QUOTE(knightni @ Mar 14, 2005 -> 11:09 AM) But, if they get past Holy Cross, it's clear sailing to DePaul/Missouri. If they can lose to Rutgers with their season on the line, I don't see how you can say it's clear sailing past anyone in the NIT.

QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 08:25 PM) was also there, i hope glenbrook burns, i hate that stupid wallace kid, kept hitting those dang threes, too bad no Izzo or Weber sightings Haha, it's spelled Wallis oddly enough. He made it all the way to state in the 3 point contest last year, he can stroke it. He didn't compete in it this year because of injury. If it's any consolation to Conant, and I think this is, you have way more hot chicks. My neck was on a turntable when in line at the concessions. -
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) I've got a different one. UNC, Kentucky, WF, Arizona. I almost had that one. I had a hard time picking between Wake and G Tech in the elite 8 and went with the Yellow Jackets. Almost picked Cuse over Kentucky.

If 'Sconsin wins SoxBadger takes it.

The refs botched a few calls down the stretch to be honest. Fortunately, for the most part they cancelled each other out until the Redick phantom call. Still, G Tech had like 4 or 5 decent looks at the basket to tie the game in the final minute. They had their chances.

I think Anderson shouldn't be labeled by his performance with Birmingham yet. He definitely struggled towards the end of his Barons' stint, but it could have been because of injury. We'll have to see how he does. I think he should start at AAA. BMac is the kind of guy that I think could live with a couple lumps at AAA because he has a great mindset. I wouldn't get too worried if his ERA is barely under 4 and his K/BB were to fall to around 4 to 1, ho hum.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 12, 2005 -> 01:25 AM) Ya I had no idea which one you were at the end of the game. And then there was a strecth where the feed cut in and out. But I thought you guys did a good job. Actually a really good job. Do you usually announce Dan? I know you've done it in the past but are you doing it for every game? I get to announce about 4 games the entire school year. That includes fall, winter, and spring sports though so I've only done 2 basketball games this year. Thanks for the compliments. Nokona- I've said it before and I'll say it again, that was an awesome game and your team deserves a ton of credit. Is Taylor playing anywhere in college? -
We need a minimum number of starts. Say 2 or 3?

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 11:20 PM) Were u the play by play dude or the special comments guru? Play by play. I was talking the most as a result of that. Did you listen? WHarris- NC was a 10 seed in their sectional and there are about 16 teams in each sectional. Thus they aren't supposed to be very good, but they must be hot now. Can't count anyone out at this point, that's why it's March Madness. -
Indiana blows. Today was proof. Any of that garbage talk of them getting in the tourney better be over. It would be a disgrace for them to make the tourney now.

QUOTE(Nokona @ Mar 11, 2005 -> 11:17 PM) GBN beat my Cougars 38-37 as the Cougars miss a layup (Matty Collins was fouled) and then the put back as time expired. Can't argue going to down with that fight. Scheyer was held to 14 pts. There was no foul. Or at least no foul that is going to be called in the last 5 seconds of a game. To be honest, I didn't see any contact, but there was a lot going on. Hell of a game. WHarris- 16 teams are left. -

What a game GBN vs. Conant. GBN led the whole first half and led by 5 at halftime. 3rd quarter GBN doesn't score in the first 4 minutes and Conant takes the lead. Back and forth the rest of the quarter, but it was still tied after 3. Conant scores the first 4 points of the 4th quarter, but immediately after that Sean Wallis hit a huge 3 to cut it to 1. Then star Jon Scheyer hit 2 free throws to give us the lead by 1. Inside 2 minutes, GBN stalls forcing Conant to foul with a minute and a half left. Scheyer rimmed out on the front end of a 1 and 1 and Conant had the ball down 1. They stalled a minute and then called TO with 29 seconds. They stall a bit more and start the possession with about 15 seconds left. One guy drives pulls a duck under move that he turned into a semi hook shot which missed. With the D collapsed on him, Conant grabbed the rebound where a guy missed a 2 ft layup from a sharp angle. He basically rushed it and just threw it too hard. It was strong and barely grazed the rim on the way down. Ball game. WOW! GO NORTH! Hell of an effort by Conant, cheers to the Conant fans here. -

If anyone wants to listen to the GBN vs. Conant game or just wants to hear my voice out of curiousity, I will be announcing the game. It is a 7:30 tip, but we will probably start a few mins before that to preview the game. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 08:50 PM) Michigan was after all within 2 They trailed most of the 2nd half. Either way, I'm still surprised everyone picked they way they did. I shouldn't be because people see Northwestern and assume they will lose.

Soxbadger picked Iowa to lose in the first round.

QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 7, 2005 -> 07:25 PM) I find it funny how everyone has taken Michigan over Northwestern. Not that it matters, but I'd almost go as far as to guarantee a win for NU. Michigan is definitely worse than the Cats. From the Prediction thread. I'd like to gloat at how much Michigan sucks.

QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 04:41 PM) Would the Friday before at 7:30 work? If not...I'll see if that time would work for others...and maybe look to see if I can switch the time slot. Anything on Friday is bad. EDIT: I just realized I'm likely to be out of town that weekend anyway. Don't mind me, but I'd still like to be in the league. -
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 04:11 PM) So where is 16-20 Jas??? I have no idea. I asked him days ago to send me his writeups. I mean how long does it take to e-mail something? It's depressing. :headshake

If the draft is at 5:30 or 6:30 as opposed to 9:30, I'm in.
