Got a table for 35 reserved at a big local sports bar where we watched the Hawks win it all in 2013. I work until 7 tomorrow, but I'm going to try to get away with wearing my jersey to work.

He doesn't strike out as much as I would have thought he would. 20% k-rate last year, 16% the year before. He also doesn't walk much either, or hit for a very good average. I don't know what his defense is like, but if he's an above average fielder, I'd give him a flier for sure. EDIT: Apparently he was known as a defensive wizard in the minors, Goldstein at one point calling him the best defensive 3B in all the minors. Apparently that sentiment has not translated in to glowing advanced metrics so far, but he seems to pass the smell test. One reason for the metrics not loving him are that the Astros shift a TON and shifts aren't accounted for in fielding metrics, so that could skew his numbers poorly.

If I lived closer I would do it. I love bowling. Nearly bowled my first 300 game last summer.

As much as I hate him as a person, maybe Oakland would move Brett Lawrie once Zobrist comes back, as 2 of their top prospects are 3B anyway. Maybe they could try to move Semien to 3B and give Zobrist SS. Outside of his batting avg., he's having the worst year of his career. Maybe he can be had for cheap, exspecially if he's expendable, yet he's still only 25. I'd give it a chance if the cost was significantly lower than it was in the offseason. I'd flip Danish for him. Only problem with Lawrie outside of his character, is his health.
