QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 26, 2010 -> 05:25 PM) If the Giants and Eagles both lose this week, the Bears get the bye. Eagles probably won't lose. They probably won't lose next week either.

QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Dec 26, 2010 -> 05:21 PM) Carlos Boozer is dominating the Pistons right now. It's nice to have two 20 PER players on the same team. When Joakim is there, we almost have 3.

Bears will probably need to win next week to get that bye. I don't see Philly losing to the Vikings and Dallas.

Honestly, I don't see how the refs were that unfair yesterday. It was bad, but the Knicks got fouled a good deal of times and nothing was called. I bet the Knicks fans are probably b****ing too, even though they won.

QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 25, 2010 -> 08:16 PM) I love listening to Bulls fans b**** about refs. It's incredibly similar to Illini fans b**** about refs. And Bears fans b**** about refs. And White Sox fans b**** about refs. There's refs in baseball now?

They were ice cold for about 4 minutes in the 4th quarter. That's what pretty much lost the game. Boozer and Rose were both missing shots. That's when we need that 3rd guy (not Luol) to step in shot well to keep the scoring up.

Minor League talent rankings
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) There's a shock. I figured it would be the Brewers or Cardinals. But I'm not surprised at all. I expect BA to rank us right around the bottom three as well. They did the Brewers' list before the Brewers made the Greinke trade.

2010-11 MLB Offseason Catch-All
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 05:32 PM) Kinda off-topic. But the drunk driver that killed Nick Adenhart and two other people got 51 years to life. Whoa! I had already made a pact with myself never to drink and drive again long before that incident. This just reaffirms that. And Stallworth got like a month in jail for something similar. Blows your mind sometimes how some of these athletes get away with things.

Rhodes signs with Texas. Wonder what that contract might look like. Texas has a pretty nice bullpen with O'Day, Olliver, Rhodes, and then Feliz.

So the Clippers didn't score a single point for 10 min...? Edit: the scoreboard was just screwed up I think. The NBA one didn't even update the Bulls' final score for a while.

Hinrich actually played a really good game today, at least he did in the first half. A win over the Knicks on Christmas day would be a nice present.

White Sox Off-Season Catch All Thread
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 12:50 PM) I'd rank the Angels without hesitation over the Tigers and Dodgers (though Clayton Kershaw is my Carlos Gonzalez for pitchers). Far as Yuniesky, I'm sure he's going strictly by the 78 RBIs. Which is kinda sad in this day and age. Yeah, I'd say Haren and Weaver are better than anything those other teams can possibly offer.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 11:48 AM) He ranks the Tigers (lol), Braves and Dodgers over the White Sox. I'll give him the Braves, but the Dodgers and Tigers...ok lol. Olney also said Yuniesky Betancourt had a good season last year. Maybe good for his standard...but not in comparison to anybody else.

QUOTE (bschmaranz @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 10:54 AM) They're tied with the Dodgers for #10. He says it's a solid core and if Peavy bounces back, they can be great. Very short writeup, two sentences. There's 9 rotations that are better...? I count Red Sox, Phillies, Giants, Cardinals, Rays, maybe Oakland, maybe Milwaukee, and I have a hard time thinking of anybody else.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 09:56 AM) How am I suppose to assume that's what you meant when all you mention is Joba and Nova? C'mon saberboy. lol. I thought internet mind reading was a hobby of yours.

When I saw the Bulls lead by like 30ish, I immediately thought of last year and that game against Sacramento...don't know why.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 22, 2010 -> 09:48 AM) And that would effectively end my time as a Sox fan. That would be a terrible swap. You just said that would be a huge haul on the last page...lol. I was talking about them being part of the deal, not just those two. Romine would obviously be in it as well as Betances.

If we can get Joba and Nova back for Danks, I'd be all for that trade.

2010-11 MLB Offseason Catch-All
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 03:55 PM) Rotoworld thinks Jenks is a relative bargain compared to the rest of the free agent deals handed out to relievers this offseason. Perhaps they don't have time to be objective when they are fellating all things Red Sox. Even in a good season WAR-wise in 2010, he was only worth about $6 million. And those numbers aren't even sustainable considering his FIP was that low because he didn't allow that many home runs. Yet, that was because his FB% was an incredibly low 20.8%. Bobby's probably going to have a better ERA next year, but his FIP isn't going to be under 3 again.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 21, 2010 -> 03:31 PM) Compared to chw42? I don't think so. I once asked him for his phone number and he said wOBA .815-456 and gave me a Win Probability added of 1.43 of guessing the other 4 numbers. I love playing hard to get, you're not the only one.

A Yankees fan from another forum brought up a possible deal for Edwin Jackson. Sox would get: David Robertson, Manny Banuelos, PTBNL That's one pretty good pitching prospect, a good bullpen arm, and $8.75 million of salary relief. Might not make a whole ton of sense for our rotation, but in terms of the entire team, it might not be the worst thing.

That broadcast yesterday was just horrible in general. They sucked off Favre for the entire first quarter, it was just awful.

That's definitely game. Cutler with 20 TDs on the year now. Awesome.
