  1. Gray can do it for a game or two....but not on a regular basis. He played some there this spring. I mean, if they played that Boston corner guy at SS, Gray would do just as well.
  2. Isn't Slayton a cornerback? Slater? Well, because Capra's so-called "best/ideal" position is SS, and Meidroth can seemingly play both interchangeably.
  3. Baldwin is the obvious one, but then it gets tricky. Gray and Julks have been two of the most consistent hitters this season in CHLT, but is there much appetite for either? Maton, not really. Vaughn...no way. Colson's still 2-3 weeks of getting his OPS at least into the low 700-725 range before they can realistically think about promoting him. So that leaves Sosa, Baldwin and two big question marks. Would probably go with Gray, gun to your head decision. Of course, that means more 40 man roster movement and waiving someone else in all likelihood.
  4. Have to get younger in the outfield...somehow. That said, Palacios is already 29 so it's not like he has much area for improvement as he's still hitting well under his career MLB ops numbers coming into this season with the Pirates.
  5. 7-28 in away games 11-23 against teams over .500 4-16 in one run games 6-17 vs. the AL Central
  6. Terrible. Lipman probably will update it after the game. Something like 4 or 5 and 15.
  7. Incredible game by Vargas. Back up to .755 OPS.
  8. Teel the only one left...that wouldn't be a great experience for a rookie, facing Hader from the LH side. Still, he could accidentally run into a homer, Tauchman tagged him.
  9. Pretty much have to trade Tauchman if they can get ANYTHING decent for him in return...
  10. 98.9 velocity down a notch or two from his debut...that's going to be a key in his "bounceback-ability"
  11. Getz for 2025 AL Executive of the Year. Tray will probably have tempered his enthusiasm for the Sox again, except for recalling Baldwin from CHLT.
  12. Back to a boring/bad team with very little offense (outside of Vargas and Quero) tonight
  13. Great plate coverage taking practice swings before the actual pitch is thrown. Meidroth is going to have to start driving more balls to the gaps unless he wants the corner outfielders to keep crowding him...that's ONE way to do it, two tough luck outs tonight for Chase.
  14. No way in hell JR will commit to another $20 million (or $18 million since the buyout would be $2 million)....not even 100% sure if Ishbia would.
  15. That looks to be the end of the Elko Experiment for now... Have to bring Baldwin back up while he's this hot. Quero at 276/672....his line is starting to look a lot like Meidroth's minus the walks
  16. 105.9 EV....that would have gone out in a lot of outdoor stadiums during the summer.
  17. Crazy that only Scherzer has tied the 20 K record of Kerry Wood in the last 27 years...but this high velo age isn't conducive to pitch counts in the 120's and 130's for a single game. More likely going to be a softer tossing pitcher or knuckleballer or something zany like that in the future.
  18. Single game strikeout record in danger...
  19. Call Ghostbusters!!!
  20. Rockies need to go 28-66 to tie the White Sox record. 2024 Chicago White Sox at this point, 17-51 2025 Rockies, 13-55 White Sox finished 24-70 last season.
  21. Single Carson Williams singles on a line drive to left fielder Dru Baker. Dominic Keegan to 2nd. Williams on 1st Field Error Dominic Keegan reaches on a throwing error by shortstop Colson Montgomery. Pitching Substitution Pitching Change: Justin Anderson replaces Caleb Freeman. Still trying to prove Justin Anderson is a closer...Knights lose 2-1.
  22. Slider down and in versus down and away is something new for Robert...but you think he'd accidentally run into one against a LHP.
  23. Palacios, you went. But you can stay in the line-up permanent for your emotions/leadership.
  24. Astros broadcast refers to the "Golden Era" of Astros baseball...now into its second decade. Wonder if a White Sox broadcast will ever be able to do the same? 1951-1967 or 2000-2012 or 1990-94, lol.
