  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 13, 2012 -> 08:54 AM) Aldridge should've been an all-star last year and should be a shoe-in to make it this year. He's elevated his game considerably the last couple years. Yes, they're only a handful of "superstars" in the league. Then you've got the next tier. I think Aldridge is in that tier. And the dude just turned 26. He could get better. As far as big men go, yeah, I should've been more clear. A "big" man today is not the same as 15 years ago. Dirk is an outlier. He's one of the most unique talents to ever play the game. I don't think of him as a "big" man. I was thinking more along the lines of 6'10 and up guys. And I don't look at Kevin Durant as a "big" either. Just in case you wanted to throw him out there. Aldridge isn't a superstar. I tend to think he's a top 20 player. He might be top 5 among big men, but even then, you have Howard, Love, Gasol, Bosh, Randolph, Lopez, and Bynum as competition. Just thinking about it, he'd probably rank 4th or 5th in that list of guys.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 10:09 PM) I can see why some would be upset. As a darkie myself, I imagine he was just messing around. I've got Mexican friends and whenever we go out to get some quick grub they joke that I probably want to go to KFC or Popeyes. Because black people=fried chicken. Stereotypes are far different than Luke Scott thinking Felix Pie is a some kind of a monkey.
  3. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 09:58 PM) Fair enough. I hate Manu. I always draft him in fantasy and I always end up regretting it. He's so damn good when he's on the court. My league has an IR. One of my friends stupidly dropped him. I picked him up and stashed him. I'll make use of his services in two months. I'll have Wade, Manu, Thornton, Paul George, and Matthews as my SGs. Can you say depth?
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 09:32 PM) The Spurs won 61 games a season ago. With Manu healthy, I don't see the case for Orlando. But Manu's not healthy...
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 09:16 PM) lmao. Lakers > Magic Mavs > Magic Spurs > Magic Blazers > Magic Clippers > Magic Nuggets/Magic could go either way. The Grizzles aren't healthy. But they would definitely have a case. There's a reason Dwight wants out. And it's not because he loves Jason Richardson. Spurs depending on if Manu is healthy. But he's always hurt. So might have to eliminate them. There's no way the Spurs are better.
  6. Greg Monroe's a freakin beast.
  7. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 08:05 PM) Please tell me your hate for Luke Scott isn't inspired by the Obama thing? Even if it was, Luke Scott is an idiot. I believe he also threw banana chips at Felix Pie. What he's done and said just makes him look like a racist southern hick.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 03:02 PM) Darn you, Pennington!!! I think that was the game...A's? There were too many in that 4-18 stretch to count. At any rate, WHY WHY WHY haven't the Marlins signed Juan Pierre yet? What gives? Rowand was bad enough, but...just saying. I am waiting for the "Rowand Watch" when his career is rejuvenated and he single-handedly wins the NL East with his mythical "staring death in the face and not blinking" defensive abilities. Ozzie has Bonifacio down there (wasns't too bad last year) that is a very similar player to Pierre, just a lot more versatile. But Pierre should be destined to be with Ozzie again.
  9. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 01:50 PM) HAHAHA. @KingJames: Unexceptable from the Line! Simple as that. Back at it on Friday night That's what happens when you don't go to college.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 11:05 AM) LSU played @ Alabama last night. When LSU crossed center court on the opening possession, the crowd gave them an ovation.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 11:38 PM) A bunch of MLB '12 videos just came out. During one of the videos talking about full MOVE control, the guy demonstrating said you CAN mix and match, which is HUGE. So I can do a franchise of pitching/field w/ the Dualshock 3, and then swing the bat w/ the MOVE. Awesome news. Also, they said there is a new mode called "Diamond Dynasty". The name is all these released, but they said it is "a new mode not seen in any other sports game, not football, hockey, or basketball." Said they have been working on it for 4 years now. I'm really pumped to hear what it is all about. I don't know if I should get The Show for PS3 or get the Vita and get the Show on that. The move functionality is really intriguing, but I'd like to have a good excuse to get a Vita.
  12. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 12:30 PM) It's almost as bad as It's amazing how the ref is just standing there watching that.
  13. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 12, 2012 -> 12:01 PM) Since everyone can get behind LeBron bashing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32o8uHmX36o I counted 6 steps.
  14. QUOTE (sunofgold @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 10:55 PM) Thornton should NOT be considered for the closer role. He just sucks at closing. Last year 3 saves, 4 blown saves. In his career, 20 saves and 25 blown saves. That is enough. He is fine as a set up man. Has to be between Crain and Reed right now. Unless the White Sox sign another reliever. Yeah, he was bad last year. But just so you know, his other blown saves mostly came as a setup man. That's not exactly fair to consider when evaluating him as a closer.
  15. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 10:12 PM) Sox, Bears, Badgers. Bulls are still working themselves back. Do they gotta win 72 in a 66 game season to convince you they're legit? Haha.
  16. I hate how late the Clippers games are. I would have liked to watch this Douche City vs. Lob City match up, but I gotta get up tomorrow.
  17. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 10:11 PM) And you know at least two, if not three, of those teams will get in with sub-.500 records. I'm not so sure of that actually. I think the Pacers will finish above .500 this year. Boston's at least a .500 team if they can stay semi-healthy. The Knicks aren't going to be below .500. The Sixers probably won't be either. Then you're left with the Hawks and Orlando. The only way I see Orlando going below is if they trade Howard. With the Hawks, you never know, but they're at least a .500ish team. But after those 8 teams, we probably won't see any teams near .500. Maybe Toronto or Milwaukee with a slight chance of Cleveland winning 25 or so games. But outside of that, it's a sea of awfulness.
  18. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 10:05 PM) Rose was getting pissed off at Rubio during the game (specifically during that 20-2 run). Rubio forced a couple turnovers in a row and then proceeded to tear up the Bulls defense on the other end of the floor, which led to a terrible Rose three-point attempt IIRC. I wouldn't be surprised if it was "f*** you man" at all. It surprises me that Rose would talk s*** like that, especially to a guy like Rubio.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 10:04 PM) Yes, because two teams make a conference. You've basically got 2 legitimate contenders, a couple above average teams, and lottery s***. You can literally tell who the 8 playoff teams already. Heat, Bulls, Sixers, Celtics, Pacers, Hawks, Magic, and Knicks. There's a 95% those teams make the playoffs.
  20. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 07:29 PM) Alabama Crimson Tide (Football) Miami Heat Miami Marlins Yeah, why are you here?
  21. Sox, Bulls, Bears. Bears and Bulls can be flip-flopped based on the time of year it is.
  22. http://www.nba.com/games/20120110/CHIMIN/g...8#nbaGIboxscore Watch the end of the recap video. They blurred out Rose saying something to Rubio (I think it was Rubio at least, that's who was guarding him). I think I saw "f*** you man" from reading his lips (hard to do since it's blurred out a bit). It could have been "f*** yeah", but you'd think he would have said it with a little more expression.
  23. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 09:33 PM) There is 0 reason why John Wall should not be awesome. He has a lot to improve on though. And it doesn't look like he spent the off-season doing any improving.
  24. Mike James could be our starting PG on Friday. Oy.
  25. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 11, 2012 -> 09:26 PM) I believe Jordan had to do it once. Anyone see John Wall's lob attempt down 14 with under a minute to go. Nicely done, kid. I shouldn't have called Lucas inefficient, John Wall makes him look good. So much talent though. He needs better talent around him.
