  1. Normally I would agree with you that I also would trust Russian news sources less than our own. However, the fact that our press has omitted from us these acts by Georgia raises interesting questions about our own press and their objectives! Why must I watch Russian news and read Russian blogs to hear about this? Shouldn't genocidal acts and crimes against humanity be in our press and condemned by our press? I'm hard-pressed to disbelieve the reports that Georgia had committed genocidal acts, especially after seeing that YouTube video that I posted with an American vacationer describing what was going on in South Ossetia. Bush should be condemning Georgia for their acts as well, not just Russia for their invasion. However, since Georgia has become bedfellows with the United States and attempting to get Georgia into NATO.. it raises interesting questions about our own goals. Russia claims that it is building a portfolio for their accusations. I'd like to see this portfolio if it ever becomes public, because it will bring light to this issue. If there really was genocidal acts by Georgia, the Russian portfolio should clearly prove it.
  2. It's funny that there is a 5-page thread about this here yet no one has mentioned the genocide that Georgia had committed on South Ossetia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLoBckWl-dg The propaganda that comes from our country makes me sick. Why are they making the Russians out to be the bad guys here??? The Russians are the GOOD guys! The Georgians are the bad guys! The South Ossetian population consists of mostly Russian folks.... so it's no wonder the Russians would jump to their aid! This whole story is a joke. It's twisted, convoluted, and distorted into a completely different reality. Go Russia! Punish the coward Georgian government for their crimes against humanity!!!
  3. What a bunch of losers! That crap is so annoying.. it happened over at my place last year. It's like "wow, you can hack sports fans websites... what a statement you're making to those poor stupid sports fans!"..... Good luck Jas.
  4. Vote Ron Paul. He is the only honest candidate!
  5. Excellent thread Headso.
  6. No, he probably is connecting VGA if it's coming from a laptop. I doubt the Intel line of graphics chipsets supports odd widescreen resolutions. You're probably SOL.
  7. southsider here in peace anyone else think its BS that some Islamic hacker hacked a White Sox forum??
  8. Replacing a hard drive is one of the easier things to do to your computer. Just crack open the case, pull out the old drive and put the new one in, plug in all the cables. If you have 1 hard drive, make sure your jumper is set to Master. Take your system restore CD's and take the one that mentions anything about Windows or operating systems. Put this CD into your cd rom, and reboot your computer. A dialogue should come up saying "Press any key to boot to this cd...." or something to that extent. Press any key. Then a lot of stuff will happen and it's pretty straightforward on how to install it. You'll see your C drive and you'll have options to format it, I usually just do an NTFS Quick Format, and you're in business. If you don't see that boot to cd dialogue, you gotta get into your BIOS and change the boot device order so that the CD ROM is the highest on the list. Usually to get into that when you boot your computer you'll see something like "Press F2 to enter setup". It could be F2, it could be Delete, or Esc, but whatever it is, press it and you'll get to a blue screen, which is the BIOS. Just navigate around and you'll find the boot device order thingy. Any questions just PM me or something, I work with this stuff every day so I can help you out.
  9. If you're looking for a good affordable laptop, get a Toshiba. Dell preloads your computer with tons of useless garbage, and they don't give you your operating system CD's as a standard (WHICH IT SHOULD BE!). HP and Dell both have history of using bad parts on their computers, instead of using quality parts. These parts are designed to last a long time (which is why some of you are so happy with your Dells and HPs) but they are not designed for performence. Basically they try to tell you that just because you have a Pentium M processor, your computer will be top of the line and there will be no performance issues. But the fact of the matter is that it's not just the processor that makes the machine. They may try to stick you with a measly 256 MB of RAM with your nice processor, rendering your processor basically useless. At Toshiba's website, I picked out a Satellite M60 and chose to customize it- and for $1300 you get: -Intel® Pentium® M Processor 740 (1.73GHz, 2MB L2, 533MHz) (Much better than the standard Celeron M and only $150 more) - Windows XP Home (You don't need to spend an extra $79 for Pro) - Blue color, copper and gray are $30 extra. - No Microsoft Office software ($250 more, honestly you can use WordPad and get the job done, or just download a word processor unless you need Excel or Powerpoint) - 512MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz SDRAM (512MBx1) (Trust me, this is sexy, add $100 for a gigabyte of RAM) - 17" Diagonal Widescreen XGA display (1440x900) - ATI® MOBILITY™ RADEON® X600 with 128MB DDR SDRAM (This is a good mobile graphics card made by a good manufacturer. ATI and NVidia are the only ways to go and if they try to stick you with something else, screw 'em) - 80 GB Hard Drive (I've seen Seagates in Toshibas at where I work, so if Seagates are standard you're in really good shape. Seagates are the best, in regards to durability, reliability, performance, and warranty ) - CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive (Can burn CD's, read DVD's, doubt you need to burn DVD's) - Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG (802.11b/g) (There's your wireless connectivity) - 1 Year Standard Limited Warranty That's a damn good computer for the price. Something I'd definately consider buying. You want to get as much bang for your buck as possible. Make sure whatever you buy, spend the extra money to get your operating system CD's, cause when (not if) your computer becomes fubar you can ask a local friendly computer nerd to reinstall your operating system.
  10. If you're looking to spend so much money, go with a good brand. Dell sucks. HP-Compaq sucks. Gateway sucks. Toshiba is ok. Sony is ok. You might want to check out Alienware, they are a bit pricey but neat looking, not the same regurgitated Dell cases. Alienwares are good computers too, my friend has one and I was very impressed with it.
  11. QUOTE(KipWellsFan @ Dec 1, 2005 -> 11:06 PM) Well were you cheating? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yes. But I didn't expect Google to freak out the way they did, thats what really bothered me most.
  12. If you have anti virus software than that is certainly whats causing it. If your performance stays regular, I wouldn't worry about it. Just be persistent in your virus/spyware/adware scans.
  13. Whatever you do PA, don't encourage people to click on them daily. I had a good $70 worth of clicks for a month and I got an email accusing me of using an automated process to jack up my clicks, so they deactivated my account. Google is lamer than hell, and they'll screw you.
  14. dbaho and greasy, jeez i remember those days and yes, they were fun times.
  15. QUOTE(SpringfieldFan @ Oct 25, 2005 -> 07:19 AM) I think this could be a time we could really use Brooks Boyer to organize a fan response we all could take part in. Anyone got ideas? Could he perhaps make a petition of apology available at the United Center that all could sign and have sent to Texas? When Biggio comes up, could he suggest that the fans at the UC give him a standing ovation and make sure it gets on the news here and in Houston? I don't know, I just want us all to respond in masse. I know the average true fan is not "guilty" but I just think we need to let everyone know how disgusted we are and how much we truly regret what happened. SFF <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Send that idea to Brooks ASAP. [email protected] I believe. We need a giant online petition or something saying sorry to Craig and Patty Biggio and the Astros organization.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) Plus they use the Sox logo A TON, and that could lead to issues. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Usually something like that is solved with a simple "The logos used in this bulletin board are used purely for identification purposes and do not represent ownership." And we're working on fixing the overlapping text problem.
  17. The day Pierzynski signs a long term deal is the day I buy his jersey.
  18. QUOTE(wsox08 @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 11:24 PM) I went pee in a cup and my roommate drank it.. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ok if this one is true then it takes over as best post in the thread. LOL
  19. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Oct 6, 2005 -> 10:38 PM) I'll admit it, I pooed a little. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> HAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHA BEST POST IN THIS THREAD HAHAHAHA
