QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ May 13, 2015 -> 09:05 PM) Nice job to get him in Bonerface. He's hitting the ball alright. Be careful with the personal attacks. -

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 13, 2015 -> 08:52 PM) Fake Sox fan! ? As a fan, I don't mind Hawk because it's fun to have an announcer root along with you and get excited for the team you like, but at the same time, he doesn't provider the viewer with any useful knowledge on the current game of baseball and he doesn't teach any new analysis. As much as I hate Len "Kermit the Frog" Kasper, he does a good job keeping current with new stats and analysis. -

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 13, 2015 -> 08:41 PM) I'm going to miss Hawk teaching baseball history when he's gone and we just have the run of the mill douche simply commenting on the game and puking up stats to fill the air. God bless ya Hawk! I'm going to enjoy current analysis on modern baseball and players that are currently playing and coming up, than hearing the same stories repeated a couple times a week ad nauseum. -
Trey went 2/4 with 2 doubles. Peter went 1/2 with 2 BBs. Both are now hitting .268. Trey made his 8th error.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ May 11, 2015 -> 08:47 AM) After reading what McDaniel has been writing about the 2016 draft, I'm glad we gave up 2 picks this year rather than next year. McDaniel has also said that when scouts or experts talk about "weak drafts" or "deep drafts", they are pretty much referring to the 1st 15 picks. Everyone from picks 16-1000 are generally the same every year, and it's hard to really evaluate them anyway. So just because the top 10 this year will be weak compared to last year's top 10, it doesn't mean our 2nd and 3rd RD picks this year would have been worse than last year's.

5/11 White Sox @ Brewers

Start time is actually 6:20....but why? -
I saw True Story last week. It was a decent movie, but very very slow and the trailers led me to believe there would be action in it. Very creepy and very well acted, but don't expect anything exciting to happen. It's just a movie where you get more wrapped up in the stories they tell than what's on screen.

5/9 Reds @ White Sox Doubleheader

My guess for Rodon... 5 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6 K. -
QUOTE (StRoostifer @ May 9, 2015 -> 08:29 AM) I was thinking Brett Gardner. Can't go wrong either way. Good grief, he just stroked the ball out of the park on a line shot. Impressive power! I'm with you LDF. I would love to see Sox minor league games. I just went Ellsbury for the power stroke. Gardner is probably more realistic in terms of batting average and SB numbers.

His comp is probably between Jose Iglesias and Didi Gregorious.

Fulmer is leading the entire NCAA in K's this season I believe. He's still the guy I want.

Here is a video of the curveball that Hawkins DESTROYS for a HR. The fans in the OF don't even go back for the ball, it's way out of the premises. http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?con...83&sid=milb CYA, BALL.

QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ May 8, 2015 -> 10:21 PM) I always thought of Engel as the Sox version of Craig Gentry with a bit more pop. Seems like a fairly similar comparison. Craig Gentry? Shoooot, give me Jacoby Ellsbury!

Awesome. I'm almost not even disappointed I'm going to be skipping the Cover Your Bases bar crawl in Chicago tomorrow. I'll get to see 2 starting debuts for Sox prospects.

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ May 5, 2015 -> 06:31 PM) Too trusting. When I was in school my teacher left her coffee unattended. Kids dumped white-out into her coffee. I had to warn her before she drank it. 2 thoughts... 1) What evil students. I never saw anyone do that kind of stuff to any of my teachers. 2) Way to snitch! You must have spent the rest of that day stuffed in your locker, NERD!

Sweet ending to Gotham. I hope they do like a 5 year jump though in the storyline to make that final scene have more impact. I can't imagine that Bruce sits on that reveal for 10 years before doing anything and the show never gets to that point.

I did the entire Prom thing my Junior year, with my GF who was a Senior, so it was really important to her at least (I don't give a s*** about these things). We did the group pics, went to Chicago that night for carriage rides and The Melting pot place, yada yada yada. Then our prom group all went camping the next night. My g/f and I had yet to have sex, so this was going to be our first time, in a tent, next to other tents with couples banging. Then I find out that day that she started her period. Weekend ruined. I was actually pretty relieved, because I had a firm grip on my V card by then, but I was also ready to get it over with. I remember she actually slept topless with me that night in the tent which was just a huge tease, quite literally, massive tits. Then my Senior year I did not have a g/f and didn't want to do the whole friend-date thing, so I just skipped the dance and pictures and hopped on the party bus with everyone and went to Chicago again.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ May 4, 2015 -> 09:11 AM) Hedges was promoted by the Padres while Derek Norris himself is doing well. Maybe the Padres are trying to showcase him for a potential June/July deal? If Alexei starts hitting between now and then, perhaps we can see a deal with Alexei and Hedges as the base with other moving pieces since the Padres will likely be buyers. The only problem with that is I would think you'd rather trade a young prospect who is tearing up the minors, than to hope he dominates out of the gate and you can trade him at that point. Unless, of course, so many teams gave them the "yeah, but will he hit against MLB pitching", that they decided to go trial by fire.

Assuming we really do continue to spiral downward, which I am not willing to concede yet, I think Samardzija is the only one gone for sure. Everyone else has more than 1 year left, if Hahn wanted to finish his rebuild this offseason and hope they do better next year. He isn't going to fire sale this team. They are far too talented, and it's a bad sign for future FA if you just dump everyone you just signed this offseason. LaRoche, Melky, Robertson, Duke, those guys aren't going anywhere.

That was like a Superbowl where each team punts back and forth for possession, and then the Patriots win on a FG, 3-0. I understand that Mayweather was "in control", but to the layman it seemed like all the "big hits" and damage was done by Pacman. It seems the fact that Manny didn't outpunch him by a large margin, he lost. But it's not like Mayweather only threw a few punches, but they were big powerful blows and Manny had to make up the difference. I think I saw 2 solid hits by Mayweather, and then defense for the other 98% of the time and he somehow was just cruising to the win. Boxing seems real dumb to an outsider like me if that was considered a "great fight".
