The Braves paid $125M in SG&A last year. And that’s public info, so as accurate as you can get. So unless JR is taking $50M in compensation to be BMOC no way they spent $175M.

The Sox only lost Comcast/NBC last October. They're taking a hit this year. Each team was getting, at least, $200M in revenue sharing each year thru 2023 (it probably dropped a bit in 2024 because a few teams lost their RSN).

And they contributed, roughly, $175M to the ballpark.

The problem is the Pohlad's were baking in a significant portion of their $.5B debt into the asking price.

And the guy, supposedly, in charge has a track record of nothing but suckage. I know, I know....we need to give Getz more time because everything wrong is the fault of the previous regime and Getz had nothing to do with that.🙄

I said weren't getting anything meaningful. I'd rather take a shot on developing some 95 mph thrower that can't hit the side of a barn over someone who has a ceiling of a banjo hitting utility guy. There's a zero chance we turn a no-hit guy into something, but there's a non-zero chance we could develop a pitcher.
