  1. He claimed to have been slimed, lol. Good alliteration. Slimed and slandered just about fits the 1/8th mark of this particular season.
  2. White Sox so boring even umpires losing track of pitches/balls/strikes.
  3. You would think Izuhara could have figured that one out before he was down $45 million or whatever crazy number it was...or you were trying to write his first name instead of "I've" lol?
  4. And the Padres. And the Blue Jays.
  5. On his second contract now with them...that's how long ago it was. Feels like a decade.
  6. He just doubled in AAA, lol. Shuster 1 run in 4 IP and decreased his ERA to 9.00, so there's that. Montgomery at .221...on the bench.
  7. The Kansas City Royals are no stranger to games where they do not score a run. Last season, the Royals were one of three MLB teams that were shut out in three straight games (also the Cardinals and Marlins), and back in 2017 they were only the 14th team in MLB history to be shutout in four straight games, tying a record.
  8. The White Sox will be the third...if they don't score more than 1 run tonight.
  9. Soroka almost made it to 80 pitches through 4.
  10. Phillies' announcers speculating White Sox won't score a run the entire series...were wondering when was the last time that happened.
  11. Two teams in the live ball era have scored 40 runs or fewer in their first twenty games... That goes back to the 1920s. 2004 Expos 36 runs Brad Wilkerson the best player, 67-95, 32 homers and less than 70 RBIs. Last year in Montreal...even played some games in Puerto Rico. 1966 A's 38
  12. And he makes himself available to talk.
  13. Good call, Stone. Eaten alive.
  14. Family member? Who the heck is this guy?

  16. Not giving up on ILoy hitting second. Stubborn. And Benintendi in a run driving in position.
  17. At least the Marlins beat the Cubs. 5-16 now. Even if Sox win and Miami loses...Sox would be percentage points "ahead" for worst record in the majors still.
  18. It's difficult to imagine if you took ANY random Fangraphs reader and told them that their offseason assignment was to deliberately destroy the Sox fanbase...how they could do much better (or "worse") than the combination of Getz and Grifol have so far. The primary condition would be STILL maintaining a Top 15 payroll, while simultaneously attempting to be one of the very worst teams in history. Btw, with the Pham signing...the White Sox have now passed the Twins for the highest payroll in the AL Central, at almost $135 million, according to Cot's Baseball Contracts.
  19. The one comment that made me laugh was about the “toolsy” first rounder from last June…which I guess was supposed to be taken as tongue in cheek. And the free agency class’ reasons for 2024-25 optimism could have been written by none other than an intern at Boras Corp. It will be quite interesting to see how the Sox can creatively avoid spending $100+ million on a single contract (yet) again.
  20. See 2020 White Sox vs. AL Central
  21. I sense an ice cream theme. At least Nationwide is still on our side, so there’s that…I guess.
