The next storyline will be that Castillo doesn't embrace coming in as a bulk reliever.

Veteran/guaranteed big contract Stuck with him

Sharks blood water That's not a good mix

First place for one more day lol. Needed that NPB milb 140-142 game schedule.

Schultz didn't take a step back?? 93.6-94.1 won't work for Castillo

not quite yet but then we blow newcomb for Sunday probably as well 29 pitches

for what alignment? if you move Kolson to third and Vargas to first, you have to use Meidroth at SS or Acuna ... and Antonacci at second Antonacci struggles with lefties too

His WAR is right around the 2 mark, which is basically right around $8.0-8.5 million/1 war par FA value.

Sure but leaving the biggest breakthrough mlb success story of the season with just two weeks to go? Yes, the minor leagues and amateur scouting stuff has slowed down heading into the AFL, but the timing is quite strange. More to come SURELY.

Wasn't the story that JR overruled him? Or Getz overruled all his scouts and has now won the organizational power struggle...at least temporarily. The farm system has been pretty dead the last two months, but it's not like recent prep picks such as Thome and Prosek have caused this... Ofc, the four main pitching prospects coming into 2025 all struggled. An organization thatA seemingly loaded up in the draft still finds itself in the middle of the team rankings rather than 8-10 despite two Top 30 talents in Bonemer and Roch.

Toronto up 5-0 would be 2 GB 2 loss column

Hudson they have under control. We shall see...relievers not named Hader or Mason Miller are unpredictable. Which is why some teams still go against the grain and pay up for that certainty at the back end of games.

Vargas Peters Hudson/Newcomb Crochet trade TBD Bonemer where he was drafted Picking up Mead and then Boston Smith, but both long gone

Even Autumn Dreamin has been thrown off by Mune's slump and inevitable benching...

Well, Bonemer could end up at a corner OF spot after taking on CF now and AFL and a 100% Cholowsky takes SS quite easily/naturally… Not sure these are controversial opinions.

If it was truly terrible we should be hearing about it by now

thankfully Rangers have lost three in a row

If you have early massive cojones, you bet big against the spread on Castillo/Sox tmrw... And hope those guys who had $$$ on the AL Central title have cashed out early with a decent payout

seems they have given up unfortunately two more weeks no escape from the final Sunday plane ride back home

18 more in 15 games to tie Dunn Mason Adams looming

It might feel that way after Castillo tmrw...he actually had great career numbers vs. the Pirates "Luis Castillo has a career record of 6-8 with an ERA of 4.34 and has recorded 108 strikeouts in 20 appearances against the St. Louis Cardinals."
