  1. You can score seven runs in a game? Huh! Learn something new every day.
  2. We're all bitching about how bad Robert looks and he's been on base 3 times
  3. Beckham right on here. Moncada way out in front of that slider.
  4. TA is just doing everything by himself
  5. How do you hit a little dribbler like that on a fastball right down the middle?
  6. That's a well-run organization though.
  7. LA. I watch a lot of Dodgers games at night while I do other stuff (and because the Sox suck but I still like watching baseball).
  8. Absolutely. If the Sox were walking like they did last year they'd have a much better record right now and would probably be averaging a run+ more a game.
  9. Absolutely. A lot of the Dodgers lineup is struggling similarly right now, but it's SUPER concerning how bad he looks and how he just cannot recognize a slider.
  10. Terrible contact. TERRIBLE. Still swinging at garbage.
  11. There's no extrapolation necessary, you're just trying to backpedal from a bad example. If you had a tangible example instead of just being pissed off about how shitty this team is (and rightfully so), you would've presented it already.
  12. Smart by Moncada. Break it down and loaf so it looks like they have a chance to throw you out with a great play, forcing the error. 4D baseball.
  13. It's your example. If you don't think it's a good one then don't use it.
  14. Lol this is one of the most effective pitching patterns for a reason. All of these players know this. They've been seeing this pattern since high school. If they need a scouting report that says "pitchers are going to do what they've always done to you" then they shouldn't be in pro baseball.
  15. They're told to swing at everything because they'll all be strikes but actually they are balls well out of the zone?
  16. Velasquez also sucks. Let's not lose sight of that fact.
  17. Game plans don't say "swing at nearly everything out of the zone". That's what almost this entire lineup is doing. They don't take walks. It literally does not matter what the game plan is if you don't walk and swing at trash.
  18. I guarantee they already know. Even teams who are terrible at advance scouting have a pretty good idea. It's absolutely up to the players to perform. In your scenario, player talent takes a backseat to preparation and that's just not the case.
  19. Coaches don't get in the box to hit, players do. You don't think every single player in this lineup knows how they're going to be pitched? Of COURSE they do. It's on them to not swing at garbage. There's nothing a coach can do or say short of benching the entire roster to stop all of them from swinging at trash.
  20. No hitting coach is preaching to swing at garbage out of the zone and never take a walk. There is no coaching or approach on earth that would help players doing this. This is all on the players.
  21. Vaughn in this right field is gonna be rough
  22. What else you want him to do? Team is playing like shit. Probably as bored watching this as we are. Gotta entertain himself somehow.
