  1. The issue with the fastball is the most concerning thing in that article, IMO.
  2. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 10:05 PM) So you are again comparing a super utility player to a potential cy cyoung winner, three more cy cyoung winners with one of them also being a mvp. Any other cy cyoung pitchers you want to compare a super utility player to. Your are bringing up him having a high war but wouldn't him being a super utility player have a affect on that. He played 5 positions last year so that has to take in account for is war. where is his break down per position. He's not comparing them, the numbers are showing them being comparable. Also, I don't think you understand how WAR works if you think him playing many positions gives him an advantage in WAR. I mean, it does when he plays highly skilled positions, but he is also good enough to play those higher skilled positions, so his bat at SS actually is more valuable than when that bat is in LF. But he's making himself more valuable that way, not the numbers.
  3. Suh WON his appeal. Will play this weekend. Got slapped with a fine instead. The NFL is a joke.
  4. Malik Zaire looks goooood. I've hated Golson every step of the way during his tenure, I hope Zaire takes over next season. Kid has a cannon in his left arm.
  5. Whatever team gets him, is giving up at least 1 top 50 prospect if they have it, 2 top 100 prospects if they don't. Any talks with the Sox would start with Anderson.
  6. QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 05:02 PM) i just don't know. society has grown alot. You may have caught this, but he was making a joke about your misspelling of wear/were.
  7. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 09:26 AM) I've decided I want a new game console (I currently have a Wii). I am debating between a PS4 and XBox One. It will be primarily for sports game like NBA, NHL, NFL, MLB. I do not play first person shooters. Thoughts? Your experience will largely be the same on both, but I would choose your system based on what your friends have, and if baseball is your favorite sport, then the PS4 is the only one with a baseball game, and it's an amazing one to boot. I've never owned any version of Xbox in my life, but I'm sure you'll be happy either way.
  8. QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 01:30 PM) and that is when the cost will go up. he make too much sense. man the way the NL talent is spread, there are at least 3 -4 teams who could walk away with it. Right. He's going to get a nice, probably over pay, by some team because he would fit on any of them. All teams could be competing for him.
  9. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 01:10 PM) my dog kind of sucks at using his bed It's that cold surface dogs love.
  10. QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 12:04 PM) lol sorry but i was thinking of that like, sick puppy. sorry. We were expecting her to throw up, but she never did. Just insane amounts of gas and some pretty impressive s***s. She seems to be back to normal, behavior wise, today. Still looks like a chunker though. lol.
  11. QUOTE (MEANS @ Dec 30, 2014 -> 10:14 AM) see the twist mad me mad and not want to watch anymore of it.... Really? That's what brought it back to reality for me.
  12. Zobrist would make a lot of sense for any team that is not phoning in 2015. He plays everywhere, plays it well, and is a very solid bat. Fans of about 27 teams are saying right now "Zobrist would be a perfect fit for us".
  13. Switched our puppy over to a free-feeder today. I wasn't awake yet when my dad brought it out, but she ate herself in to a food coma, and hasn't eaten yet since. lol. She is visibly fat and bloated it's so adorable. But she'll even out in a few days and get used to it.
  14. 2/3's of the way through Ascension. It's not too bad. During the premiere I was a little iffy on the show, figured I probably wouldn't watch any more of it. But then there was a twist in the finale couple minutes that brought me back in. Not a great show, but a very interesting concept and I really want to find out how this ends. As far as I can tell so far, it's just a 6 episode mini-series.
  15. Just tried out my new beard trimmer (Phillips Norelco vacuum trimmer) and got my very first safety razor. It was a weird feeling, considering I didn't feel it doing anything, but my skin is baby soft now.
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 28, 2014 -> 10:23 PM) I agree with you. I really didn't think it was intentional. I think the first step was unintentional, then the 2nd step was clearly on purpose, and then he takes all his weight off his front foot and pushing off Rodgers to step forward again. And he never once looks down, which is a normal reaction when someone accidentally steps on something, and he also never turns around when Rodgers pushes him, because he knows what he did. If he truly didn't know what was happening, he would have turned around and question why Rodgers was pushing him and yelling. Piece of s***, through and through.
  17. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 15, 2014 -> 03:16 PM) Why? Keith Law doesn't hate the White Sox, never has, and previously was calling it liked he saw it. He didn't see Sale as anything other than a potential reliever and then stated that he never saw Sale's slider turning into a plus-plus pitch, like it has. He saw him as fastball-change. Frankly, what the Sox have been able to do with Sale is incredible. There is no way any team other than the Sox saw him like this or he would have gone #1 overall. Plus Montas is practically a Red Sox prospect anyways. I'll never forget Keith Law saying in like 2011 that a good Halloween costume would be to go as Alexei Ramirez by wearing a black shirt and wildly swinging a bat around, never actually making contact with anything. One of the most asinine comments I've ever seen from him, insinuating Alexei has contact issues. Also, couldn't it be possible the 17 teams AFTER the Sox in that draft may have thought Sale was an ace? I mean, it's not like he was taken in the 2nd round.
  18. QUOTE (woods of ypres @ Dec 27, 2014 -> 08:17 PM) Not to mention the Red Sox. Hey, nice sig!
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 26, 2014 -> 09:13 AM) you mean like the second paragraph when it says this or the third paragraph where it says this Or how the 2nd paragraph says "TOP SLOT", in which case that doesn't apply to the 2nd slot I am talking about, or how about the 3 paragraph that said "If Arizona wins....", which they did not. A Seattle loss and a Arizona loss puts Dallas in the #2 slot. Period.
  20. Saw The Interview tonight. It was actually really funny I thought. Obviously had some really dumb parts, but overall it was one of the best comedies of the year, only coming behind 22 Jump Street of what I can think of off the top of my head.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 27, 2014 -> 11:56 PM) The Wire in HD is a different, amazing experience. Try watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer in HD Widescreen.
  22. Saw The Imitation Game yesterday. I thought it was really, really good. I loved everything except for how the ending dragged on a bit. Could have shaved about 20 minutes off, but it was under 2 hours anyway, so the extra 20 minutes wasn't unbearable.
  23. I don't think the Sox will pursue Moncada not because they can't find the money, but because Jerry doesn't seem like he'd exploit loopholes left by his best friend Bud Selig. It seems Jerry always tries to follow Bud's rules.
  24. Thinking of watching Ascension. I don't really do many sci-fi shows. But as long as they keep it all human and somewhat realistic, I can deal with it. As soon as they start having encounters with aliens, I'm out.
