...
  18. Fortunate to clip the mound or it would have been a single up the middle.
  19. 2 1/2 games with just sixteen consecutive singles by Twins. Correa clearly swung. Not really that close.
  20. You know offense is down when Eli Captain Morgan of the Guardians has four of first five out against Yankees via the K. Otoh, he did add 25 pounds and has added velocity to go with his plus change.
  21. There aren't enough southern or Dome teams. Would have to use some minor league parks like Charlotte...which would impact the AAA and AA schedules. Playing in Mexico, Puerto Rico...would at least promote the sport but logistics and safety/security issues. Maybe Cuba or the Dominican, but those would be much more complicated. You still have the fairness issue with those teams giving up too much summer time revenue for April/May and September games.
  22. Yankees are hitting .220 and still not in bottom 10. Indians are somehow leading in runs scored. Humidors having an effect, at least in April/May.
  23. JR would sooner let Jay Mariotti or Joe Cowley run the team than force TLR out...
  24. He does realize that Minnesota has a MUCH bigger outfield to cover than GRF? Somehow...with all the historical Sox nightmares in the HHH Metrodome, it feels like we are almost begging for more with that outfield alignment.
  25. Ozzie threatened that a number of times…as well as Cora-led minicamps…in the first half of his Sox managerial career.
