  1. QUOTE (flavum @ May 5, 2011 -> 07:02 PM) 6 up. 6 down. 29 pitches. 20 strikes. Going for 100 pitches? Could this be his last rehab start?
  2. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 5, 2011 -> 03:27 PM) That first picture literally scared me. Yikes. Well if you put your thumb over that dumb smirk and assume a smile, it's a decent picture.
  3. QUOTE (danman31 @ May 5, 2011 -> 03:15 PM) In fairness only one of those 4 runs was earned. Reed is likable. One of the few prospects off to a strong start this year. Thanks for sharing that link and welcome aboard! Oh, they must have changed a play to an error, or had one of those "earned runs pending the final out of the inning" deals because I was pretty sure he had 4 ER when I looked during the game. Whatever, I'm still confident in him and it doesn't change my opinion.
  4. I don't see Castro being an elite player at all. Maybe he can have an abnormally good season once in his life, but I can't see him being anything that too spectacular.
  5. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 5, 2011 -> 01:20 PM) You don't think the Mets would take Alexei Ramirez, Jake Peavy, Addison Reed, + another good pitching prospect for 4 months+ of Jose Reyes if they had the money? That's insane.
  6. I think he just got roughed up yesterday too. Like 4 ER in 2 IP or something. But yes, I like him a lot.
  7. Of course the Mets would do that (if they had the money). That's an awful deal for the Sox. Alexei is an elite SS in baseball. Not on Reyes level yet, but I don't think he is too far off overall. So then you add in Jake Peavy who is an elite SP (when healthy, big caveat), and Addison Reed who looks to have some good potential, AND then throw in another young arm? That's a haul and a half for the Mets (again, except for the money issue).
  8. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 4, 2011 -> 08:47 PM) You must not like redheads....when she has some color in her face and her hair is curled, she looks really pretty. It's the freckles, pale skin, and I think every image of her I have on The Killing that leaves me completely unattracted to her. So yeah, I guess I probably don't like natural redheads, but it's usually because of the skin and freckles they have, not the hair color.
  9. QUOTE (danman31 @ May 5, 2011 -> 01:29 AM) Both day games today. Jon Gilmore back on the DL for the Barons. Can we please have someone step up in the minors this year? Rienzo, Reed and Petricka have done well, but they're still just in A ball with question marks. Gilmore and Saladino hurt. Short, Phegley, Mitchell, Flowers, Danks, Wilkins and even Viciedo are off to slow starts. Ugh. Something good happen this year! Jose Martinez and a lot of the AAA fodder relievers are doing well.
  10. I thought this thread was about taking the Plan B pill and aborting this season. We still can, we are in the 1st trimester.
  11. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 4, 2011 -> 05:24 AM) Holy crap....I dunno if this has been mentioned before...but the chick who plays Sarah Linden in The Killing, Mireille Enos, is like 1000 times hotter in real life than they make her look in the show...WOWSERS Edit: I see she's been in Big Love and a lot of other shows I have never seen, so maybe everyone else knows this...but jeesh...I saw a commercial with the cast of The Killing not in character and I didn't even know which character she was, she looked so much different. http://www4.pictures.gi.zimbio.com/2009+Lu...hcMEhBdRLfl.jpg http://www.venicemag.com/content/users/ima...ille%20Enos.jpg Still not very sexy, but much better than how they have her look on the show. Damn, she is trollish on The Killing.
  12. Did Jose Martinez get injured? He only had 2 AB today before he was replaced.
  13. Man, Nick Blackburn is a stud! We are just running in to some good pitching guys, that's all. Brad Penny, Bartolo Colon, Liriano, Blackburn. Nothing you can do about that.
  14. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) looks like he thought it was the 3rd out! Lol, that's awful if you think the 1st out is the 3rd out. Haha.
  15. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 4, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) I don't understand what happened - Teahen couldn't get it out of the glove? No one was covering 1B. Everyone went to the ball, and Vizquel broke to 2B for no reason.
  16. Tolbert advances from 1st to 2B while Carlos is napping in RF. Ugh.
  17. Alex Rios is back!!!!!!! No seriously, I hope he continues to show power and can have respectable numbers by June.
  18. QUOTE (T R U @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) lol ok buddy, you are so weird DON'T TRY TO BE CUTE AND CALL ME BUDDY!!! RAGGEE!!! Can we get back to watching this ship sink now?
  19. QUOTE (T R U @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:34 PM) lol whose not calm? you tried to be cute and put "broham" on there so I just told you that I posted before you edited, so don't be a dumbass.. stop overreacting I tried to be cute by mocking frat boys? Hmm, alright. And I'm sorry for being a dumbass. I didn't realize my 2:38 edit was clearly after your 2:38 post. I can be so dumb sometimes.
  20. QUOTE (T R U @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:30 PM) that was before you edited it, dumbass 1) Calm the hell down. 2) Sorry it took me more than half a second to type out the edit, because I started editing it less than 2 seconds after posting it, when the replay was showed. 3) Calm the hell down.
  21. QUOTE (T R U @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) dude give me a f***ing break, that s*** was pretty much in the wall.. thats not pierres fault Check the edit, broham.
  22. LOL. Pierre is just a joke in the OF. Can't even pick up a baseball! EDIT: Ok, nevermind, replay showed that ball really did disappear in the padding. f*** you Bruce, f*** you.
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ May 4, 2011 -> 02:17 PM) I'm predicting the first ever game where one team hits into 9 double plays in one game. You better hope this one goes in to extras then.
  24. Does anyone doubt that the Sox will score 6-8 runs this afternoon and end internal talks of Walker being fired, and secure this man's job, causing us to all rip our hair out?
  25. Before I even saw the poll, I was going to vote for 2007. How can 2006 be on that list? That was a great year filled with career seasons. No playoffs, but not for lack of winning.
