I think he's there just because Pena was used so much last night. He'll be in the pen until Saturday, and then Hudson will start Sunday. They are in a bad position if they don't get the whole series in this weekend. They don't share many days off. Basically, the Sox would have to go to Texas on September 13 during their own homestand, or not until the end of the season if necessary.

Doyle has gone a strong 6 in W-S. He may go another inning before Sale gets in there.
