The thing I always struggled with in OOTP was deciding if I wanted to see players TRUE attributes, or attributes my scouting department thought they were. I wrestled with this so much that I eventually stopped playing, among other reasons obviously. On the one hand, it's cool that you should want a top notch scouting department to be accurate and the mystery of not knowing if a trade or draft pick was correct or not was intriguing. On the other hand, I was struggling with not knowing if my top prospect actually sucks, or is just doing poorly. And if he's just doing poorly, I can figure out ways to try to fix it. If my scouting department thinks he's great, but his TRUE attributes suck, I'm wasting all my time and frustration with a guy who was never going to pan out anyway. I struggled with this concept because just turning it off seemed like cheating. And sometimes I WOULD briefly toggle it off to check on a rating before I committed to a trade or major signing. But then I felt like, well what's the point if I am not willing to mess up. It got in my head so much. lol

I didn't see a thread for this yet, but we can use this to show off our rosters, discuss trade opportunities, b**** about Brach and Knebel blowing saves for me on Opening Day, etc.

I'm going to say Castillo hits the first HR of the season. And since this team is actually pretty well stocked with speed for once, I'll say Moncada gets the first SB of the year.

Is it just me, or does Liberatore have a inconsistent windup? I can't tell if he is varying it on purpose with a runner on base, or if he just switches it up to confuse the hitter, or whether it's incidental. Either way, it's strange.

Far Cry 5 and The Show came out this week. FC5 will be arriving next week, but I'm going to finish off Far Cry 4 before I bust in to it. The Show, I did not get on launch day for the first time in like 8 years. It just doesn't change enough each year for me to be excited anymore. I'm still getting it for sure, but I'm going to wait until Operation Sports Full Minors comes out and I can restart my 2 year old franchise. If FC5 wasn't coming out, I'd have it, but I'm going to focus on FC5 first.

Abreu and Giolito. With how bad AL 1B are...there is almost no chance Abreu doesn't make the team almost just by default.

100% on board for this. Who knows, maybe Hahn has been sitting on a trade like this all winter and is just waiting for Friedman to finally sweeten the prospect to get it done, and maybe Friedman is waiting to see if any injuries occur this ST where he may want to keep Kemp to fill in. I guess we should all (those who want a trade for Kemp if it means we snag a prospect) hope the Dodgers OF remains healthy all ST and Kemp sucks this spring. Maybe a trade goes down in the next 3 weeks. As for what the return would be? No flippin idea. The best we can get, I suppose. It's all gravy anyway.
