QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 11, 2015 -> 04:40 PM) Bucs released Josh McCown Carry on We've gone through this before, Mike Glennon may suck, but it still makes no sense that was McCown was the starter all year when healthy. -

Hossa!!!! He's on fire. It would be great to steal a point in this game after they were playing so bad again. -

Versteeg is back tonight, Nordstrom sent back to Rockford, so Teuvo stays up but appears to be a likely healthy scratch today. -
Williams has scheduled a press conference for this afternoon where he is expected to admit that his legal given name is actually Bison Dele.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 11, 2015 -> 07:50 AM) Really a shame for the kids that some parents and coaches decided to create their own glory by cheating. I'd hope the local baseball organization who oversees that team makes sure the coaching staff aren't part of this spring's team. They should be ashamed of themselves. These are kids for christ sake. I feel like it stopped being about the kids a while ago once ESPN started printing money off the TV coverage.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 11, 2015 -> 08:15 AM) That was my favorite part. "They will either be under .500 or really, really good." They call that the Peter King special

Yuniesky Betancourt is ready, but nobody wants him!

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 03:00 PM) McNeil to co-host a morning show on 97.1 The Drive. How long until his first sabbatical? Interesting choice, going away from sports. Were Eddie & Jobo not available?

There goes one bench option Chicago White Sox @whitesox 2m2 minutes ago Tony Campana suffered a torn ACL during a recent training session and most likely will miss the 2015 season.
-
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 08:04 AM) I think so as well. Either that, or they will be a total trainwreck. Which means they will still be fun to watch.

QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 04:14 PM) Because the turf at Soldier Field can always stand more use in late November . . . http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/colle...0209-story.html Sounds like a great idea, especially over Thanksgiving with the students gone anyway. -

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 10, 2015 -> 07:18 AM) New Jereme Richmond interview. I'll believe it when I see he changed. A lot of this sounds like cliche'd sound bites. http://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20150210/ch...ind-bars-future Good luck to the kid, hopefully his actions can match his words and he does something with his life. -

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 11:39 PM) I just saw the replay and I'm not a hockey fan but why wasn't that a goal? Does the whole puck have to be over the line? Yup, the entire puck must be over the line to score a goal. It was close, but it seemed like a fraction of the puck was still on the line when he gloved it. -

The camera angle they showed on the video screen at the UC made it seem like that was easily a goal in overtime, that's why the place lost it when it was called a no goal. Seeing the different views now, I can see why they didn't overturn it, but wow was that close. -
QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:30 PM) So you mean the player has to already be very talented for steroids to make him a superstar? You mean they didn't make a 62nd round draft pick into the best hitting catcher of all time? Yup, I've always said that. There's a thin line between an everyday major leaguer and a superstar. Steroids can make that difference. Sure they did, otherwise he would have been a 62nd round draft pick that made it to the majors, but never would have been even considered for the HOF.
-
QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:27 PM) The problem is that steroids don't work that way. They don't just INSTANTLY make you a great player for the ONE season in which you take them. If they did, why on earth are the vast majority of busted steroid users fringe minor leaguers!? Without steroids, those fringe minor leaguers may have never reached the level they did. Steroids can turn a borderline A baller into a AA or AAA player.
-
QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:25 PM) Prove Frank Thomas didn't use steroids. You can't unfortunately 100% clear him, he is a product of the era.
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:22 PM) Serious question, do we really know that Piazza used steroids? I wasn't alive during the majority of his Dodger years and I didn't start watching baseball until he had just left the Mets, so I have no knowledge on whether or not he used them. Yup. If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck...
-
QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:20 PM) You have literally zero proof on either count. Prove me wrong. Oh wait, you can't because Bud Selig didn't care that his players were roided up and there was no drug testing.
-
QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 01:18 PM) I know. That's my point. Why didn't that happen with Piazza? Or rather, why didn't Anderson hit like Piazza if steroids really are so incredibly powerful? Because Anderson only used them for one season while Piazza kept using them his whole career? It's not rocket science here.

He's going to the Padres, they are officially out of control
-
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 10:50 AM) I don't completely hate this idea. The only problem with the idea is you need another hitter for the half of the season CQ will be injured.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 9, 2015 -> 07:18 AM) Well, at least we dont live in New York/Boston. (most of us) True that, Boston is just getting rocked, looks like they have up to 5 feet of snow on the ground
