  1. Where is Lumsden going to play then?
  2. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) Names I didn't see....... Yofu? Martel? Person? Ulacia? I remember hearing Yofu got signed by some other team. I want to say the Yankees for some reason.
  3. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 1, 2005 -> 11:13 PM) Is that Pedro Lopez in AAA??? now you can see how the loss of Valdez has a ripple effect on the entire org. I don't get why this guy is thought of so highly in the org. His numbers aren't very good. I expect him to struggle in AAA, at least at first, just because he hasn't done exceptionally well at the lower levels. Plus, he barely played any AA. And what's with Young skipping W-S? So much for him being 'raw'.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) The real news is Serbia and Montenegro tying Spain 0-0 in a thriller. Kezman missed an open goal that bounced off the cross-bar. Serbia leads the Group with 11 pts, Spain in 2nd with 9, and 2 teams tied for 3rd with 7. GO SERBIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy hell that is a huge upset, but I'm sure the soccer haters are laughing at the 0-0 thriller. The thing about those games is that it's fun to watch them while they are happening, but then when it's over you realize it's 0-0 and think 'aw f*** what a rip, no goals.'
  5. QUOTE(BHAMBARONS @ Mar 31, 2005 -> 12:00 PM) That was good game yesterday, I have to admit I am not a soccer fan but I left there impressed. I missed the first half, but the 2nd half was quality soccer. Not usually something you see when the US is playing Guatemala. A lot of solid attacks for the US when they were trying to get that 2nd goal. It's fun to watch when the US plays these Central American countries and just dominates play pushing to get that goal or 2. This is true of any soccer game when one team is far superior. Soccer is a solid sport, you have to learn what is going on though otherwise it just seems monotonous.
  6. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) Oh... my... GOD! Rookie of the Year. Period. Wanna quit torturing me and tell me what the hell is going on?
  7. What's going on for those of us out of town? I have NBA Courtside Live going and it says Gordon has more points than minutes, by far. How is that possible?
  8. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 09:35 AM) I'm with you.... Says the man with the hot Canadian chick in his avatar and signature.
  9. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 11:10 PM) You mean Golf..where they hit a little ball into a little hole a few hundred yards away? f*** NO!!!!
  10. Back to the original poll: The Bulls have 13 games left. Let's say best case scenario they go 10-3, that means the Pistons have to finish 5-7. Keep dreaming, we aren't winning the division.
  11. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 05:58 PM) I guess they forgot to do their homework. Dwight was interested in UNC, not Duke. He is actually going to take summer classes at UNC and try to get his degree. He can practice with the team I believe, not sure on the rules on that. Yeah, SI has him going to UNC in their fantasy bracket. Link
  12. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Mar 29, 2005 -> 05:27 PM) That may just force an upward movement, taking Pedro Lopez up to Charlotte. No Kelly Dransfeldt or similar player this year for the Sox? I don't see why the Sox wouldn't just sign an organizational guy, Lopez doesn't belong in AAA yet.
  13. QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 02:43 PM) We doing the minor leaguer draft still? No, Jason is our commish so nothing will get done.
  14. Woo hometown boy that went to my high school! I'm sold!
  15. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 27, 2005 -> 11:45 AM) Does anyone know if Reed is even supposed to start right away? Last I heard he was supposed to start.
  16. The teams trade blows with more sick 3 point shooting from both sides. WV is holding on, less than 15 minutes to go, they lead by 12.
  17. At least this game is something to watch instead of the anticipated blowout. Go underdog!
  18. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 26, 2005 -> 12:15 PM) I'm excited for this one, first time I'll be able to see Bmac actually pitch. Every other time he'd be taken out right when I'd get home from school I hear that. Watch college bball will distract me and I will forget to watch.
  19. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 25, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) And this is a "down year" for the Big Ten. I can't imagine what we would be doing if this was a good year. I know this is what it had been labeled as by the media, and I agreed for much of the year. Then I realized that last year was the down year and this year has been a recovery year. A lot of the teams in the conference had to have players step up after losing talent (Iowa-Pierce, Wisky-Harris) or were young teams that lost little talent last year (Illinois, Michigan d'oh). Next year should be even better.
  20. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 11:30 PM) This begs the question: They have proms down under? I guess you guys couldn't take your dates to Outback afterwards huh? Simply not the same. Nah, they're all about Lone Star Steakhouse down under.
  21. QUOTE(T R U @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 05:53 PM) because its going to heavily favor Illinois, which DOES have an effect.. believe it or not.. I'm just saying it's a disproportionate amount of time spent on a tertiary aspect of the game. Talk about the players and the teams more than the fans. All I keep hearing is the fans.
  22. The one thing that boggles my mind about the media coverage of this game is that they keep focusing on the crowd. To be honest, it probably won't come into play. The neutral fans will do this, the Illinois fans are large in number, yada yada. Who cares? The players win the games, and all I keep hearing about is who the fans will be cheering for.
  23. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 04:30 PM) update please, the good the bad and the ugly? Juan Ovalles blows. Dwayne Pollok (who I still can't get over the fact that he is white with the name Dwayne) ended the inning for him. 11-3 Giants.
  24. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Mar 24, 2005 -> 04:19 PM) Juan Ovalles Haha, I win.
  25. Apparently he blows, big time. Ovalles' s***ty career stats
