Your Personal W-L Record
QUOTE(BabyJesus69 @ Sep 26, 2005 -> 12:20 AM) unfortunately, i'm not exaggerating with this- i was either 4-15 or 4-16 this year. i went through a stretch of seeing 9 losses in 10 games and just stopped going; i figured i had to have something to do with it. Stay as far away from the playoff games as possible. Edit: If they get in.

If we can hold on, who do you want in the ALDS?
Yankees or Boston, just cause I hate them both and would love to see us take them out.

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!
QUOTE(3E8 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 12:45 AM) HAHA go to the Sox homepage and watch the Crede homer. Two funny things to note about Hawk's call: First, his YES is like 3 times as long as DJ's. Second, when he finally comes to a loss for words, he just decides to yell, "JOE CREDEEE" Damn he is funny. Just went back and listened to it again. That Joe Crede he throws in there at the end is hilarious. Hawk

AJ stepping on Boone=Hunter running over Burke
QUOTE(YASNY @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 01:53 AM) Considering I didn't get to see the game tonight, someone please fill me in on exactly what occured here. I had to laugh when I saw that picture. Bottom 7th Sox trailed 5-4 with Kong on 3rd and Pierz on 2nd. Rowand hits a sac fly to right, kong tags and scores. The throw home got cutoff and thrown away trying to get A.J. at 3rd and as Boone goes to the ground trying to get the ball A.J. rounds 3rd and stepped on his back and scored the go ahead run. One of many exciting moments in the game.

Bobby Jenks
Politte is the guy I trust most right now but I still think Jenks should be the closer. He just needs a day or two off and he'll be fine.

Just got The 101ers-Elgin Avenue Breakdown Revisited, Joe Strummer's band before The Clash. Only listened to it once so far but it's pretty interesting. Has a different version of Jail Guitar Doors called Lonely Mother's Son. Definitely not as good as the one on Super Black Market Clash but interesting nonetheless. Also, got The Velvet Underground-Live At Max's Kansas City recently which is worth it just for the amazing versions of Sweet Jane, but it also has a load of other excellent stuff.- Look who has baseball's best record again
Back to the original topic of this thread, which would mean a lot more if best overall record in baseball was for Home Field Advantage in the WS which is how it should be determined. Honestly, the All-Star Game can't be taken seriously if you have the fans voting and you need a representative from every team. The managers still try to get as many players in as they can. It's more of an event than a game. If baseball did the right thing and made records determine home field it would give us another thing to watch for down the stretch.- Sox vs. Royals 9-7-05
Damnit Ozzie, why the hell did I pick up Jenks for my fantasy team if you're going to do this?- Magic Number
- Rescheduled Game
When I looked at the Sox schedule for September I noticed that they have a game at Boston on the 5th. This is in the middle of a 10-game homestand and it also means that the Sox only have 1 day off the rest of the season. I realize Ozzie is going to use his September call-ups to give guys some rest but why did they have to reschedule this game? Don't they normally just wait until the end of the season and if the game has any significance play it then? Hopefully, the lack of rest won't have any impact on how they play when October rolls around. The good news is that we all have something to watch every day from here until the end of the season, except for September 12th.- Crede
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2005 -> 05:19 PM) I read a rumor that it's not broke, and he'll only be out a few games. This was from Levine and WSI, so who knows. That would be great. Everyone who dogs Crede will realize just how much we need him when they see Pablo at the hot corner. Sure, he's not a great hitter but we shouldn't be relying on our #9 guy to be scoring runs anyway. He's a vacuum at 3rd.- Sox/Cleveland: Here to 9/15
Seriously why is there always 1 untelevised game every year. And in September against a division rival nonetheless. - music
