I think a more logical boycott would be to not go past this season if Kenny Williams remains GM after this season. That is, if they don't make the playoffs. There's still a lot of time left, but they can't have two bad months in a row. It's got to get rolling soon. So this is all on Kenny. He can do whatever he wants with the coaching staff, Ozzie, the players, whatever. But he has to pay without a playoff appearance this season.

I don't think anyone had Hudson headed to the Hall of Fame, or even the top of anyone's rotation. I think some people think it was a stupid trade for the long run, and it certainly can turn out ot be a bad trade if the Sox don't make the playoffs with Edwin Jackson in their rotation, while Hudson could be a productive starter for fairly cheap over the next five years.

Hudson has always had first inning issues. Even in the minors.
