  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 02:44 PM) Is this game on mlb.com today or fox? WGN I believe.
  5. Fun stat for the month of May. Viciedo hit .351 with 8 HR, 24 RBI. .995 OPS.
  6. Kevin Goldstein ‏@Kevin_Goldstein Source indicates that Jorge Soler's agent, Barry Praver, has requested that offers for his client be submitted by Thursday, June 7 Good. Get this thing wrapped up sooner than drag it on.
  7. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 12:58 PM) I am benching Gavin today in Fantasy because I don't trust him anymore until he gets on one of his runs. Therefore he is guaranteed to throw a complete game shutout. Your welcome. I am playing him today just because I can always hope.
  8. Hey, look, a Met's player's dong! NSFW.... http://deadspin.com/5915116/?utm_campaign=...dium=socialflow
  9. Yeah, they need to lower tickets if they want anyone to show up. I looked up prices for the game I am already going to because my aunt said she sold 2 of the 4 tickets for $45 each. That seemed like a lot to me, so upon looking up tickets, I was seeing seats down the 3B line going for $75 a ticket. And this was from the Sox website, not other fans trying to resell tickets. $75 for a game? Is that a joke? Now I have never paid for a Sox ticket in my life, but I surely wouldn't spend anything close to $75, unless it was a World Series game, and even then, it would have to be like a clinching game for the Sox.
  10. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 1, 2012 -> 11:27 PM) All the sudden, there are only two teams in the MLB with a better record than us, and they aren't better by much... Texas, Dodgers, AND Washington, and we are tied with Tampa, but yeah, top 5 record in baseball.
  11. Going to the game on the 9th vs. the Astros. Sale is pitching. BONER TIME!
  12. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jun 2, 2012 -> 12:59 AM) A banner on soxtalk.com does not effect the play of the chicago white sox PROVE IT DOESN'T KEV!!! PROVE IT DOESN'T!!! But seriously, I'm cool to wait until we finally lose a game, it doesn't really make a difference.
  13. Walker stole another base. 29 bags stolen. Hitting only .259, but OBP is .376. I like it.
  14. I like happy Peavy better because angry Peavy barely even looks like him.
  15. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 1, 2012 -> 03:53 PM) Romo is overrated because he gets WAY too much press. Things that have nothing to do with his quarterbacking make him a hot topic when he doesn't deserve to be. The true measure of how people feel about you is how much you're talked about and all they will do once the season gets going is talk about Tony Romo and the Cowboys. Paul Konerko is underrated not because nobody thinks he is good, but because nobody thinks about him at all. I think you are confusing overexposed with overrated. Overrated means that everyone thinks he is way better than he actually is. That's not even close to being true with Romo. Ask anybody who isn't on TV what they think of Romo. "That dude sucks. Romo the Homo. He chokes.", etc. Look at message boards. People may hate him because he gets a lot of press coverage on ESPN, but unlike Tebow, Romo is actually very, very good. I wouldn't say Tebow is overrated, because most people understand how awful he is, but he is CERTAINLY over-exposed. Romo, however, is treated like dogs*** by pretty much every meatball fan out there that loves homophobic rhyming, and loves hating on the Cowboys because they are...the Cowboys.
  16. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 1, 2012 -> 03:27 PM) The only people who support him are the one's who receive pretty decent fantasy value out of him. Or people who realize that it's the Dallas Defense that chokes, not Tony Romo, who has the highest 4th Quarter QB rating of all-time.
  17. My aunt is giving me tickets to next Saturday's game vs. the lowly Astros. Who is scheduled to pitch? Christopher Sale. I MAY just see 21 K's in a game. I'm soo pumped.
  18. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jun 1, 2012 -> 07:04 AM) Fixed that for ya This isn't the thread for it, for you've got to stop listening to meathead fans who just like to talk crap about anyone who stands behind center for the Cowboys, especially when his name rhymes with "homo". Tony could win 3 straight superbowls, and people would still pretend he isn't good.
  19. QUOTE (Jake @ May 31, 2012 -> 11:11 PM) I bet I can guess how the lineup will look tomorrow.. Like a god damn murderous row, that's how.
  20. QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 31, 2012 -> 08:56 PM) This could be a good one tomorrow. Seattle's hot... but then again, Tony "the world's best loser" Romo threw out the first pitch last night, that's why Seattle scored 3 TD's against the Rangers. Tony Romo, possibly the most underrated/under-appreciated QB in the NFL.
  21. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 31, 2012 -> 02:30 PM) Attacker's mother speaks out. They should have tased him? Ma'am, it took a flury of bullets to get your son to stop growling and finally die, I am pretty sure no one was getting close enough to try and tase the dude. Also, I heard from an officer they have had similar cases with people on bath salts going nuts, and one said a guy took his clothes off and jumped on the hood of a taxi, starting punching up the car and breaking the glass and hitting the people inside. They tased him and it had no effect. It took 15 officers to contain the man. 15 officers!
