Matt Guerrier and Jesse Crain
I'd love to take either one of them. Crain is younger, but Guerrier has had the steadier career.

5yrs/$115M (23M/per) seems to be the deal.- White Sox Off-Season Catch All Thread
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 14, 2010 -> 12:36 AM) I can stand moving Jackson, but not Floyd. Please not Floyd. Remember the last time we traded for Yankees prospects? Bad, bad memories. Kenny better be smart enough to have the conversation start with Austin Romine or Jesus Montero. If Cashman says "no" to either, then hang up. But I would really love Gardner over everyone.- Cliff Lee signs with Phillies
Lee signs w/ Phillies. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2010/12/agre...-cliff-lee.html- Cliff Lee signs with Phillies
Phillies would definitely have best rotation of all time. And if Lee signs w/ them, this may set up well for Texas and Yankees maybe trying to get Buehrle or Floyd from the Sox if they both need a starter desperately. Grienke might be too expensive, trade wise, for them.- Peavy

QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Dec 13, 2010 -> 07:55 PM) Joe Borchard can hit a baseball 500 feet and isnt in the majors This made me giggle. Good comeback.- Sox sign Bruney and Lucy
Didn't we sign Bruney like....a month ago?- Dexter
QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 11:23 PM) I think it leaves Dexter open in season 6 to just be an absolute badass. Why is that? And I too was disappointed with the ending. Turned out roses for everyone, and no sort of shocking cliffhanger at the end.- White Sox Off-Season Catch All Thread
I always disliked Teahen (baseball speaking), but at least he makes me laugh and seems like a cool guy. Mark Kotsay brought NOTHING to the table but a hot wife.- White Sox Off-Season Catch All Thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 12, 2010 -> 12:21 PM) Like ESPY_TEAHEN Not even a good kisser “@cst_sox: If they can use Teahen 2 get a solid reliever? KW would take 2 airport & kiss him bye.” #toughguytwitter Damnit Teahen, he makes it very hard to not like him.- 2010-11 MLB Offseason Catch-All
Yeah, anything above .250/.310 with his glove at 3B is completely acceptable for a 24-year-old rookie.- White Sox listening to offers for Buehrle
It would be so damn helpful to this team, but incredibly sad to see.- Buehrle gets the save
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 10:07 PM) Great fact checking on Buehrle's name (spelling wise in the text) and the random alcohol shots during the story. And don't even get me started how Buehrle even became involved. Great job Mark, but that was an awful journalistic story. I take it you left that comment on the story? lol.- Bullpen '11
QUOTE (chw42 @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 05:42 PM) I kind of want him back. He could platoon with Quentin and our RF defense won't be as bad. I want him back too, so he can play 140+ games in RF like he is fully capable of.- Bullpen '11
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 03:53 PM) He has been anything but extremely durable for the last 3+ years, and both the Rangers and Sox saw exactly how durable Jones is early in the season last year. Jones got off to a hot streak both years. In 2009, the Rangers were playing him every day through April, and he pulled a muscle at the end of the month that dogged him the entire year. In 2010, the White Sox started playing him every day at the end of April, and within about a week and a half he missed 5+ games with back spasms. lol- Bullpen '11
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 10, 2010 -> 03:24 PM) And if the Sox trade Quentin, they need someone other than Jones to be a platoon partner with him, because he just can't handle the full season. You don't think Jones can handle a full season in RF? Why? He has been an extremely durable player over his career and is 33 right now. I think he is fully capable of 150+ games in RF.- Bullpen '11
I would love to Andruw to be in RF and Quentin to be moved for a reliever or two.- 2010 Fall TV Thread
The League was awesome tonight. The 1st part of the 2-part finale was the best episode the season, even better than the Halloween episode. "And then she told a girl to take a ride on her suck stick"- Props To Cowley
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 9, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) Let see it! Cowley - I love how Trib columnist-by-default continues to pretend he knows what he's talking about with his "sources.'' Clean the pool, junior. I thought it was funny that he was mocking Phil Rogers for getting info wrong, so I replied to the tweet..... Me - @cst_sox By the way, good call on the Konerko ship-sailing. Would have been nice to bring him back. I hope Plan B and C work out! Then he said.... Cowley - @JoeCoolMan24 I believe the S-Times was the only media outlet that had the story last night that despite what KW said, JR wanted it done. and then.... Cowley - @JoeCoolMan24 News is fluid - you are either covering as it happens and as it changes or you cover it after the fact. I do it the first way. He replied to me within minutes it seemed.- 2010 Fall TV Thread
Watched the Breaking Bad restart last night. Show is so epic.- Props To Cowley
Cowley didn't seem to appreciate me mocking him on Twitter about him saying the Konerko ship had sailed and that Kenny was going after Plan B and Plan C.- Crawford to Boston, $142 Million, 7 Years
