  1. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 06:47 PM) I couldn't finish season 1. I loved the show, but could not watch it by myself. Felt like I needed someone else to watch it with. ?
  2. QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 06:43 PM) He is in Chicago, becoming a citizen of the USA. Per Merkin. Oh yeah, that's right. I think they said he will miss tomorrows game too.
  3. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 06:29 PM) Guess who isn't in Charlotte's lineup this evening? Make it so, KW! I'll contain my enthusiasm by pointing out he hasn't had an offday in a while.
  4. Rain is falling in Minnesota apparently. Tarp on field. Not looking good at all for this game.
  5. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 06:09 PM) That's a perfect name for a guy who gets cheap hits. Only reason I picked him.
  6. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 05:07 PM) any word on the MRI he was supposed to have today? MRI showed no fluid in the groin. He should be fine. also...... Peavy said he'll volunteer for any role when he returns - even bullpen Will make a minor league start thursday or Friday, and should be back next week after the AZ series.
  7. QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 05:34 PM) IF we don't get a sweep I would be disappointed.... this lineup is worse than Oaklands and Seattle A sweep really? This is the Twins we are talking about, and the team that is very hot right now. I'd be happy with 2/3.
  8. QUOTE (robinventura23 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 05:29 PM) No Kubel, no Thome, no Span, no Morneau or Mauer. However, there will still be some no named plucked from their minors to bloop us to death. I am going to pick Dinkleman to be the bulls*** luck player of the day.
  9. Dash 1B/DH Andy Wilkins was added to the Carolina League All-Star team
  10. QUOTE (MAX @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 03:22 PM) Yeah, I agree. Or how about road playoff games? Hell yes. I would bet they would definitely be open for those.
  11. Now I am hearing that the Astros owner said he wants to stay in the NL (no s***), but the Dbacks said they are willing to move to the AL if it helps the league.
  12. QUOTE (hi8is @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 01:59 AM) This is one of my favorite posts of all time Yeah, I approve of that J4L rant.
  13. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 07:17 PM) Another outstanding 1st round pick. Good thing they didn't take Rick Porcello or Ben Revere or Tommy Hunter. Too bad hindsight is 20/20 as well.
  14. Wilkins dropped back to the 5-hole, and went 2/4 with a HR, 3 RBI.
  15. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 09:13 PM) FWIW, Aaron is has great character. I went to a game and he was in the bullpen. He was not used to ignoring fans. I screamed "HEY AARON!!! HEY AARON!!" He turned around "Yeah?". I was completely shocked he acknowledged me. I panicked and blurted out "Uh....we are friends on facebook!". He gave me a thumbs up. I am such an idiot.
  16. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 02:39 PM) Um, I BELIEVE the part of that Law quote that you are forgetting is the part where Keith Law states specifically that Addison Reed has no chance to do anything in the majors because he plays for the Chicago White Sox. I heard him suggest that for Halloween someone should dress up as Addison by wearing in all white and running around throwing baseballs wildly without ever throwing any of them on target.
  17. I was definitely down on The Bridge. The Battle of Millibridge looked pretty clear that Milledge was the better player, and at the time, he was, but their seasons have really gone opposite ways.
  18. Looks like we were all wrong about The Killing's killer. Unless of course they give us another twist in the finale next week.
  19. QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 12:14 PM) While it would be cool, there's just too much pull between the Cards, Cubs, Sox, Reds, and Indians. Yeah, good point.
  20. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 02:47 PM) Does that make ANY sense? lol. I kind of did to me.
  21. QUOTE (High Mileage @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 06:34 PM) Baseball died in Montreal with the strike. Toronto doesn't even deserve a team anymore. I've always thought Austin, Nashville, and Charlotte would be interesting baseball cities. Never thought about Portland, but I could see it... Still would love to see a team in Indy, and I believe they would support one too. Indy reached the 540,000 attendance mark for the 14th straight year.
  22. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 12:04 AM) Floyd - Pavano Buehrle - Blackburn Jackson - Duensing (sp?) Not intimidating at all. Really believe we can take 2 of 3 against that hot Minnesota team.
  23. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 12, 2011 -> 09:54 PM) Yep, he was impressive. Effortless, easy delivery of that 99 MPH fastball. Reed throws 99? s***, no wonder why he was blowing away people at every league so far. Hope that fastball has some movement. Would like to see Coop teach him a cutter, increase that repertoire.
