  1. Sox 15-2 the last 17 dog days. We’re screwed.
  2. 14 in and outs on the 26-man, plus a few 40-man changes.
  3. My lineup tonight- Anderson, Haseley, Vaughn Burger, Grandal, Eloy Benintendi, Robert, Andrus If no Beni, Hamilton 9th, and move the other two up.
  4. When I say “do anything”, I mean DFA some guys and possibly make coaching staff/executive changes. Yes, trades will come in July.
  5. Colas was never a sure thing, and it’s not the end of the world if they send his 50 OPS+ down to get his bat going. The Sox are in the fight of their life this month if they have any hope of getting back in it. Unfortunately, we just have to be patient and watch them fail over the next 5 weeks before they do anything.
  6. Like I said yesterday, if I’m a player or coach showing up today, I’m thanking the baseball gods for the AL Central and treating today like it’s opening day. The next 32 are not that bad. They either win and stay or lose and get traded (or fired). If they get it together, 20-12 is not out if the question and they’ll be comfortably in the single digit games back with 100 left. This is me if I’m in uniform. As a fan, I’m not as optimistic. It’s put up or shut up time.
  7. Maybe we’ll be surprised later today. But probably not.
  8. Sosa was optioned yesterday. I would assume the starting point for roster moves is him and Romy traded out for TA and Alberto. Lopez is probably hitting the IL too. Colas should be sent down to play. Katz should be fired.
  9. Ryan vs Kopech
  10. Pilkington to Diamondbacks AAA team. Jose Ruiz has been good with Arizona. Hasn’t walked anyone.
  11. I will make one prediction when it comes to the Sox chances of making a run- Six weeks from today is June 12th. I predict all five teams in the Central will be under.500 on June 12th.
  12. Nick Madrigal has played in 162 big league games and has exactly 600 plate appearances. 161 hits and an OPS+ of 93.
  13. Can you? The division sucks. The Sox have an opportunity to get three games back this week. The Sox schedule in May is “easy”. The Twins schedule in May is very difficult. The five starters have made all of their starts so far- and that in of itself is a positive. Crochet and Hendriks are on the way. TA is back too. The Sox have played their worst baseball of the season, because it cannot get worse. Back to the division- the balanced schedule is showing it’s possible all five Central teams are in 8 to 15 range in quality of the AL. It may only take 82 wins to take the 3-seed (which is bs, but that’s a topic for another day). What I’m saying is the Sox need to flush the first 29 (hi Pedro), show up tomorrow night as if it’s opening day, and say we’re going to have five good months to get to over .500. If I’m a player or coach, this probably would be my attitude showing up Tuesday. As a fan, can you get there too?
  14. Good things happen when you put the bat on the ball. Good job by the Sox offense in the 9th. Fire Katz
  15. Rasmussen vs Clevinger If they call it for weather, I doubt they stick around and try tomorrow when it’s going to be worse. Rays come back to face the Cubs, so this one would probably be made up Thursday, June 1st. Go rain?
  16. His name is Montoyo, but yes, he asked Billy Russo what the bench coach’s name is.
  17. I’m just seeing Garfien’s reaction. Same as mine. What are we doing here?!!
  18. I’m watching now. Christ, trade this guy.
  19. I guess they’ve exhausted trying to show patience, but with Anderson and Alberto probably back on Tuesday, they really should do 2-3 other moves too.
  20. What really bugs me right now is how comfortable the Rays hitters were in the box. After a while, you need to throw inside. And after Paredes mocked the Sox dugout last night, how do you not drill him tonight? How? And how has the roster stayed the same since Toronto besides the Giolito/Banks move? Fucking do something!!!!
  21. Don’t get me wrong…it’s possible Pedro Grifol is a bad manager. But he walked into a shitshow of an organization.
  22. Under 3 hours. So we have that going for us.
