  1. 3-20 3-20 3-20 Current pace=21-141 Can't even really call it a heartbreaker, maybe for Grifol's tenure as manager.
  2. Kiriloff going to get 5 K's on the night?
  3. Sox don't have the money in the coffers to cover it all at one time...JR will let it fester for 3 more years as a rationale for not signing "big contracts".
  4. The crazy thing is that the guy did win a Gold Glove, pretty sure it was as recently as 2019.
  5. Might not have to the way that this inning is going...
  6. If Kopech had given up that bomb instead...Grifol would also have gotten blamed, but it's whatever at this point.
  7. Shades of Torii Hunter, lol. Blanco Lew Ford Hocking Jacque Jones Aaron Hicks etc.
  8. WOW. We've seen this show before. Although last time pretty sure it was a walk off...? Second deck to LF?
  9. Wilson getting a closing opportunity...Kopech gets a misleading "hold"
  10. Are you figuring in all the supplemental payments?
  11. DUE UP: Buxton/Castro/Santana/Farmer/Vasquez OR PH Jeffers Margot Martin Miranda on bench
  12. So the whole point of Kopech's usage is to now prove he's a multi-inning reliever? Instead of sharing opportunities with Wilson?
  13. Vaughn Benintendi Maldonado vying for least favorite player...
  14. Wilson? Why did they waste him last night?
  15. When Robbie Grossman is a defensive replacement for Sheets... Ofc he doesn't get the job done.
  16. Maldonado could have stopped it? Of course...knew it wasn't going to be easy.
  17. Buxton is always a pain in the ass for the Sox...not quite Naylor-esque or even Salvy, but close. Wow, just noticed Guardians 17-6 with a sub $100 million payroll...
  18. That would make for some more embarrassing news when the MVP of the game is incapacitated...
  19. Looks like Jimenez hasn't been pulled at least.
  20. Twins aren't the same without Lewis and Correa in that lineup...
  21. Yay, trade value, I guess...after Crochet arguably the second best remaining asset (not counting Robert, obviously). Wilson would have to be up there as well, perhaps Kopech 4th for those "XYZ pitching guru can fix him" teams like the Braves or Brewers.
  22. Fine, he should honestly never play any OF position...period. See his defensive numbers for mostly LF play. He's worse than Pollock and arguably worse than Vaughn/Sheets. He's strictly a DH at this point in his career. He made me pine for Jurickson Profar in LF. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/tommy-pham/2967/stats?position=OF
  23. Pham should NEVER play CF.
  24. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/caitlin-clark-sign-28-million-212155232.html $28 million, 8 year deal with Nike about to be signed...blows the Ice Cube 3 on 3 baller league $5 million offer out of the water. Joins Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and Ellena Delle Donne as the only WNBA players (obviously, all four are white, in a majority African-American sports league) to get own signature/exclusive shoe deals. Per the Wall Street Journal, Clark was in high demand by sportswear giants. Under Armour and Adidas talked about a contract with the NCAA's all-time leading scorer — with Clark very involved in the discussions — but ultimately their offers fell short. Under Armour had reportedly offered Clark $16 million over four years, while Adidas proposed $6 million over four years. Puma was also briefly involved but dropped out after learning Clark was seeking at least $3 million per year in any deal. Nike's original offer to Clark was reportedly worth $3.5 million a year and did not include a signature shoe. It instead pitched Clark to become the female face of the Kobe Bryant line, which relaunched last summer. Eventually Nike added a signature shoe as part of an updated proposal. https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/caitlin-clark-sign-28-million-212155232.html
