  1. The biggest thing I've noticed Anderson needs to work on is his footwork around 2B. But I imagine that's just a repetition thing that will only get better.
  2. Finally got to watch a Sox game today in which Narvaez was catching, and he seems to be solid defensively, at least much better than Navarro was, which I realize is easy to do. He stole a few pitches for Q today and seemed to have some idea for pitch framing. Also, the dude is walking in like 18% of his PA so far, which is nuts.
  3. I just picked up Christine Michael from FA and dropped Bilal Powell. Michael is apparently ahead of Rawls on the depth chart. Forsett was also available.
  4. Do I start Decker or Baldwin in non-PPR, standard scoring. Ugh, I can't decide. Decker projected for 9.1, Baldwin for 9.2.
  5. QUOTE (hi8is @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 08:21 PM) Well that sucks to read - it seemed to have a lot of promise even with some plot holes and poorly acted scenes. Guess it gets worse and not better. Bastards. If only every show was Breaking-Bad-Like. They reveal in S2 what happened in S1, and 90% of the scenes you saw in Season 1 become irrelevant. All the side stories and theories, all the characters, none of them had any connection or relation. It's so frustrating to not reward an audience with the ability to put things together or form ideas based on the info we were shown.
  6. QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 7, 2016 -> 06:46 AM) The Killing was on AMC for three years before doing a season or so on Netflix. I despised that first season. Started good but ended awful with no reveal. I never went back Yeah, S1 was a real kick in the nuts. Compelling, but in the end, they led us down 5 or 6 different paths that led to nothing and never mattered. I think I watched S2 just to find out what happened, but then I stopped and have no interest in ever going back.
  7. Should make another thread for best HBO Documentaries. I would start with Paradise Lost and then The Jinx. I also love the Iceman stuff too.
  8. Good. Get him to W-S next April and have him starting games.
  9. QUOTE (TRU @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 08:37 PM) The best part about fantasy football, outside of winning money, is having a rooting interest in almost every game. Im guessing your league settings, but heres what I would do QB: Matthew Stafford RB: Latavius Murray RB: Melvin Gordon WR: DeAndre Hopkins WR: Keenan Allen TE: Rob Gronkowski Flex: Eric Decker K: Cairo Santos DEF: Seattle Bench: Doug Baldwin, Sea WR Bench: Tom Brady, NE QB Bench: Giovani Bernard, Cin RB Bench: Allen Hurns, Jax WR Bench: Isaiah Crowell, Cle RB Bench: Bilal Powell, NYJ RB Bench: Dorial Green-Beckham, Phi WR Ideally, you want Latavius Murray as your RB2.. I would try to use Doug Baldwin and Allen Hurns to get Doug Martin..If he wants Keenan Allen, it needs to be for David Johnson.. Id try Keenan Allen and Doug Baldwin for David Johnson in that case.. this way, you get a high end RB1 and move Murray to RB 2, Decker can slot in just fine as your WR2 and then you can play matchups for your flex. If Spencer Ware is a free agent in your league, drop Powell and pick him up. Spencer Ware is not available. I currently have 2 offers out to other teams. Hopkins for Elliot, and Baldwin for Forte. Here is the roster of the guy who I have been negotiating with so far... 5 Julio Jones, Atl WR 16 David Johnson, Ari RB 25 Doug Martin, TB RB 36 Demaryius Thomas, Den WR 45 Jeremy Hill, Cin RB 56 Kelvin Benjamin, Car WR 65 Coby Fleener, NO TE 76 Ryan Mathews, Phi RB 85 Blake Bortles, Jax QB 96 Adam Vinatieri, Ind K 105 Tyler Lockett, Sea WR 116 Texans D/ST D/ST 125 Derek Carr, Oak QB 136 Stefon Diggs, Min WR 145 Charles Sims, TB RB 156 Devontae Booker, Den RB
  10. QUOTE (TRU @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 06:03 PM) Ugh, why the hell did you go WR heavy in a NON PPR league? Based off your posts in here, im going to assume you're either new to fantasy or just not very good. 10 DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR 11 Rob Gronkowski, NE TE 30 Keenan Allen, SD WR 31 Doug Baldwin, Sea WR 50 Latavius Murray, Oak RB 51 Eric Decker, NYJ WR 70 Melvin Gordon, SD RB 71 Tom Brady, NE QB 90 Giovani Bernard, Cin RB 91 Allen Hurns, Jax WR 110 Isaiah Crowell, Cle RB 111 Seahawks D/ST D/ST 130 Matthew Stafford, Det QB 131 Bilal Powell, NYJ RB 150 Dorial Green-Beckham, Phi WR 151 Cairo Santos, KC K Please trade Keenan Allen for David Johnson as fast as you can if he will do it. Keenan Allens only value is in PPR leagues. Hes going to catch 100+ balls but hes prolly a 1200 yard 8 TD guy which makes him not much better than Hurns/Decker in a standard league setting. I'm just not very good. I'm only a casual football fan and do fantasy with friends for fun. I don't do mock drafts or much research or anything, just a couple articles an hour before the draft and that's it. But it's fun to have a rooting interest outside of just my favorite team. A guy at work talked me out of my Keenan Allen for Doug Martin trade, so I cancelled that one. Maybe I should just post the roster of the guy who wants to trade with me and you guys will have better suggestions for a trade.
  11. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 04:33 PM) If it's PPR I would not do that if I were you. Keenan is the better player. Your RBs are not that bad that you need to be giving away players at a discounted rate to get one. Also, stop using draft position to determine what makes a trade fair. It is NOT PPR. Scoring is the same for both positions, except RBs get an extra point for 200+ yard games.
  12. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 01:35 PM) Did you offer that? I sure as hell hope not. You can do better for Keenan Allen. No, he countered with that. I countered with Keenan Allen for Doug Martin. The 30th pick for the 26th pick. I think that's about as fair as we might get. He hasn't replied yet.
  13. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 12:23 AM) Somebody should check what Brian Dozier is taking nowadays. He's been possessed since the all star break. 21 HR since JULY 31st. :o :o
  14. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 12:01 AM) Do you have a bunch of weird rules? How does David Johnson go 16th and why did you pass on him twice? People are going to need to better understand the rules/scoring of your league in order to critique your roster. I passed on him twice because I was advised to go WR heavy and Gronk always ends up killing me in fantasy every year (I seem to play the team that has him in the 1st RD of playoffs every year and he goes off), so taking Gronk right at about where he was projected was to get that bugaboo on my side for once. Taking Gronk was foregone conclusion, so it was between Hopkins or Johnson and the "take WRs early" advice made me choose Hopkins. At that point I decided to punt on RB for a few rounds, but it when I was ready to take a RB, it ended up being where like the next 25 or so best available were WR/TE/QB and I didn't want to reach on a RB, so I actually took a bench WR before I took my 2nd RB, and immediately floated the idea of a WR/RB swap to the chat. The owner of Johnson's team said he would take me up on that. If he won't take Keenan Allen for Johnson, instead of offering Hopkins for Johnson, I'll probably sidestep to Allen for Doug Martin or maybe go after Hill eventually. I need one of those 3 from him for pretty much anyone but Hopkins.
  15. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 6, 2016 -> 12:00 AM) Wow.. He was the first RB taken in my draft, 3rd overall. I would think he's as untouchable as they come. I believe ESPN ranks the players in the draft lobby based on our league's point system. There were multiple RBs ranked ahead of him in our draft lobby.
  16. Can anyone actually give feedback on the team I drafted, or are we all going to continue to freak out over a 3rd RD WR for a 2nd RD RB that I didn't even ask an feedback on?
  17. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Sep 5, 2016 -> 11:45 PM) I'm sorry, but are you f***ing serious with those offers? David Johnson is a top two RB. Why would anyone trade you him for the garbage you're proposing? And in a ten team league...wow just wow. I'd be personally offended if someone offered me any of those players for Johnson. Where the hell was he taken in your league and why didn't you draft him yourself if you have the balls to offer this guy a 10th round receiver for him? Ignoring all of your melodramatic bulls***, I'll answer your actual civilized question here. He was taken 16th overall. 6th RB off the board. And he took Doug Martin and Jeremy Hill in the 3rd and 5th. He contacted me and said he wants to trade one of his extra RB for a WR.
  18. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2016 -> 11:45 PM) So your counter offer back is going to be your 3rd or 6th round pick for a top 10 overall guy? I don't even get the logic here. My 3rd RD pick for his 2nd RD pick, when he expressed interest in trading a RB because he has too many and needs a WR?
  19. With today's loss, Sox still have 11th pick. 3 GB of Angels for 10th pick 14.5 GB of Twins for 1st pick
  20. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Sep 5, 2016 -> 11:33 PM) Do the people in your league not get mad when you propose ridiculous stuff? Nah, nobody in our league proposes their best offer first. They start off hoping the other guy is clueless, then they counter back and forth until they find a middle.
  21. Finished my season 14-2. Am currently halfway through our champion round. I am up 551 to 454, and he just lost Keuchel for the rest of our matchup, as well as Steven Wright. I have up to 15 scheduled starts left through Sunday, he now has 6 until he replaces Kuechel. I think I am in damn good shape to win this whole thing.
  22. Here is my team. I am laughable at RB, but I think everything else is solid. Currently have a trade offer out of Allen Hurns for RB David Johnson. Don't expect him to accept, but plan on countering with Eric Decker or Keenan Allen if/when he rejects it. 10 DeAndre Hopkins, Hou WR 11 Rob Gronkowski, NE TE 30 Keenan Allen, SD WR 31 Doug Baldwin, Sea WR 50 Latavius Murray, Oak RB 51 Eric Decker, NYJ WR 70 Melvin Gordon, SD RB 71 Tom Brady, NE QB 90 Giovani Bernard, Cin RB 91 Allen Hurns, Jax WR 110 Isaiah Crowell, Cle RB 111 Seahawks D/ST D/ST 130 Matthew Stafford, Det QB 131 Bilal Powell, NYJ RB 150 Dorial Green-Beckham, Phi WR 151 Cairo Santos, KC K
  23. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 5, 2016 -> 12:00 AM) There wasn't. Joecoolman again making something out of nothing from a post. ???
