Animal Crossing owns. Port Grand Theft Auto to Nintendo and I'm sold.

I want him batted 3rd for awhile. I think he really wants to try it. He may sound greedy but he did not come over to America to move the runner over. He came to move the runner to home.

How has the Sox recent slide
Wise Master Buehrle replied to Jordan4life_2007's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I'm just like you are except, Krush, after a horrible loss I feel better if I go out and do something mind altering. I hate sitting at home reading all the depressing stuff on all the message boards (cause its what I do!) or I play a video game where you kill cyber people and usually that helps especially if I'm doing well in a particular game. A couple weeks ago I would get really bent out of shape over a loss but right now I'm cooled and taking it in stride. This may go against the rules of being a diehard, but if they play s***ty I just don't watch the game. It really helps! If I don't watch the game, but I see they lose, I don't care that much. That's because there aren't particular innings or pitches or at bats in my memory to dwell on. Seriously, if they're sucking a storm, take a f***in break for a couple days. You will be a generally happier person. But all of you that feel this, welcome to life of a diehard. -

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 09:16 PM) Playoff tickets go on sale tomorrow, right? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Right before that inning I was planning on purchasing some.

We're at a measly 40k. Nice to see people appreciate the fact that there are 3 independant Sox boards. Some teams not named the Boston Red Sox can't claim that.

QUOTE(WSFAN35 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 11:57 AM) I'd like to see KW go after Todd Helton. You can say he makes too much, but Colorado will be willing to pay a healthy portion of his salary to get him off of their books. He'll probably end up costing less than hanging onto PK, and if I have to choose between Helton and PK, I go with Helton. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ^^^ Need the big bat. Helton would be ideal. -
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 11, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) The time to make trades has come and gone. We are who we are now until the end of the season. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I mean in the offseason.

Is anyone considering trading one of Buehrle, Garland, or Garcia + a good bullpen arm + minor leaguer(s) for a huge bat, like a seriously threatening bat? I love our pitching and all... but we need a big bat so bad it's not even funny.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Sep 7, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) This has had a great response so far. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 700 is great. We've had massive slowdown lately and I'm pretty sure we've gotten all the signatures we can save a couple hundred or so that will slowly leak in. 1,000 was the goal, but 700 is fantastic. Brooks emailed me again and said he would mention this to John Rooney. LONG LIVE BROOKS! -

I recieved in email from Brooks on the subject of John, thought I'd share it with you all: David, Thanks for your note. It is disappointing that John will not be on our broadcasts after this season. He is a fantastic broadcaster and I will personally miss the "and that's a White Sox winner" call. I think (and this is my opinion only) that during the negotiation process with WSCR, John really thought about what he wanted to do. He is a very talented broadcaster that has a wide range of talents (he has done basketball and baseball play by play as well as hosted call in shows) and I think he wants to explore the next steps in his career. It is a big broadcasting world out there and there may be other TV and radio opportunities that may interest him. I know he loves the White Sox organization, and I cannot blame him for wanting to grow. I personally wish him well. There is no animosity, rather a great mutual respect between John and the entire White Sox organization. John will move on and pursue his broadcasting passion. We will work diligently with WSCR to bring the best radio broadcast possible for our fans next season. Knowing John, I know he will appreciate your efforts and the kind words that will be shared at the website. All the best and thanks for being a fan of the White Sox, Brooks -
QUOTE(smalls2598 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 03:13 PM) I had the Belkin transmitter and the Griffen iTrip, and I thought they both sucked. I could never find a good channel. I also couldnt stand trying to listen to digital music with radio reception. To solve my problem, I just bought a Monster iCable and connected it to the back of my Pioneer radio, and viola...great sound. It only cost about $30 from Best Buy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You mean you plugged it into the back of your head unit where there are two RCA jacks? That would make no sense though, as those are for output...

Hey guys I got another idea. We should get as many people as possible to email Hawk and DJ the next couple of games to try and pimp the petition. I've been emailing it, and I've got wite, CS1, and 56789 emailing him tomorrow too. We need your help! -

Hey guys, instead of signing in this thread, sign the petition at www.savejohnrooney.tk -
QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 04:47 PM) It sounds like you have the Belkin transmitter that goes into the dock connector like me, and that's how it's supposed to work. You're bypassing the ear bud volume control as well as, I believe, any EQ settings that are not attached to individual song files. Instead all volume and EQ functions are determined by your car's audio system. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ya, I got it off of my buddy for free. Wwent and checked out the price at best Buy... 70 bucks. That's crazy.

Funny, the iPod volume doesn't affect anything at all for my FM transmittor. I plug it into the bottom thing (where the USB dealie goes) and have to use the volume in my car. I could turn the iPod all the way down and it wouldn't make a difference.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) I hear people say they get crappy reception. Not so for you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not at all. Occasionally I'll hear a bit of engine noise in the background, but honestly it works great. If you're into the whole bumping thing, it does great for that and that's as good a test as any I suppose.

I love my mini iPod. I got the FM transmittor for it so I can listen to it in the car.

QUOTE(aboz56 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 10:35 AM) That's awesome, hopefully someone lets Roons know we truly care this much about him staying with the Sox. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I should have included in the statement on it that "The other purpose for this petition is to just plain let you know how much we appreciate how awesome you were for us these years." I'm a dunce. I want John to get this petition somehow, and I think my best bet would be giving it to Brooks and then asking Brooks if he can forward it to John. Maybe I'll copy the html and get rid of G-man's mean comments as well by just making a new web page. Hey aboz, can you put the link to the petition in the first post of this thread?
