Tip Toe is probably a tougher watch than Adolesence...very well acted by Alan Cumming and Morrissey.

Before the ending, Cubs hadn't lost a game with an 8 or more hit advantage since 1979 against the We Are Family Pirates, WS winners that year with Parker/Stargell.

SAN DIEGO — San Diego Padres minor-league catching coordinator Oswaldo José Pirela was detained by immigration authorities in El Paso, Texas, and remained in custody, according to family and ICE detainee records. His sister Daniela Pirela said in a phone interview that her brother, who was raised in Venezuela, was detained at El Paso International Airport at around 5 a.m. Sunday while traveling for work, which she said he does weekly for the Padres. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainee records showed Pirela in custody late Monday. In a statement early Tuesday, the Padres said that they'd recently learned of Pirelas' detainment. "We are working to gather additional information and will not have any further comment at this time," the team said. ICE and Major League Baseball did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News.

Except Doyle does have that equalizing arm in CF.

https://nypost.com/2026/08/17/sports/diamondbacks-ketel-marte-moved-to-restricted-list-after-no-showing-game/ At least Vargas didn't go AWOL so many character issues with this guy...right in the heat of the pennant race, of course "While he couldn't divulge the exact reason why Marte was unavailable to play, Lovullo sent a message of love and care to him and wanted everyone to know that he is alright. "No, not really. I love him, and I care for him. He'll be okay. He is fine. I want you guys to know that I just care about him. So does everybody in that room." Considering Lovullo was tight-lipped about Marte's absence, one has to imagine that the second baseman was dealing with a private matter. It's clear that whatever the situation is for Marte, it has impacted the rest of his team very heavily, even leaving Lovullo in tears."

Hard to not get into a hitting rhythm all season and just pick it right back up. Mune hasn't been 100% the same as pre injury form and that was six weeks instead of months.

Sox have higher OPS against LHP by like just .07 - .08 points. Pretty similar. Guess it depends if you want to see more Acuna or Colson.

Or the Red Sox

Then we should just bring back Carson Fulmer!

The Red Sox have traded about 8-10 pitchers in the last twelve months and are still hanging in there in one of the toughest divisions. And that's with Bello flopping too. All Star caliber position players are so much more valuable...especially prearbitration. (Except to AJ Preller, at least.)

See Jon Rauch.

TLR is the only one that comes immediately to mind...thinking he's smarter than everyone else, for some reason. All those playoff appearances, one supposes. Maybe Lou Piniella or Msddon.

Do you really think JR will spend generously in FA if they make the post season? Well, some will undoubtedly point to those bloated 2021-23 payrolls with lots of relieved but no stars. Maybe Sox fans would be content with another 1983/1993/2000/2008/2020-21, not that sure about Guardians and Tigers fans, though.

The Cubs are not equal to just another NL team in the eyes of most Chicagoans. 25% would trade a one-sided first round playoff loss for sweeping the Cubs at Wrigley.

But so does Hudson...who is much more effective with a 92-94 mph fastball.

After all, he supposedly won't sign an extension...probably replaces Bregman if it's not Matt Shaw.

Might as well have been Darian HAGAN pitching to PCA...

TLR would have walked PCA even. Or gone to two strikes and then intentionally walked him. Better bring back that blonde girl to heckle him from the beachers lol. Except nobody will be able to hear her except for pre game.
