http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...rtnerId=rss_cws I got HD Radio on my Zune HD, so I can't wait to hear some White Sox talk.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Nov 1, 2010 -> 01:05 PM) I thought last night's episode was good. Can't wait for the season finale. Yep, I liked it. Matthew M was real funny at the end.

Glad to have The Artist back.... Yeah, apparently Omar is an established artist. Has paintings hanging at AT&T Park.

Can't wait for the blockbuster deal that sends Gerardo Parra to the southside.

I thought it was 5 days after World Series? Unless that means business days.

Will Konerko be in a White Sox uniform come 2011?

QUOTE (rockren @ Oct 31, 2010 -> 12:44 AM) That bomb he hit out of Comerica was a rocket. Hawk said that ball left he park quicker than any ball he has ever seen. Tank is a special talent in the making IMO. Hawk says things like that like once a week.

QUOTE (hitlesswonder @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 10:57 PM) Neglecting the fact that Sale can't be traded yet, I think that's actually pretty realistic. Something like Beckham, Sale, and Morel might be realistic. Rasmus is a better player than Beckham -- his bat is better and he plays excellent defense at a premium position. Sale is an interesting talent, but he's a high injury risk and hasn't pitched many major league innings yet, so I think Beckham and Sale alone wouldn't be enough. Sale can be a PTBNL, and if Beckham, Sale, and Morel is even considered, for even a second, I want Kenny fired.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 07:09 PM) I wanna see if he'd work out in RF (I know Ace is with me on this) unless we get a lefty RF with a good glove. Brandon Allen made the switch for the Dbacks, although Allen is 3 inches taller.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 06:55 PM) I think it's time for extreme measures with Tank. Make him play winter ball and for the first 10-20 at bats, make him take every single pitch at the plate to get used to it. He gets up there and swings at everything, which doesn't bode well for a big league player, right? If he doesn't draw some walks, he's destined to fail. I like him, though, but his mindset is to hack away at everything. Has that worked for any player? If so gimme some examples. My plan would be interesting. Simply demand he take every pitch for 10 to 20 at bats and see if he gets used to it. Right now, his brain is conditioned to swing once he steps in a batters box. WIthout a drastic measure that doesn't figure to change. Vlad Guerrero, Delmon Young, and Pablo Sandoval. Viciedo swung at 56.5% of the pitches he saw, which is less than Vlad, Young, and Sandoval, and the same as AJ (who had the highest among regular Sox players)

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 06:28 PM) I disagree with the smaller butt. I think they have never been at the same buffet at the same time, because there would have been a fight. No doubt they are both big boys, but I think of this when I see Uribe on TV.....
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 05:09 PM) He is going to be Juan Uribe with more power and a lot less defense. And a smaller butt, and no Homer hands.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 05:08 PM) No, if he is traded, the contract increases by $1M per year and a 1 year option is automatically picked up for 2012. This is according to Kalapse's payroll resource. Oh, I had no idea what the numbers were, I thought you just meant that the fact that his contract increases was false. Cots confirms what Kalapse has..... "A trade triggers an escalator paying $1M raise to $15M annually, plus a guaranteed fifth year paying $15M for 2012."

One night stand. Went out w/ it last night, going out again tonight. Everyone loves it, and often people want to take pics w/ me.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 03:33 PM) Plus...even though the Yankees already have Captain Cheeseburger in their rotation, they're going to offer another Lefty 6/$150 this offseason. This is true. I guess the perfect storm would be that Lee stays in Texas and the Yankees get Crawford.
-
QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 04:45 PM) I do not believe that is true. What is your source? Actually, I believe he is right. And no team is going to tackle $32M+ in one trade, not even the Yankees.

Chris Rose just asked Ozzie about this trade in the WS Pregame..... Ozzie says "Really? I didn't think I was that good anymore". lol. Good answer Oz.

I'd like for Hot Fire to be able to take over 1B, but I really think he needs to be in AAA to start the next year. Still a lot of time for him to develop.

I enjoyed the comments in the MLBTraderumors site for this Rasmus/Quentin deal. Cardinals fan suggesting that any trade for Rasmus would have to start with Beckham and Sale.

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 03:09 PM) The Yankees already have a lefty SP, a really good one, and if Andy Pettite doesn't retire they'll have two of them. I'm sure they'd love to get an arm like Danks, but i don't think it's likely at the moment. What does that matter? The Sox currently have 2, and could potentially have 3 if Sale is in the rotation. I highly doubt a team often thinks "Nah, he is a pretty good lefty starter, but we already got one, we don't want another". That doesn't seem to make much sense. And besides, CC and Danks are 2 completely different lefty pitchers.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 30, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) If they take all of Marks contract, no one is about to give us anything of value for him. And they certainly won't take Mark ($14M), Pierre ($8.5M) and Teahen ($4.75M). That's adding $27.5M in one trade. That would be insane.

How abouts...... John Danks to Yankees for Brett Gardner + Gary Sanchez/JR Murphy. (Pending the Yankees sign Crawford) Yankees get a lefty SP in Danks, White Sox get a speedy, LH OF who gets on-base a ton, and a catching prospect from the Yanks. Yankees adding Crawford would make Gardner their 4th OF, and the Yankees have 4 catching prospects in their top10 prospects. Sanchez is 18 yrs old, Murphy is 19.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 29, 2010 -> 09:05 AM) You're just attracted to pregnant chicks. FYI for those that don't know this: Dee and Mac are married in real life and she is really pregnant. Also Charlie and the waitress are either married or dating....i forget which. And Pete and Kevin's wife in The League are married in real life.
