QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 07:22 AM) Yeah I own him too and that was disappointing. He dropped a TD and another pass later on. The good news is he had 9 targets, so it's not as if he was an afterthought in the offense. I have Desean Jackson and Lance Moore to replace him if he continues to play like s***.

After listening to snippets of the new Krewella album, I'm convinced that going mainstream really hurt them. Some of the songs don't even sound like EDM...

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 09:55 PM) Does madden have a feature where you can speed thru the last minute during kneels. s*** is annoying. You'd think they would have come up with that by now. I guess too many people like to f*** around at the end of games. I do like that it's a lot easier to run in this year's game. Anything above All-Pro last year (and in years before) and you average like 2-3 yards a carry.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 12:41 PM) still love it http://flapship.com/directv-genie-review/ I really need to find someone to do something with Flapship. ANYONE with basic design skills to post these articles. I've got way too much work to do, but this site gets effortless hits, still, based on super old content. We're talking 4,000 hits per month with nothing new. The new content was what always made it go bananas since it's an approved Google News source. Oh, side projects. Must have been that Derrick Rose thing.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 07:41 PM) And my statement stands. At the moment, it may be simply "mutual", but believe me, in the contracts, there is plenty of room for "adding on" other advertising features they haven't mentioned yet, which will be a net gain for Google, and IMO, a net loss for all users of Google products that will now get hammered with Kit Kat ads. This is a trial, and if it's the least bit successful, you can bet your ass the next "nexus" phone you want to buy looks like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup package. I already want to buy Kit Kats now...so it's worked.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 07:34 PM) Up front maybe not...but with such a licensing agreement, there is certainly money to be made somewhere down the line. Otherwise, they wouldn't do it just for the sake of "it's cool". It's a marketing trade off that benefits both parties.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 07:24 PM) That's probably a whole bunch of upgrades for him, not to mention SSD's aren't cheap. I highly doubt his motherboard even supports them, unless he has a pretty new computer on his hands. His computer doesn't support SATA 2?

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 06:11 PM) So my main hard drive on my PC went to s*** on Friday. It was fine all evening, I left for about half an hour, came back to log on and the system was frozen. I restarted, and then it was in a System Repair/chkdsk loop until last night. I ran Western Digital's diagnostic program, and that gave me a "too many errors, lol" error message. I ran some other utility program I found (Hiren's BootCD) and that couldn't even get the HDD to mount. Luckily the drive is still under warranty, so I'll get a replacement, but I don't know how to get any data off of it at this point. If I can't get it to mount using a linux boot CD, is there any hope of getting anything off of the drive myself? There's nothing all that important on there except for Skyrim saves. (Convenient timing, I just got an external backup drive as a gift yesterday) Probably not. A crapped out drive is a crapped out drive. I think it's time for you to get an SSD. A good SSD has a much lower rate of failure (at least before it degrades after it reaches its writes limit). Not to mention the performance boost you'll get.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 12:10 PM) The national consensus seems to be that the Bears are a .500 or worse team this year. Am I just being too much of a homer, because I think they'll be at least as good as last year? I saw the Bears at #8 and #12 on two power rankings (not that it means anything). But since we are talking about national opinion, that makes me think the national writers think pretty highly of the Bears.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 3, 2013 -> 12:48 PM) So, Android v4.4 is actually code named KitKat, compete with a cross promotion with Nestle and ... KitKat candy bars. Seriously. While I don't mind KitKats...is it necessary to crossbrand this? The last thing we need is MORE advertising in our lives. I think it's hilarious. All along, everyone thought it'd be Key Lime Pie. Now it's named after a freaking candy bar. But the whole advertising thing just feels...weird. An OS named after a candy bar? That's unprecedented, but it also just feels wrong. That being said, I do like Kit Kats, they're probably one of my favorite candy bars, so I'll be eating more come halloween time to see if I can win a free tablet. On a completely serious note, a name change to the OS means that 4.4 will probably bring major changes. I'm thinking 4.4 will launch with the brand new Nexus 4 (or 5) sometime in October/November.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 30, 2013 -> 09:04 PM) We won our first two games 18-15 and 16-5. First game we were losing 15-6 going into the bottom of the 6th and we just went in a run. I was pretty nervous, and it was a bad team that had no business beating us, but our pitcher was in Wisconsin pitching. This is why softball is awesome. You're pretty much never out of it.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 1, 2013 -> 10:05 PM) boring? Another outstanding episode IMO. Skylar asking for Jesses death? Marie being so friendly with Jesse? So many good scenes. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a bad episode by any means. But this one just didn't have as many "holy s***" moments like the previous episode did.

QUOTE (Y2HH @ Sep 1, 2013 -> 08:36 AM) I think his point is that it doesn't matter that it takes a whopping 45 seconds to start up a netflix video from his PS3. I never realized how right Louie CK was with his routine where he talks about people that can't give anything a f***ing minute these days. The Chomecast is nice BECAUSE of what it costs. Otherwise, he's right, while this will change, at this very moment, it's nothing more than a Netflix/Youtube device that you paid Google to beta test for them. Sqwert is in a different category, though, since Google practically paid him to take the damn thing. He got the 3 months of Netflix credit, and in such a case that was a no brainer. They quickly yanked that offer. You can still get the code from Best Buy. I got 9 months for free.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Aug 29, 2013 -> 11:02 PM) They always say ships in 2-3 weeks though. Check slickdeals 2-3 times a day, you're bound to find it in stock. I'm talking about the Best Buy website BTW, not Amazon or Google Play.
