  1. Guardians without Ramirez and down 3 starters... not even better than Detroit. In fact they're already behind DET even with Jose.
  2. Robert scores from first on a single yet Moncada ends up at first somehow...I guess he was on the move at least. Catcher's interference leads directly to that run.
  3. They would be insane to trade Robert unless it's the same package SD gave up for Soto... Wood (8), Gore and a former Top 5 in CJ Abrams and another Top 50 in Hassell.
  4. 679 OPS for Benintendi with a 2/3 night lol. Blazing speed as well.
  5. Grandal should have been on second there and already scored... stationary team. Hard to get three hits against Bieber in one inning to score.
  6. Grandal one of the worst signings the White Sox have ever made according to CLE broadcast.
  7. Guardians' announcers blaming lack of pitch clock adjustments for Lynn's struggles. One of their top prospects in Roccio up but they can't figure out where to play him and Arias together. No play lol? Has to be an error on Grandal... Tom Hamilton is incredulous. Says it looks like the first time he has ever gone after a pop up in his catching career lol.
  8. Sounds a lot like Brian Anderson... who better to serve as a surrogate White Sox scout and an 8-38 Northwestern baseball recruiter?
  9. Need to have Naylor out, too. Not sure if #GoodGuysWhereBlack works over Wear... but hey, why the heck not? Albero turning into the new Leury... but at least he's hitting for now. Just hope he doesn't get someone else hurt again on the infield.
  10. Not even sure they could succeed with Cleveland and other teams' recent draft approaches of taking ALL or nearly all pitchers in the draft.
  11. That's almost like the Twins pitching coach leaving for LSU... but everyone seems to be joining that NIL superteam. Nobody wants to deal with Chicago weather or taxes these days. At any rate, that's why I left him and Rogers out. Phil is retired now or still a part timer for BA and other regional publications that will run his stuff?
  12. They badly need to do a South Park/Team America World Police collaboration with the White Sox... Imagine all the potential drone injuries that could bring Moncada Robert Eloy and Grandal into the script. Then Lance Lynn could end up eating one of the drones...not to mention cartoon Benetti and Stone doing Nationwide, Sox math, concessions promos, weird Sox fans dialing in from mom's basement, etc. Cartoon Berto would be priceless. Could do the roundtable discussion in Chicago/Swerski accents about sorry state of Chicago sports franchises, etc. Chonk the Chubby River Turtle. Endless set of characters. Ozzie. Nick Swisher's blow up doll. AI ChatGPT5 Hahn. Duel to the death/Battle Royale between Chipper Connor McKnight, Our Chuck Garfein, Ranger Rongey, Dan Hayes, Len Kasper, Bruce Levine, Joe Cowley, Jay Mariotti and Nicky Two Strikes Madrigal. Phil Rogers and Mark Gonzales sitting it out.
  13. Was talking more about Hahn or Boyer's kids ending up with Northwestern scholarships. Don't doubt Thome's kid will make an impact. Quality human being and diligent, disciplined worker. Just chuckling more about KW and Ozzie's kids and Tatis' brother/s...at least Alek Thomas hasn't destroyed the baseball world yet.
  14. His time for being the identity of the White Sox with Abreu gone won't be much of a tenure. The sad part is Sale Anderson and Abreu were the most notable scouting achievements of the last decade plus. Not to mention Anderson's connections to the ACE program, Little League WS, RBI, summer camps, youth outreach...seems like everything is falling apart simultaneously. Now, it is essentially down to Robert and Burger.
  15. After watching this since Jeff Keppinger... I don't think anyone will be fooled by that last sentencesentence any longer. Of course, he will remind everyone about McCann Rodon and finally Cueto and Andrus last year... pretty much his lone bargain basement successes. Or how Santos Middleton Kelly Crochet and Hendriks will turn all those blown leads and close late games into victories all of a sudden. Graveman, too. And that Eloy will be back soon, etc. Biggest fear now is rushing both Hendriks and Crochet back so quickly and one or both getting hurt again. There shouldn't be any rush based on the 2023 standings to really push either guy. We got away with doing it to Sale his draft year... but Burdi and Crochet, not so much.
  16. You just know Thome could be the Sox manager today if he had even the remotest amount of interest…
  17. Still can’t believe it’s just May and Sox, Royals and A’s are already the three eliminated MLB teams for all intents and purposes. Starting to feel almost surreal. If not yet willing to surrender…this week should really put the nail in the coffin. Only 120 games remaining.
  18. Since when has Brooks Boyer been "chief revenue officer," by the way?
  19. https://www.mlb.com/whitesox/news/former-white-sox-player-brian-anderson-on-coaching Somehow this seems just about right in 2023...(yet another disappointing Sox first rounder) Brian Anderson at 8-38 Northwestern scouting the kids of Hahn and Boyer (and others, theoretically) while the GM of the 14-28 White Sox looks on and dodges any meetings with the media. Only Jim Thome in this story seems to have discovered the perfect place in his life... has found the balance that Ventura's was turned upside down for when he never wanted to manage the Sox in the first place. Nepotism? Nah. It's all just a coincidence. Btw, where is Landon Thome in current national scouting rankings? Really feels more and more like the Sox leadership triumvirate is as insulated as the current military junta/dictatorship in Thailand. Voters/Sox fans can vote literally or figuratively (not attending games and expressing discontent, sponsors decline incredible "opportunities") while possessing massive majorities advocating for reform and a modernized analtyical approach, but nothing EVER really changes to the actual power structure itself.
  20. Trying to demonstrate how challenging it currently is to motivate Sox fans... at least the Royals have Witt Jr., Pasquantino and Sal Perez that their fans can cheer and get firmly behind.
  21. Seems more like a case of everyone associated with the White Sox being nails and those outside the organization playing the roll of hammers...
  22. On the White Sox roster or across their entire minor league system, if you could choose anyone after Robert and Burger? Debate/discuss.
  23. “We started joking around in the cage one day, ‘They’re going to start selling jerseys that are split down the middle with half Sheets, half Burger on it,’” Burger said. “We thought ‘Shurger’ works, so that’s the name we’re running with. It made it seem like an actual last name that people would see and think ‘That could fly.’” “We considered some split T-shirts, but it’s just us embracing our roles and knowing what we’re going to do and doing it to the best of our ability,” Sheets said. “We don’t even think about competing against each other. It’s about buying in. We root for each other really hard. Especially in that situation where consider ourselves one person.” https://theathletic.com/4417940/2023/04/18/white-sox-gavin-sheets-jake-burger/ Have a feeling that Burger will stick around a long time...and Sheets until they can find an even younger/cheaper player who kills righties and can actually play solid defense at multiple positions around the field. Burger's the most emblematic of that blue collar/diligent worker style that used to define the SouthSide... like a Herb Milkman Perry or Joe Crede.
  24. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/oakland-as-reach-agreement-to-develop-tropicana-site-for-30000-seat-las-vegas-stadium-194403496.html Former Tropicana site... around 30,000 seat stadium $1.5 billion price tag, looking for $400 million in public funds
