  1. Watched the season premiere of Ray Donovan. Solid start. You know Ray is going to be f***ing Katie Holmes any time now. Weird that Mick is like some good guy hero now though. I mean, obviously he still does bad things, but he is like the protector of that apartment complex.
  2. Random tidbit...... I got a buddy who has a buddy who went to HS with Saladino. They are all out at the bars together tonight. He said Saladino is "very Cali" in the way he talks and acts, but that he's super humble and down to Earth. Says he doesn't really stand out and is downplaying being a professional athlete. Then again, he's only a week in to this new life, so he hasn't had time for "fame" to get to him, if it will at all. Oh yeah, and he said Tyler got his 1st big league check today. I'd expect my buddy to drink free tonight!
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 18, 2015 -> 06:48 PM) Johnson 2-2 with a homer. He's earning that promotion back to the Sox! Trade Conor and Beckham/Bonafacio somewhere, give Johnson 2B, give Saladino 3B, and give Sanchez a few starts a week at 2B/3B/SS and late inning replacement for Micah at 2B.
  4. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 17, 2015 -> 01:26 PM) Impractical Jokers season premiere was decent The oversized ridiculous hook gag is great. I can just imagine being a bystander seeing that.
  5. I'm back on that Sims 4 train. Just downloaded Go to Work expansion and the Outdoor Retreat pack.
  6. Wow, what a comeback! And off Holland!
  7. Can't believe no one made a thread yet. Fulmer debuts tonight at 9 PM for AZL Sox....where he *should* dominate. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?s...mp;ymd=20150718 AAA - Noesi AA - Bucciferro A+ - Nate Jones A - Thompson GF - Einhardt AZL - Fulmer
  8. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Jul 15, 2015 -> 11:20 AM) Do you live in an older house? Some of those older houses were built with mesh net walls that were plastered, these interfere with wireless signals. The only thing I can think of is his house is full of metal/pipes/mesh netting and it's interfering with his signal. Either that, of he's using a router that just isn't very powerful. 1991. I think it could be our central air vent system through the walls/ceilings that is hurting the signal I guess? I got the booster hooked up now, so our signal is back to where it was, and our speeds are better than we were on our s***ty old G300 router, but I know I am not getting the full power of my AC1750 router, not even close.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 15, 2015 -> 11:17 AM) What type of router do you have? That seems pretty terrible. TP-Link Archer 7 AC1750. I had "tested" a Netgeat Nighthawk 1750 before that. Both had problems with range in my house.
  10. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 16, 2015 -> 09:56 AM) I needed a new show to watch during my commute home so I went with Ray Donovan. Anyone else watch? 2 episodes in it seems like a solid show. Yeah, my dad and I thoroughly enjoy it.
  11. I swear, you'd think my house was coated with lead-paint. My Chromecast about 40 feet away from the router can't get a signal. Looks like I am going to have to hook up our booster again and take slower speeds to get full coverage in the house. Ugh. I hate to bottleneck this thing, but it seems I have no choice. My next investment may be in a Powerline Adapter for my PS4. They run about $40 on Amazon.
  12. For anyone who hasn't bought Rory 16 yet, you can get it at Costco for $49.99. Or if you aren't a member, Best Buy will price match them.
  13. 2 for 4 for Alvarez with 2 doubles. However he made 2 throwing errors. He has 25 this year. YIKES. I'm guessing he just doesn't have anything close to the reps that other guys have to excel fundamentally. Matt Cooper with the elusive 4 K inning.
  14. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 10:54 PM) Yeah, let's get a physical defenseman. The Hawks have shown year after year that they definitely rely on their hard hitting, nasty attitude. Get more of those. The fast, highly skilled kind (Keith), shot blocking, stay at home, do anything for the team kind (Hjalmarsson) and clutch kind (Seabrook) don't cut it in this league anymore. Are you talking about Daley? Isn't he considered a speedy, offensive D-man? Or maybe I'm coming in to the middle of a different conversation.
  15. http://www.fangraphs.com/community/chris-s...-dominant-june/ For anyone who didn't want to read those glowing numbers, in the month of June, Sale had the most dominant Fastball....Change-up.....AND slider. They credit him with throwing a sinker as well, but I think that's just the computer systems fudging data or him slipping with a pitch. The most interesting thing of note you may not have EVER guessed? Check the table at the bottom and see who threw the most valuable splitter in June...
  16. Samardzija is really having quite a season. He's on pace to pretty much match his 2014 season where he put up a 4.2 WAR. He sits with a 2.4 WAR right now. His ERA is higher than normal, and his K rate has taken a little dip, but his HR right is very strong, his walk rate is at a career low, his K/BB is one of his best. His hard hit contact % is one of the lowest in his career. His clutch rating is extremely high. He's trending upward and if this team decides to sell, I think he could actually fetch a couple top 10 prospects from a team.
  17. It's weird to think that the Hawks potentially have 7 new faces starting next year. That's a gigantic turnover. If they can make a deep run again, then that would be an amazing job by Toews and Q.
  18. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 10, 2015 -> 10:56 PM) Micah hitting .313 now after going 3-5 with 2 doubles in game two It is really refreshing to see Micah get called down and continue to progress instead of regress Thompson is at .264 now too He didn't really have much to improve upon offensively, in relation to expectations. It's his defense we really need to get some reports on. If he can be even an average defender over there, he will be a valuable asset.
  19. Just hooked the new router up, and changed both signals to Channel 11. Ran a speed test on my computer and I'm getting about 8 Down and Up. Ping is 13 vs 20. I should also mention these speeds are all over WiFi. On the computer that is hardwired, I was getting about 130 Down and 25 Up.
  20. Ugh, losing Johns hurts much more than losing Sharp. I can't believe I actually love the Saad trade in comparison to this s*** return. At least Dano is young and promising. We got older and barely cheaper in this deal. This is really hard to swallow.
  21. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 05:26 PM) Cubs take a lot of pitches, and I'll be pleasantly surprised if Rodon makes it 6 innings. I'm sure he'll hit Rizzo with a pitch or two. I am willing to make a bet with someone that either Sale or Rodon hits Rizzo. Maybe both.
  22. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 9, 2015 -> 08:31 PM) Maiker Feliz is absolutely demolishing the DSL Eh, not really. He's getting a lot of singles and walks, but he has 0 HR and only 5 extra base hits in 28 games played. He's only 17, so I'm not expecting big HR totals, anyway, but I wouldn't say he is "absolutely demolishing". 20-year-old 2B Jake Jarvis is up to .351 though in GF. 17 RBI in 14 games. OBP north of .400.
  23. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 11:23 PM) Every ISP I've ever patronized markets in Mbps, not MBps. For instance, TWC, my current provider... Yeah, you know what, I just looked it up and Comcast apparently does list it in Mbps. I was reading an article that I thought was trying to say internet companies promote it in MB/S instead and for some reason I could visualize seeing a Comcast commercial with the speed listed as MB/S. I misread what they were talking about.
  24. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 10:22 PM) In regards to runs allowed or what? Like I said, watching he didn't look so bad that he should be sent down. If anything working with MLB coaches and players every day should help his defense more then AAA Well, of anyone who had a minimum of 210 innings at 2B this season, Micah was the worst, on pace for -23 UZR/150, while the next worst was -15 UZR/150. So he was quite bad, but that's also a very small sample size, and I'm pretty positive over a full season he would not grade out as the worst defensive 2B season of all time. Even in that small sample size of 210 innings, there were 2 2B who were on pace for worse defensive seasons. Rickie Weeks (-23.5) and Javiar Baez (-28.7). The worst since 2002 (when UZR/150 started being tracked) has been 2011 Bill Hall at an ASTOUNDING -43.8 UZR/150 in nearly 400 innings!! So worst 2B defensive season of all time? Not even close.
