are there any good lefties available???...now that parque signed with tampa
-
any pitcher that can log 200 innings year after year is not crappy...suppan's number will improve wherever he goes because he had maybe the worst bullpen in bseball backing him up...plus when was the last time a team only used 5 starters all year???...even if we sign suppan or anyone for the 5th spot..rauch will get some starts and can work some middle relief...if we dont sign another starter who is gonna fill in when needed or if some one goes down with injury??...gary glover???...ugh or rauch can just start the year in charlotte...he is still coming back from major shoulder surgery..that takes a good 2 years anyways
-
lefty gary majewski???...he pitched in that san fran exibition game last year and i could have sworn he was a righty
-
well..if that happens atleast we only get to watch him get picked off 1st base 3 times a week instead of that and watching him misplay routine fly balls on a daily basis... for those of you who think im a little pessimistic....see..i can see when the cup is half full

buehrle crossed the fuhrer last year whe he rejected his offer...KW then renewed his contract at 15k less thn buehrle made the year before to teach the boy a lesson...buehrle got on KW's s***list and we all know what happens when you do that...i beginning to believe the colon deal was made with the thoughts of signing him to a long term deal then moving buehrle...maybe as soon as july of this year if the sox are out of it like the last 2 years... KW doesnt forgive or forget... a fair contract to buehrle imo would be 3 years at 18 million...5 million this year , 6 next , the 7 the final year....think he would accept that if KW wasnt such a dick???...

if we sign jose cruz id rather he become carlos "the lawn ornament in left field" lee's replacement...play the better defensive player between jose and rowand/borchard in CF and the other in LF...trade carlos off for help in another area..starting pitcher perhaps

JHC... a sportswriter that actually took the time to study a subject he was assigned too!!!..im in freakin shock...whether you agree with his analysis of our players or not...he had every player in the right spot..the right people competing for the right jobs and even got it right with who the sleeper picks are...he didnt miss on one player... i like his comments about crede...he sees himas a potential all star this year..perhaps this year's shea hillabrand???

jeff suppan is still out there...thats the guy KW should really be after...200 plus innings each of the past 4 seasons...the final piece

Does the same thing hold true for drunks? Will me, you, and Guido ever go to a Sox game and stay dry for all 9 innings? all 9 innings???...you guys are usually in the tank before the sox pre game meal
-
im sure there are others out there that are just as qualified as rose to teach our players the fundementals that arnt banned from baseball... for the record...they couldnt put rose in the hall as just a player...either all of him or none of him can go in according to hall rules as they stand...
-
i really put my foot in my mouth about the cruz and comp pick if we sign him i agree that we need to sign him and the cost would will be anything for a 20 hr a yr guy who can learn to hit. if we sign cruz jr then just ship the lawn ornament in lf the hell out of here and let cruz play center and rowand/borchard in left

Can you tell me why Wells ruined team chemistry? So he called out Frank Thomas and they had an argument....they then talked and made up, and Wells continued to pitch, while Thomas underwent surgery. Wells than helped Mark Buehrle mature as a pitcher....without David Wells, we would be a s***ty team today...we wouldn't have had to have gone through the Ritchie fiasco, but we sure as hell wouldn't have Colon. I'd say the Wells trade was positive in more than one way...the only way it was negative was the fact that it was an embarrassment for the White Sox AT THE TIME, being shouldergate and all....in the end, it was a very good move for what it did as a whole....just MHO anyways. i know buehrle gave some credit to wells in heloing his development...but i was in the sports bar in RF the night espn did a post game show from there and buehrle was the guest (thank you sean lowe for the tickets:))...buehrle said he really settled into his role the day nardi called a meeting with all the young pitchers and said that from now on all you guys do is get the sign from sandy or mark and throw it where they stick the mitt...quit shaking these guys off... so wells might get some credit but sandy (and nardi - gulp) probably deserve more credit..

I haven't heard anything about a corked bat, can you fill me in? in the AA all star game in ' 01 , olivo's bat shattered and cork went flying everywhere..thus the nickname "corky" was born... corky olivo sound pretty cool:) its not that we who liked bradford didnt or dont like olivo...its just that in '01 we were supposedly in a win now mode and our bullpen went to s***...regaurdless of the optimism, our bullpen is shaky at best right now..we could use a chad bradford...though we can use a catcher too...i wonder if we didnt have olivo would we be seriously pursuing IROD???

Once a whinner always a whinner. I'm sure you'll hear Parque b****ing in tampa also. yeah but who will be around to hear him???

by 2005 alot of those guys will be traded away and other prospects will have replaced them...how many prospects from '00 are still in the system??? If I could do a little research on that, I could give you an answer. Of course, if anyone did a little research on that, anyone could give you an answer! it would have to be somebody with a subsription to BA...i dodnt know any other source that archives their minor league stuff that far back

Your expectations of RR aren't too high. LOL! From what I've heard, he's the real deal when it comes to closing games. I questioned KW acquiring Koch for three years..... I don't think it is going to take RR 3 years to dominate in the minors considering he is being groomed as a closer. If Koch does as advertised, RR will have no choice but to be set-up man for awhile. Then, what do we do with Marte? thats why i dont think we will sign koch long term...i belive if this season is a flop(knock on wood) koch will be the first one to go at the trade deadline..if we suck it up this year no way we go to arbitration with koch...by next year he could be looking at 8 mil in arbitration well i guess i am the minority here b/c i am not too sold on ring being the pitcher everybody raves about. im not either...but KW is and thats all it wil ltake to run billy koch out of townm at the first sign of trouble...its how KW has operated the past 2 years...at the trade deadline...dump dump dump away

I don't think we are giving KW enough credit
baggio202 replied to witesoxfan's topic in Pale Hose Talk
the performance as you said is not kw fault, however when you are responsible for acquiring players whose performance does not equal the performance level of the person you are trading, then its kw fault for lack of judgement or ability to perform his job. to back up what LDF said...if we didnt hold a GM responsible for the play of the players he traded for..then hawk harrelson would still be our GM
