Speaking of the draft, remember last year when everyone laughed at the Cubs for taking Hayden Simpson in the first RD, a guy that wasn't even considered a top 250 prospect? Well, we were all right.
In 114 pro innings since being drafted, he has a 6.59 ERA, 151 H, 67 BB, and 71 K to go along with a 1.90 WHIP. LOL. Absolutely terrible. Despite being awful, they have progressed him from RK to Low-A, and now High-A. In High-A, he has MORE THAN TWICE as many walks (29) as he does strikeouts (14) in 35 innings. His WHIP is 2.18.
Good lord, he might be the worst 1st RD pick I have ever heard of so far.
