hi8is

Funny to see his name pop up. He gave me a bat he cracked once before a game at the cell circa 2011 or 2012. Forget which year it was exactly. Love that kid.

Oh, wow... that’s really bad then. I thought he was controlled until after 2022 and would be a flip piece. Awful trade for the Cubs right now... they must be banking on one of the younger lottery tickets becoming the next He Who Shall Not Be Named.

Yea they’ve gotta plan on sending him off too.

Zach Davies is a nice get for a couple years.

Man, can’t believe the Padres. Would love to be a fan of their team but I’m also happy about our squad.

You say hyperbole, I say hyper-bowl-lee.

I loved it as well. Didn’t care for the audio mix, which made it hard to hear the dialogue for me... even turned on subtitles. But yea, been a fan since memento was out in theaters... and while Tenet got bad reviews, I really loved it.

Wow, didn’t expect to see this when all I came for was the hyper bowl leeh talk.

I do not deserve this honor. Welcome to Soxtalk.

You’re a very descriptive writer!

Is that some type of super good creole dish from the south? How is it pronounced, hyper-bowl-lee??

Soul was fantastically done. Good family film unlike any other I have seen in how it will entertain the adults and children on totally different levels. Wonderful.

That will be so cool.

Yea but I believe some here have been arguing here that Musgrove will be better than Lynn... which I still don’t see.

A Yankees site weighs in on their view of Musgrove. https://yanksgoyard.com/2020/12/27/yankees-rumors-pirates-joe-musgrove-not-an-option/amp/

I could see him hitting at a clip that almost mirrors his BABIP - it’s actually well documented for hitters of his profile.

I wasn’t looking at fWar and happily stand corrected.

Thanks, very good post.

Dunning + for Musgrove? No way Jose.

Not by much... https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=musgro000joe

I was going to say something similar... Musgrove is a number 5 type around replacement level. Nothingburger trade value with many similar FA options.

Good luck on that one Matt.

Hit a home run rehabbing at the training site while injured and hit a home run the day before draft day. I think “he has hit with little power” is accurate.

I’m accounting for his injuries when looking at the small sample size we saw last year. Also accounting for physical growth and player development. He demonstrated more power prior to the injury in college... not saying he will be a 15 hr annual guy at all but think he will grow into some more power. That much, I haven’t given up on yet.

I still haven’t given up on Madrigal having some pop.
